      I thought so! Way more interesting then what I'd put together.

    Oooo big book challenge for the summer!?! I wanna try this now 😅

    I (kinda) recently bought Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, I really enjoyed the movie, looking forward to what you think. I've also owned A Long Fatal Love Chase for years, but have been afraid to tackle it b/c I wasn't a fan of Little Women - you're the first person I've heard talk about it, ever, so might try and give it a shot next year. Really love your Bingo game!

      @noteworthyfiction  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! I enjoyed the game too. A Long Fatal is really exciting. VERY different then Little Woman, there's a reason that it was marketed in the 90s as a thriller.

    Lots of great possibilities. Safe travels, Nicole. 🥰

    This is such a fun game...and that is quite the TBR!

      Thanks. And I should have ended it with "to be continued..."

    I love Station Eleven and the next two books (The Glass Hotel and Sea of Tranquility). Not technically a series but they are all connected.

    • @noteworthyfiction
      @noteworthyfiction  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      oooo!! God to know. I had heard that, but wasn't sure which books, so that helps.

    • @Thecatladybooknook_PennyD
      @Thecatladybooknook_PennyD 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The last 2 most connected...I had to squint to find any in the first to the other two. Lol

    • @TheLeniverse
      @TheLeniverse 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Thecatladybooknook_PennyD I think the only reason I found connections between Station Eleven and the other two is that I read them back to back 😂 Sea of Tranquility is my favourite of the three.

    • @Thecatladybooknook_PennyD
      @Thecatladybooknook_PennyD 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheLeniverseI reread SE and thought I picked up on something at the end that's connected to Sea but someone kept telling me no. 😅 I need to reread all 3 again. Maybe in December for Remember December.

    • @TheLeniverse
      @TheLeniverse 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Thecatladybooknook_PennyD Mainly Station Eleven is just an alternative history to the other two. Divergent paths. But you meet some of the same characters.

    I’m halfway through The Mysteries of Paris and loving it. It also is a very long book-about 1300 pages.

      yes! I'm reading it with a buddy and we're discussing it on discord. We're going slow at about 1ch/day. In July we're reading Books V and VI. You're welcome to join us on discord if you'd like.

    Phillip K. Dick: UBIK.
    I just picked up Station Eleven a week ago.
    Drive Your Plow: was a fun read for me.
    No Fibonacci sequence? Ben (Ben Reads Good) has a "translated" prompt for July so I'll read Norwegian Wood (Murakami).

    • @noteworthyfiction
      @noteworthyfiction  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Apparently I wanted to read Drive Your Plow. Might do anyway. Don't worry Fibonacci hasn't been forgotten. 😉

    Your TBR games are so inspiring! I picked up The Phantom Tollbooth today for the read-along. I immediately flipped through to see the illustrations and you are right, they are adorable! How the heck will I be able to wait until July 27?!

      I love TBR games, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. Honestly, I'm the wrong person to ask about waiting. I'd say read it now and then read it again! 😂🥰

    I really love your TBR game videos. It's not a method that would work for me (in part because I am slave to my library holds) but I think that's part of why I enjoy watching you play the game. My "big book that I will be reading all summer a few pages at the time" is Ducks, Newburyport, which is an odd one. I think it would drive me mad if I attempted more than 30pages (max!) per day 😅

    • @noteworthyfiction
      @noteworthyfiction  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks. It was very hard playing this with library books, so I definitely get that. I've considered Ducks and I'd have to read it the same way for the same reason.

    My library has many of the books I want to read on Hoopla. I actually found an inexpensive tablet on sale and read Hoopla books on there since I can't read them on my Kindle. It was been worth it.

    • @noteworthyfiction
      @noteworthyfiction  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a great idea! I might invest in a cheap, used, or refurbished one this summer.

    What fun! And all of these look great. Can't wait to hear your thoughts as usual! I tried Drive Your Plow and only got about a chapter in. It was going to be too weird for me. 😅 To the Bright Edge of the World was lovely as was Howards End. I eagerly await your results. 😊

    I had Maurice and Howards End on my June pile of possibilities for pride month. I read Maurice first. I found it to be good but the ending was bittersweet. It’s not looking like I will get to Howards End before the end of June. Oh well, that’s why it’s a PoP and not a strict TBR.

    I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT MARINA! I really hope you like it and I didn't recommend a DNF LOL. Aside from Marina, this looks like a great selection of books. I'll check your SG and weekly Wrap-Ups to see your opinions. I feel like I'll be adding a few to my TBR list LOL.
    Great video as always. It's so fun to watch them :)

    I read Carlos Ruiz Zafon's first book and really enjoyed it overall. I have a couple of other books that I am looking forward to trying. I hadn't heard of Marina but will have to keep it in mind. I recently hauled Station Eleven. I am hoping to get to it this autumn. I hope your reads go well.

    I love watching your picks! Btw does anyone know where Nicole is moving to? Sounds far, and Im anxiously waiting for the new set up! I hate moving, but love looking at new places! lol! I feel like she's talked about where at some point, but I've missed it. Best of luck moving!

      Starting in 2 weeks? You'll see updates in our newer location. I'm keeping the where private as it's a bit easier to locate, so you didn't miss it I haven't said. New setup will be just for a few months. It'll be about 4-6mos until I have my stuff again, so you'll get lots of new locations.

      @noteworthyfiction I forgot to mention u probably haven't mentioned due to privacy lol!! Durp on my end. The fam I was a nanny for had a big move a long time ago, ot took 4-6 months to get all their stuff in one place! I do not envy that. Best of luck either way! I hope the new place has some kick *ss libraries!
