- Alcohol was banned from the FIFA 2022 world cup stadiums in Qatar 2 days before the event started. Beer was sold only in fan fest areas and other areas of Qatar which already sold beer. I have however found the secret to drinking alcohol outside of the stadiums. The secret is having an expensive hospitality ticket. Totally reasonable for Qataris to ban alcohol sales in stadiums. They put safety as priority. Scotland, France, Spain, Portugal.. etc ban it as well. ... The atmosphere is phenomenal.
Europian countries don't ban it as far as i know.

For a once-in-a-lifetime thing $700 USD extra doesn’t seem too bad but that’s not including flights hotel and everything else. If you can afford it, why not. Of course if you are on any sort of budget then it’s obviously a ridiculous extravagance.

Agree, why bother having it in 3 countries, its going to be a pain for every one, and will cost lots of money for the fans traveling every other day to watch a game, booking hotels every day and not seeing all the fans together, the whole world should come up with a plan and let Qatar host the world cup every 4 years and share the profit in some ways or an other, so all the fans can be in one place❤️

Too bad the US lost..but with their youth and lack of #9, it was a matter of time. Nice VIP area. If I paid that much for it, I would definitely arrive 3-4 hrs before the game. The food looked so good...welp at least next WC in North America and I'm definitely flying in from Tokyo for that!

Addiction to alcohol means drinking way to much but still not satisfied and want more getting drunk. You cannot say it's an addiction when people are only drinking a pint or only a glass or a can. Besides they have gone without alcohol most of the time in Qatar that they only get to enjoy it at the fan zone.

Hopefully Qatar will legalize Alcohols, Bars, Night Clubs, Gambling, Casinos. Dubai have all of these except Casinos, they will have Casinos by 2026.
