The most intense master sword pull of all time, followed by the emotional weight of Zelda's final wishes... then it snaps back in her head "you cannot carry any more melee weapons"
I like how everyone sees that final memory and get all torn up. Then while they're either crying or trying to hold back tears they collect all the flowers because we are all hoarders lol
When I got the last memory, I went straight to the Light Dragon and left a Silent Princess on her mane since I knew it was her favorite. I was in tears the whole time
I crowned her with an armload of them... THEN I claimed the Restored Master Sword. Her last words as herself were a request. "Protect them all!" I intend to. I won't say 'the Demon King won't know what hit him.' I will make SURE he knows... *_I_* hit him. And I'll make sure he knows WHAT WITH, too.
Remember that in the five years between BOTW and TOTK, Zelda was living her life for the first time ever. During that time, she gained a true appreciation for Hyrule, its cultures, peoples, history, and wildlife. She set up a research team and established a school in Hateno where she taught children (to one of whom she became a sort of surrogate mother). She loved her kingdom, and her people grew to love her in return. And that's why this scene is so devastating. Zelda gave up her very existence to save the kingdom she had grown to love so much. And she had complete faith in Link to finish the job.
Not only that, but imagine the emotional toll this has taken on Link. He was chosen to be her knight, had to endure her lashing out, became incredibly close to her, died for her, was resurrected and had to overcome amnesia while fending off the apocalypse, then finally gets to be with her without the weight of everything on his shoulders, she moves in with him, he supports her endeavors, he probably falls in love with her if he hadn’t already, then he goes down Hyrule Castle with her, loses her, searches all over the country for her, only to realize she had to give up her identity to save Hyrule, with seemingly no way to get her back. Either the most emotionally tough being in existence, or needs a lifetime of therapy.
yeah that would be nice 🥲 i wonder if they’ll release a master sword trials like they did in botw to have it always glow. i know it glowed if it was within the divine beasts but yeah i wish it glowed now too 🙁
@@WhatifJulia It wasn't just within the Divine Beasts. The blade would glow anytime Link drew near anything Gloom-related. And only at that time would it be at it's strongest. However, the completion of the Master Sword Trials in BOTW allowed it to be fully-powered, and thus glow, anytime you drew it.
Man, they nailed the overworld cutscene to that of botw. Interesting enough if you return to the forgotten temple, you would have an interesting interaction with Impa as you informed her what you found from the tears you memorize. But unfortunately it is very depressing for her to say that she would look over the sources they have but could not do more for the state of the light dragon. Not much to the importance for the story but it is a very sad interaction between her and Link to basically can’t do nothing after their discovery.
when they first mentioned the dragons i was like “oh she’s gonna be a dragon” then got totally distracted by everything else then got the last memory and cried like a baby back bitch 😢😢 i am still not okay
If you talk to the great deku tree before getting the sword, he tells you where he feels the energy of the master sword, and it is a moving dot. Got the sword before cleaning up the dragon tears quest.
This game have so many little details, when you put the Master Sword on the altar and she travels back in time to reach Zelda, after that moment the Light Dragon apears in the present and soaring in the skies opening the path for Link to leave the sky island. If you don't noticed, the light dragon only apears after you do that.
i did get to notice that yeah! the memory order i discovered in was great for that thankfully. i didn’t notice when she turned into a dragon all the tears dispersed in that moment too 🥺 i don’t think i caught that the first time but rewatching i did
Sorry but this isnt true :( the light dragon was clearly visible as soon as you exit the cave of rebirth. It would make a lot more sense if what you said was true though!
@@philipsparks6089 now i see, i thought was farosh because of the color scheme, and now replaying the intro i notice something, the master sword is not in her head... 🤔 Damn, my theory was good because i thought that was another dragon.
Honestly the best part of this game for me was the music. Hearing different themes and motifs from previous Zelda games made me super emotional every time.
right!! like the integration of Fi’s theme broke my heart, and hearing it combine with zelda’s lullaby made me so sad. them both working together to aid eachothers journey 🥺 ouch.
I didn't even know it was Zelda when I flew up to her on my hover bike, then I found the Master Sword on her head, grabbed it and pulled it off. I already saw the cutscene where Zelda was told that she could turn into a dragon by swallowing her secret stone. I was like, "Hey Light Dragon! Let me get on yo head! Wait, is that the Master Sword? Zelda?? I that you???"
The Light Dragon is in the game the whole time. That's the dragon that opens the cloud barrier that lets you leave the Great Sky Island at the beginning of the game.
This game man, I love it. Also I realized that the sword actually has a different colour for the majority of the blade, and it marks out the damage that it received
I feel bad.. i didnt have any of the memories when i got the master sword. I started by grinding stamina so i could explore the the depths more easily. Talked to an npc dont even remember which, got master sword quest and pulled the sword, smacked her for a scale to sell to beedle and took some selfies.... 😢 felt bad after watching the memories..
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you talk to the deku tree that will bring the light dragon closer to the ground again. No hoverbike needed. You have to fight gloom hands in the depths first, but it's worth it because it also gives you four more shrines.
I noticed how the other dragons still move their head up and down while you're on their head, but for the Light Dragon, she keeps her head still so you have less of a chance of falling off
I just had a thought. That golden sky realm where we pull the Master Sword is totally the heavens where the sky islands came from and where the dragons flew off to in Breath of the Wild. It's so perfect for Zelda to take us up there as a dragon to finally hand us the sword she's been powering up for tens of thousands of years.
So... no one want to peel that stone off ganon🤔 Just saying🤷♂️ On a side note thinking on it the light dragon the only one that does not attack link at all
Zelda's such a big fan of Pokemon, it looks she even has a Tera Type from Scarlet and Violet. I guess I just never expected that Tera Type to be Dragon.

Lmao when i first did this i didn’t connect the dots that immortal dragon was literally a dragon, so i thought that puppet zelda was her and shed lost herself 😂😂
wait a min how can zelda fly around the sky for 10,000 years but she was with link before she went back in time? doesn't this mean there already 2 zelda as one went back in time and the other zelda was flying high in the sky? how can she travel from the past and back in the present day in 10,000 years? so me that 2 swords and 2 zelda.

I mean it kind of has that finish/new texture to it when it's not glowing, but I think that'd be an awesome detail!
Could also do that as a reference to some of the oldest games where the maximum sword upgrade was golden.
