(skip 1 st, sc, skip 1 st, 5 dc, ) repeat
    sew together to make rose

    TOP TIP!!
...try this update on this pattern, to my mind it's miles better.. Ch31 copy her first petal and instead of a single crochet swap for a slip stitch. rpt until you have made 4 petals in total but use a slip stitch instead of the single crochet. On the last 3 petals swap her 5 double for 5 treble crochet then use the single crochet. I found this makes more defined scalloped petals

You are awesome, I learnt crochet just by seeing your videos, such a clear instruction and slowly stitched every single loop for a beginner to understand. Thank you so much. May you do more and more videos. ❤️

Your flower patterns are so much easier than most flower patterns and they are just as beautiful and maybe more so. Thanks and God bless.

You're so clear, concise and you put instructions on top of the screen as well. While my Mom who has Dementia and the volume of TV must be a bit high for her to hear, I'm able to follow this tutorial without sound.
Thank you for such a great video!

Yes, I love how she does her tutorials. She also uses colors of yarn that make the stitches easy to see.

Tried this out with size 6 yarn for amigurumi. The pattern is great size for the petals but I think I'll need to make the chain longer for a fuller rose of that size, also the leaves were perfect to go around (did 3 leaf petals). Thank you for sharing the pattern and how to do it ❤

I can't for the life of me figure out how you start to use the yarn/needle and how you enter the needle and where so it will roll. I think your hands are in the way. I even slowed the video all the way down. Not sure if you can explain it. I don't know if the yarn gets wrapped around it or what.
