Have them return all the money then, all the favors and all the benefits. There are plenty of young stars who are doing fine. Liam made bad choices. No one forced him to be an abuser and an addict
If you see people convulsing, its time to call an ambulance. Liams last hours must have been awful. I dont care that he did it to himself like people are saying, I care that he suffered, was alone in a foreign country and in a drug induced psychosis with convulsions and people watched and did nothing. By the time they called for medical help, it was too late. Absolutely tragic. I dont know him but I feel his loss. It could happen to anyones brother. Love people the way you love your own family. Im so sorry to Liam. I wish i could have been there to help him.

"What does it profit a man to gain the whole world but to lose his soul?" I wouldn't want as much as he had. That's the trick the industry plays. Happiness comes from within not from what's given to you.
He had issues he couldn’t handle himself. People think because you’re rich and you have lots of adoring fans and money to fix everything you’ll be ok. He used drugs and alcohol to alleviate the pain that overwhelmed him, and because he didn’t continually and verbally ask for help, nobody came to help him. Some of the signs were there though.
He's been on and off hard drugs for years this is the culmination of that and all the other personal issues being dropped by his label sued by his ex etc

The industry chews these kids up and spits them out all the time. It’s just heartbreaking.. in one hand if he was never on X Factor his talent would have never been heard but if he wasn’t he’d probably be just a young man in his hometown..
It’s a difficult one.. because we can’t just pretend there’s an epidemic amongst stars. It’s not, it’s happening amongst your average Joe. Especially the addition side of things. And once you’re addicted it’s an easy spiral.

