Nice to see you two didn't humiliate Crash anymore than he already felt. Taking a wide turn is all he did wrong.
Well perfect example of climbing a hill with the morning sun blinding you and the road turns and you cannot see until last min.
To be fair he kinda has to live up to his nickname.

Thing is, if people are poking fun at you, including the boss you can pretty much assume your job is safe.
It's when everyones angry you've got to worry.
Most of the bosses I've had have never really grilled me for the mistakes I've made - they quickly worked out no one could kick me harder than I kick myself.

Bubba Dump is such a beast. Great job on the first DP towing and recovery for the new year. Be careful on the cleaning job that looks like a good place to have a bad day.

those big haul trucks absolutely do not f**k around, a little bit of ballast in the bed, and it could probably have pulled the dump truck out the ditch sideways
Great drone footage of the tow! In Crash's defense, that ridiculous non-shoulder on a narrow road was an accident just waiting to happen!!!

i used to work with a guy who helped his father haul sand for the state of Virginia. He was on an uphill slope and he took off too fast. Popped a u joint. He was ready for his father to chew him out really good, but his father never said a word. They got in the pick up to go get parts. Later on, his uncle told him that his father popped 2 u joints in one day. All was good.
The loggers left a mess. nice job cleaning it up .
The loggers paid for logs. The remainder is yours to do as you please. Where I’m from. First-hand experience and apparently the same where he is.
out where we are, the loggers are required by law to remove everything on the block by a certain date, or they could be subjected to big fines as well as to burn deadfall and blowdowns and scraps nothing is to be left that can be considered wildfire risk or fuel that doesn't mean they always do but it is required nonetheless.
And firewood cutters have their own areas that they are allowed to cut in but have to be permitted and not to cut any alive timbers, only dead trees, as well remove any snags as well.
Poor Crash he felt bad about almost flipping the truck
Loggers should be required by law to clean up the mess they leave instead of leaving it up to the landowner to have to pay for cleanup out of what money they got from selling the timber

Great job on cleanup. My Godparents built their post and beam home with everything sourced off the property. The builder has draft horses. It was something to watch them work. Selecting each timber for the frame. Also left way less impact on the ground compared to skidder / heavy equipment. The tops fed the outdoor furnace for the first 4yrs. Its like someone plopped a beautiful home in the middle of thousands of acres of healthy forest.
This video was one of your most interesting showing not just normal but unusual work, including the dump truck recovery. Good job 👍🇺🇸
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Sometimes a normal day is a crazy day but it is normal. You never know what is going to happen. That’s life in a small business.

They always leave the tops, but they also generally don't log in people's front yards except for a few specific trees.

If you're not in the land clearing business, loggers usually give 2 prices, 1for timber pay and 1 for timber and cleanup which gives the landowner less money. Guess what they generally choose? Not griping as it kept us working lol

Not sure the landowner even breaks even since he has to pay to clean up the mess the logger leaves. Apparently the owner is happy the area is more open. Nice introduction.

@@mikesorg6746he did say it was loggers and they usually work in the woods not in someone's backyard. If he had gotten so called professionals in that comes with a premium and would have probably cost a dam sight more than what dp charged
@@mikesorg6746 I've never seen a logging company take the tops. They usually just mulch them or leave them lay. And you've never had a logging company on your property because the price of wood right now is through the roof so I'm sure the landowner made out pretty nice.
It’s really sad that people without skills and tools have to pay other people with the skills and tools. That’s life buddy. Nobody said the landowner had to pay anybody to do anything. He could’ve learned to do it himself. He could also clean up himself.
You can’t make someone a victim of their own choices. They already beat you to that.
Years ago I worked a similar view only it was on a lake instead of a river…The owner paid x number of dollars a year to have the whole area landscaped…by the time she was done with the plot of land that no one wanted she sold it for more money then was invested plus a tidy profit because of the gorgeous view it provided….
Tops, and even whole trees are turned into chips in my area. It's awesome to watch.

I have been in excavating for over 40 years and have seen just about everything so it takes a lot to surprise me, what crash did was just a ooops!!!

Nice recovery. Made good use of available equipment and nothing got broke up. On the other hand, the small cleanup operation sure looks to be a challenge.
I can tell you what happened. That front wheel dropped off the edge of the pavement and wham! the truck got sucked off the road. Pretty good piece of driving to bring it all to a stop without flopping over on its side. Well done Crash.

Back in the 70s I was on a boat trip on the Mississippi river and loggers in Arkansas cleared a bunch of trees and shoved everthing in the river. You would probably get scolded for doing that here.

Nice drone intro to the job. Just a cleanup really under the threat of rock fall - some people like to live dangerously. Talking about dangerous - Crash that was a wide turn gone wrong. Fun to watch the extraction though.
