Iy was amazing to see cute brave OLI climbing most of both the rocks by himself. Early morning sunrise looks beautiful. Hope you lovely family likes and enjoy this little island nation. SriLanka with full of surprises. Keep exploring. Much love ❤️
Thank you so much for visiting Sri Lanka and Sigiriya. Sigiriya has so many wonders. I have climbed it 4 times and each time I find more things that are. more mysteries. For example, the precarious 1000 ton rocks held secure by little rocks. It is 1000s of years older than the recent history of kasayapa. Olly was amazing too
Wow we did not not know that, thank you for sharing! This was Tegan’s second time and you are spot on, you do find more things and she felt it was somehow even more magical! ❤
How was your experience climbing with Ollie on Pidurangala and being on the top? Someone mentioned not to go as The rock isn’t sealed off. However, I hadn’t thought that our child would have the chance to run around but hold our hand.
Not a problem at all. It’s not sealed off but it’s a huge flat surface at the top, so you can easily stay away well away from the edge. Sunset was beautiful. We thought the trek down might be the risk, but it was fairly well lit. (Sometimes had to put phone light on and went down slow and steady) It was one of our favourite days/experiences.

What carrier did you have?
This is the Izmi toddler carrier with cooling mesh. It was great to travel with as it’s really light and easy to fold up.
