Nothing more satisfying than color sanding. Looking great and I love that cream color.

Thanks Tony. The cream is very nice. Especially with the two tone color combo. Hope you're doing well and the SL is coming along nicely. Cheers John.

Very in depth detail John much appreciated, I used Devilbiss guns back in the 70's been around for a long time even then always found them to be user friendly with good results.
There is something about the graceful elegant curves on the bonnets and front wings of 60's Merc's, just so satisfying polishing, and admiring such exquisite engineering masterpiece's. 👍
    Well done, Cheers from DownUnder.

Thank you Glenn. I agree the curves of the earlier Mercedes are beautiful. I'll shoot a video with it all back together very soon. I'm pretty happy how it came out. Now the rest of the car is crying out for some love:) Cheers from Northern California. John.

@@mercedesmaintenance.6339 That's the problem, you replace a faucet, then the kitchen sink looks dated so you replace that, then the counters look tired, then it's the cabinets and so it goes...

finishing is a urgent job, i will recomend you, to cut those spots first with a razorblade or a cutting tool for paint finishing. than you avoid sanding a ring arround the spot.

I have used the razor blade or micro plane in the past, but thought these were fine to cut this way. I do appreciate the comment. all the best Cheers John.
