First month on the treatment might seem like it’s not working and making the hair loss worse but it’s actually a good sign because it means the treatment is working. Hair loss is slow process you’ll lose your hair overtime slowly and you only notice it once it gets to a point of looking bad enough. I know this because when I started losing my hair I started looking back on older pictures of myself and I noticed it started 2 years ago. When I started the treatment with in 4 weeks I notice hair loss was happening quicker it kinda sucked but after 8 weeks I noticed my hair growing back after 12 weeks the hair got thicker after 16 weeks the hair practically almost filled in after 20 weeks 5 months the hair practically fixed its self. Now 24 weeks half a year I’d say my hair is at 70% not perfect but much better there’s still some thin areas but a much bigger improvement. I have been using minoxidil 5% and Finasteride 5mg and I take 0.25mg of that. The beginning stages sucked but my doctor said to keep going he gave me the encouragement to keep at it.

@@jonnyxpnotic7055 you are not supposed to use it on healthy hair why are you using it on healthy hair. The treatment is only used on balding and thinning hair how it works is it stimulates hair to grow by shedding the old hairs. If your hair is growing and is healthy don’t use it because it will shed all your hairs. Minoxidil speeds up the growing process the new hairs will push out the old hairs so some shedding is normal but there’s no need to use it on healthy hair. Stop using the treatment if you don’t need it. You might have screwed up your hair it seems like the treatment has made your hair all shed at once now.

@@laxman3383 For me minoxidil actually helped a lot, I started to see more hair after 5 months. Also didn't notice extensive hair fall through the first few month. Maybe it's really individual thing...
Hairfall is normal while using mixoidil and do not panic cuz it is uprooting old weak hair and replacing with new hair and moreover hair growth has three major cycle, Anagen, catagen and telogen phase which takes quiet a period of time for the cycle to complete so hear is a key to solution which is patients and Consistency.

My mother is 50 and she have a bad history of hairfall. She loses so many hair strands daily from past 10-15 years, she tried few good doctors too but didn’t find any relief.
Few days back she again visited a doctor and the doctor advised to use Minoxidil lotion USP2% with some vitamins and shampoo.
But the day she used the lotion her hair is falling more drastically and it’s much more than before. She is getting ill by seeing the level of hairfall. She stopped after using it twice and not eating any meds or shampoo.
Can someone help me tell till when the drastic hairfall will come to relief? Or what should she do to get some less hairfall?

Sir I have a question. I have been using minoxidil for last 6 months. Before using minoxidil I shaved my head. So as you said in this video , the weak hair should fall in about 1 month of using minoxidil. Whereas my hair didn’t shed at all that time .But my hair grew thicker and the amount of hair relatively unchanged. But now , after 6 months , last few days I am shedding lots of hair like whenever I try to brush my hair about 20-30 hair is falling. Is that shedding causing for minoxidil? i want to re-frame my question,i started using minoxidil for hair loss in 2019 and the hair falling is slowing at that time after some time i found out that i have epilepsy and the doctor is giving me continues dose of levetiracetam which is also a medicine for my brain. minoxidil is used for treatment of high blood pressure and pattern hair loss and levetiracetam is used for decreasing the high blood pressue of brain and to treat epileptic seizure so my question is that can i use both medicine at the same time to treat both condition or i have to choose one from it to treat one condition.
