Rangkaian Lagu-lagu Melayu by Suhaimi Yacub [New Version]
SDAR Symphonic Band’s performance under the baton of Azman Hakim, in the 21st Wind Orchestra Festival. The festival was held on 6th - 9th of April 2019 at Dewan Canselor Tun Abdul Razak (DECTAR), UKM.
SDAR Symphonic Band played one of the famous piece, arranged by Mr. Suhaimi Yacub entitled “Rangkaian Lagu-Lagu Melayu”. The piece consists of several classic Malay songs (Pasir Panjang,Tudung Periuk, Lancang Kuning, Putri Bersiram and Joget Serampang Larut). Mr. Suhaimi made the arrangement stands out by combining these songs and some improvisations have also been made by him in order to further enhance the arrangement.
