While there is a plethora of things to do in Glacier National park and tons to see, sometimes you need a down day, or just want to check out some of the other areas surrounding Glacier. In the areas and towns around Glacier, there is tons of natural beauty, shops to explore, and delicious food to try. I used to drive here almost everyday for JB Hunt to make deliveries. Now I miss it and and now I’m planning a trip there with my family. Great video! Very pretty pictures and very informative.

Kerr Dam at Polson, which is at the southern end of Flathead Lake
It’s awesome in every place there,In Whitefish on the mountain you can zip line or go on the downhill slide. In the winter skiing and snowboarding. The air is cleaner everything seems better!! Lol in Kalispel if you return something to one of the big stores on I-93 , the people there are incredibly nice. Everyone just seems happy in general, true !
The whole area is an amazing place! I want to come back in Winter to snowboard whitefish so bad!
Columbia Falls has Big Sky Waterslide park. The kind of waterslides built in the 80's.

@@zaureshdoucette6364 it’s definitely worth the drive! What part of Canada? Whitefish beach around whitefish lake would be my first pick. Very family friendly and tons of people, it had a pretty big beach area. Plus it sits right at the bottom of whitefish resort so you’re right at the bottom of the mountains, it was beautiful. It’s maybe 20 min or so from Kalispell.

@@BoardsBikesAndHikes Winter sports are definitely a huge attraction here, but if you love hiking and pretty views consider visiting Moraine Lake and Banff in the early fall to see the insane turquoise waters contrasting with bright yellow larches - it's breathtaking!

Is Kalispell Montana a good place to retire too?
After spending some time there I think it would be the perfect spot. That’s actually where my wife and I hope to eventually move out to. Favorite town or place we have ever been
