Hi Nathan. Video length.. No Problem 👍 You Both gave us a in depth format on how to rectify /fix, "Step by Step" Which will be appreciated by All who watch. Thanks, See you both in the next one. 👍👍
Great professional standard video. Nice to see genuine new parts being used, and noting they are cheaper than SH parts! Lots of interesting tips on how to disassemble the dashboard without damaging anything. For once a dashboard that seems to have been designed to be taken apart unlike some I have seen. VW Group quality shows through in the manufacture of all their cars. Looking forward to the next installment guys. 👍😎
Thank you George . Was a very easy removal and install some cars can be a pain though and for the next video Weather hasn’t been on our side recently I have dropped the car off at the body shop which they are kindly going to let me finish the next video there in the dry 😂 hope you have a good Christmas and new year
Thanks for your video, i am repairing a Passat GTE 70 plate with airbag blown nd the power steering is stiff. I use OBDELEVN PRO did not sort out the power steering fault, after seeing this video i will get the X431 controller to code the power steering rather than take it to the dealer. Thanks
Few thing also make sure the bonnet is open is showing in the car dash display and maybe some times it will need you to do it with car started or even just ignition off and also it can take like 4 or 5 tried before it completes
Thank you Skoda Katie we have half the next video pre filmed but weather hasn’t been good the last few weeks so I’ve dropped the car to the body shop which they are kindly letting us finish filming the next video there also Hope you have a good Christmas and new year
Thank you mick and will do won’t don’t tend to look out for a pacific car we just look what comes into the auctions with good spec and low miles also hope you have a good Christmas and new year
Hey thanks for a great video I’m in same situation Octavia copart😅 question! Didn’t see you do anything with the module, is that because bags bought from Skoda so there programs to work with the car, or is the procedure you did at the end all that needs to be done? Looking to fit second hand just parts for me from Skoda 3500 😮
Hi Ricky with most vag cars the air bag module aren’t locked like for example a Peugeot . So once you replace the items that have deployment you can reset and clear the fault codes with a diagnostic tool
Hi Nathan Thumbs up from me great video...I ve got a question though when just the seat belts both side pretension go ..do you have to get new srs module or get one reprogramed ? or can you just buy new belts.. Any info very welcomed.
Hi, your video was great. I have a 2018 Volkswagen up! and it has a steering error, with which device can I go back to the factory settings, thanks for the answers🙏
Hi Mohammad I was using a diagnostics called launch x431 pro you can also use vcds to clear the fault code but as shown in the video you need to log into the module 44 with the access pin code 17580 before you can reset to basic setting which then you can clear the fault code hope this helps
Hi, Nathan, thank you for your help, I did the command of the car with a Diak device today, but the command code you said did not give the number 44 in the settings for my car, but the command does not work well, but the command light is on, how do you think I can get the code? ? thank you
Hi Nathan, you video makes me want to take my dashboard apart just because you make it seem so fun. Got a question for you as I need to remove my battery in order to replace a headlight bulb. Can I just remove the battery and will the car work fine once I reinstall it? I don't want to unhook the leads if it ends up with me having to reset a bunch of stuff I don't know anything about... thanks!
Isn’t it a failing by the manufactures that a deployed airbag renders a whole dashboard useless? Why don’t they make the airbag a removable piece, I’m sure the Fabia mk2 had this?
It sure is and a lot of the older cars for example Mk4 golf mk1 Leon the airbags places on top of the dash board which you would just replace the airbag would make life a lot easier if they still did that hope you have a good Christmas and new year
Hi harry I use a system called partslink24 which gives me all the part numbers for what ever is fitted and gives me the retail prices too hope you have a good Christmas and new year
@Nathan Hiley cheers for the reply mate and i wish i could take those well wishes but iv just got the covid 🤣. That been said thankyou again and wish you well into the newyear .

Hi there. I've just replaced the evaporator on a 2015 mk3 Fabia. I used your video to help me. Thankyou. I've got a code "B1000p drivers side airbag fire. " I'm gonna double check connection for steering wheel airbag. Live data shows info of it working. I disconnected battery before starting the job. Any idear?
Sorry for late reply I’m currently on holiday and glad the video has helped you. Have you tried clearing the code if you have maybe unplug the airbag and try again incase the plug is not clipped in correctly regards Nathan
hello my friend i have the same code on audi a6 2020 after the collision it is stored in the battery memory code is P160900 the battery is not charging please help me
Yeah that’s correct once you’ve changed the deployed units you can plug diagnostics and clear the fault codes which the clear the srs module if it’s was a Peugeot for example you would have to replace the srs module or send off for reset hope this helps
People will learn a lot from this video, concise and at a good pace, fair play to you both
Thank you Andrew hope you have a good Christmas and new year 👍

Nothing will happen maybe some fault codes will come up as things unplugged . But you’ll probably need to plug the speedo in to start it
Well done 👍

We’re the seat belt buckle stuck aswell ?

Does the crash data error need to be removed in the controller after replacing the fired airbags?
What diagnostic machine is that?
Hi mark it’s launch x431 pro hope you have a good Christmas and new year
So the Fabia doesn't have an srs module then?
Would the topdon artidiag800bt reset steering adaption data? Thanks love the videos BTW

Thank you Callum and to be honest I’m not sure as I’ve never used a topdon device
Great video, please do you know location of airbag ECU on fabia MK3? Thanks And sorry for my english.
As Skoda is part of the Vag group the airbag ecu will clear by diagnostics
Hi mate , thank yoy for video helped me a lot, could you please tell me where is airbag ecu location please?
Hi you don’t need to replace the air bag ecu it will just clear with diagnostics
@NathanHiley thank you will try and see . How was your code reader called please

Hi,
I'm about to do a dash change on one of these, where is the srs ecu located?? I noticed you didn't change it
Great videos get them going
Hi Graeme as Skoda is part of the vag group the srs module will reset with diagnostics
Ahh ok, so I don't need to replace, just reset after I've replaced the dash and airbags and front belts??
Yeah that’s correct once you’ve changed the deployed units you can plug diagnostics and clear the fault codes which the clear the srs module if it’s was a Peugeot for example you would have to replace the srs module or send off for reset hope this helps
Yes thanks very much
Looking forward to the rest of the skoda vids
@@NathanHiley I have a DS3 which needs a module reset, which companies would you recommend sending it to?
How much would it cost to get this done?
Hi Neil all depends how much you can get the parts for , airbag kit with seat belts for these are around 500-700. And it’s a good days work
