Good morning Erik nice video enjoyed your explanation of this rolling stock nice 👍 enjoyed your video as always have a great week see you for the next video cheers al 🚂🤗👍👍🚃
It was a fun project. This Lima imitates a Roco BR216 which Roco gave a livery to make it a lookalike of the M62 of the Kaliningrad railways. Of course, the M62 and the BR216 are different locomotives, and Roco usually makes more truthful models, so that Roco lookalike M62 is so hard to find that I am OK with this super cheap alternative 😀 Thanks for watching!
Hi Erik, I have always liked your Lima BR216 mainly because its a good runner and you changed the livery to what you wanted. Its not always possible to buy Locos in liveries that you want so repainting is ok. Two nice passenger Coaches especially the livery on the last one in blue and white. Cheers, Paul.👍👍🙏
Hi Paul, this Lima loco was super cheap too. I remember it costed me only 10 euros, and I picked it up in the neighborhood here, so no postage. It was dead as a dodo, but after a very good clean it is running fine. It was laying some time in my donor box, and then I added LED-lamps and repainted it. The Roco would-be Russian locomotive was a one off, Roco didn't produce it for a long time (probably because they usually only do more realistic models, this BR216 never ran in Russian livery). So that Roco is quite difficult to find and usually expensive. This Lima is a good alternative. Thanks for watching! Cheers! Erik
