Nice fly young man. For those who haven't got or don't want to buy Magic quills you can get the same effect by ribbing with a 6/0 thread and cover that using Uni Mylar Clear. The technique is called a Paraloop. It's an amazingly effective pattern on moving and stillwater. Well executed without the Gallows Tool, mine is a bent coat hanger and a small spring.
Merci 🎉 Steve !!

Excellent Steve 👌
class steve, similar to a comparahackle- like the way u do it
Really really nice looking fly. Thanks for sharing it!
Great fly Steve...I always use this post method instead of tying in a separate post material as it cuts down on the thorax bulk. 👍

That looks great . Definitely tempted to try tying and fishing this although what I end up with will probably bear no resemblance to your creation
Beautiful fly
Love that Steve, superb.

I've just got two packs from flybox today so will be tying them on Sunday do you need to varnish the magic quill or is it fine to leave as is
Leave as is but a coat of varnish won't hurt.
What brand and color thread are you using?
Light Cahill
