Ah, the 80s… back when a band had a full time saxophonist on the payroll
He only worked 3 days a week actually.
No manufactured rubbish in 1984. Spandau Ballet was the closest you got to a ‘boy band’ and their music was great. Unlike the 90s and beyond.
Exactly, they played there own instruments, wrote the songs and had class, glad I was a teenager to witness those times. Cheers

Oh I’ve just flown back in time - Sydney Entertainment Center March 1985. Spandau Ballet concert. 17 year old me in the front row. Steve Norman plays the sax solo to this song then reaches out to us in the audience. I touch his hand. I vow I will never wash that hand again…

Just turned 18 in 1984...started my first job on the nightshift at my local ASDA, when this was in the charts.....used to sing and hum this to myself...when cycling the 3 miles there and back.....strangely.... it got me over my nerves...of starting work.... oh those memories.....autumn 1984......MAGICAL....!