@@scarletyoung6053 No. Depression mainly affects men in their 40's. Even though men mature faster these days, 30 is young and at this age men are still searching and building themselves. Ban anyone under 18 being in the Industry. And let’s stop putting people on a pedestal. It must be a mind …. to have millions of people know your name and feel they have a connection to you, when the reality is, they don’t even know you. Fame is twisted. Support people for their endeavours and creative output. But remember these are people we don’t know. Whether it’s praise you put upon them or otherwise. None of it is good. In the interim it may be an ego boost, but eventually if people suffer, it’ll only make them reach for other things to fill voids. This happened 7 days ago and im still breaking down crying about it. Im 27. I loved 1D on the x factor then when they came out with theirbfirst album i had kinda grew out of it and saw it as 'lame' mainly cause of the fans. BUT then at 16 i watched the movie and i fell in love with these boys. Men now... Like i said. Im 27 now. My son is 9. It feels like yesterday he was 7. Which is what age Liams son is now. I cant imagine telling my son his dads gone...my sons lost an uncle and two great grandparents. In his short 9 years but i cannot imagine that pain of having to tell him that. Not just that though, he was a brother, he was a son, he was a friend... I didnt know him i never met him yet i am broken over this i just was so shocked. Its not like famous people that i live have never died before. Matthew Perry was hard. I was tearing up constantly, any froends shorts on youtube. I only just rewatched it this year in like june because i couldn't bring myself too. But i also couldn't let myself get so upset over it were as im actually taking the time to watch things and cry. But youd think id have it outbmy system by now... I think i need to avoid everything to do with it until i get some distance behind his death because this isnt healthy. Ive cried over liam more than my grampa in law which breaks my heart but i had been greifing him for a while as he had cancer and wasnt planning on doing anything from the minute he found out
Did the industry let Liam down ? What happened to Michael Jackson when he was singing at the age of 5 ? What happened to Whitney Houston ? Phyllis Hyman and how many child actors who died ? Fame and money are diifficult for some adults to handle, let alone a young man.😮
You are a product, to make money out of. But yet people are desperate chasing fame and fortune, look at the reality shows, it's tragic what people will do. ABSOLUTELY TOXIC.
Who the tf are you ? Don’t blame the industry , you are responsible for your own actions . No accountability is the real issue . These women point the finger at everyone but themselves
Yes, the industry let him down! There's more to music than the money these music companies need, just look at the fans holding the vigils, that is emotion, empathy, humanity. Liam Paynes success is right there, within his fans. Liam you were too young, the situation you were in was not your fault. Rest in peace 🙏.
Young people know the trappings of fame yet the majority would choose fame and fortune every time despite the downside. We live in an age where people want to be famous more than anything. You cant blame the industry, everyone has a choice and they will choose the money every single time.
@Alex-o1q9d You think kids can make those kinds of choices? They want attention and attention feels like love to kids and even adults. Heck their parents seem clueless, and I cringe at the parents who put their pre-teen or teen children on shows for attention and money.
You can totally blame the industry when they give kids adrenalin shots to get on stage or work them seven days a week for 20 hours a day or won't allow them to have operations because it gets in the way of the tour schedule. All these things happened to 1D and they should be illegal.
@@carolefletcheradrenaline shots.? Working 20 hours a day.? What are you about . They were very well paid performers who were living their dream. It's obviously very sad but you can't blame the Industry
@@Whatagoal500 The adrenaline shots are attested to by Rebecca Ferguson, a fellow X-Factor contestant who is fighting for change in the industry. (Note also that Harry Styles mimes the action of being injected during the line 'give me that adrenaline' during his song 'Medicine'.) If you watch the documentary This Is Us, you can quite easily work out the schedule of their days. At one point, Harry is on a treadmill and he asks the time - it's 20 past midnight. He says 'another 40 minutes here, back to the hotel for a bit of sleep, see you here at 5.00?'. This was their standard work day. (BTW: Miley Cyrus recently read out her daysheet and it began at 5.00am every day when she was a young teenager.) Zayn said there were no times for meals - he would not eat for days at a time. They were recording one album while touring another, often woken from sleep to go into a hotel room, mattresses pushed against the walls to make a makeshift recording studio, and record their lines and licks for various songs. Every one of them mentioned the lack of sleep and the sleep disturbance.
@@Whatagoal500They we’re performing monkeys for the greedy record label execs. It doesn’t matter how much you’re paid when you have two diagnosed mental health conditions and you become a star that quickly it takes a toll. Stop being inhumane, it’s neither cool nor is it being a realist. It’s rather a stunted view.
I have a take on this from another angle. Of course, LP is not the first to die as there many examples we've experienced over the years; George Michael, Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, INXS Michael Hutchence, Michael Jackson, Keith Flint....There's a common denominator. On the flipside, arguebly in my lifetime one of the best music producers of Rave, Liam Howlett, we have the Gallagher Brothers, Richard Ashcroft, Clff Richard, Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Madonna, who have been around. So what's the reason we have others alive whilst some have fallen to the sword?
Because all humans have different personalities, it doesn’t denote weakness or strength. Some introvert, some extroverts etc etc with all the intricate nuances. All artists especially those that become stars that young should be provided with the mental health care that prevents them from falling into addiction. In Liam’s case he had other issues that plagued him and two mental health conditions diagnosed after 1D went on hiatus, on top of the addiction he developed as a teen in the band. Some of these deaths would have been prevented if the proper mental health and psychological support was provided.
They may be exploited but if you cant deal with it get out if the industry . I think they are addicted to the fame as much as some of them are to drink and drugs . Seem to be pretty vulnerable in the first place ,its a sad situation and I feel so much for Liams family and especially his son who has to deal with all the media attention . Leave it alone for goodness sake , it's all too much , and selfish . Mental health has to be dealt with sensitively
I find it sad that he never fully continued to carry on his singing career when he loved to do much and was the main singer of the band ,his record label dropped him so where were all these adoring fans when he released a record to keep his career alive
Where are the parents of these “young stars”. Why allow your child at 16 to be swooped away and used as a cash cow. Plus these fans who are crying are the same fans that hound and harass these stars and invade their privacy and make their lives miserable because they become obsessed.
It was quite hard for his parents to see him and they did also have jobs. He only spent five days at home in the first three years of the band - the boys were kept very busy, 20-hour days, constant touring, gigs, promo etc.
Such a tragedy. Isolation in coping?! Exploitation, scrutiny, rollercoaster of fame and inadequate, positive and safe management in the Entertainment Industry, so needed, must be worked out by the greater powers. Sports also, where the young have great talents but also exploited without adequate, positive and safe support. Too many young people suffer at the hands of others who bring them harm as they are exploited exposed to access from the public. God bless and many prayers.
Facts. I love your comment. It frustrates me that young people who were good to us are the ones to go especially Chadwick Boseman, Matthew Perry and Shannen Doherty. They need to hire some safeguards to help navigate young stars in general.
In every walk of life, including but not exclusively show business, there are people who are depressed, who abuse drugs, who suffer with bi polar disorder.
I couldn't agree more with myleene the entertainment industry is just toxic and young people have to deal with so much in it especially when your so young its heartbreaking how it ended for Liam he was such a talented young man my toughts and prayers are with all his family friends bandmates and his young son bear
It's one thing is that the man pass away and thats a tragedy, especially since he was young and for his family. But here is not just a problem of the industry, but also himself... The things that has been he did show it's not just because of his problems dealing with fame, money, substance abuse or depression, but some more deap hurtfull behavior he had against someone else He had four bandmates who you don't read múltiple acussations about them like the ones said about him, from an ex partner and fans There is also been many celebrities dealing with similar issues, and the same thing, there is not even half the bad things said about them, like they have said for years about Liam Payne So, while there is a problem with the industry, that doesnt mean he was just another víctims, it can be true he was an example of how bad things may go, but he also wasnt an angel
I actually believe the industry let's most down - especially these beautiful young and extremely gifted kids. Because that's what they are when the industry gets their hands on them.
They see kids and teens full of energy and just pump whatever ounce of talent out of them. Not taking a second to remember these are people who need a break. We saw it in their documentary, mid tour - after performing concerts they would have the boys wake up in the middle of the night to record new music. People wanted to make money off these people and don’t care once they are burnt out and struggling to grasp reality.
Too much fame, too much fortune, much too soon. The familiar cliche describing Lorenzen Wright, perfectly fits Liam's untimely passing. Rest in peace Liam, gone too soon but never forgotten.
Example …. Osmonds, Jackson 5, Beach Boys, Beatles David Cassidy ext ext ext all where teenagers under 15 when famous. Some had trouble but did not fallen over a balcony.

Everyone is guilty. These stars are surrounded by “yes” people who are only interested in what they can get out of that person’s fame. The more you tell someone they can do what they want, the harder the fall. And as a society that values fame and money, we too are guilty of putting these young stars under such intense scrutiny. What a tragic loss. 😢
Humans let him down humans can be so hateful and horrible. People need to realise words hurt! If you haven’t got anything nice to say then don’t say nothing.
There are thousands of "regular" people who go through the same type of mental/ pressure issues from their jobs, but no one cares about them or cares who they are. Fame does not give you extra sympathy.
The average person’s struggles and darkest moments are usually not put online for all to see and laugh at. Celebrities have that added stress of not being able to be human like the general population is. All struggles, flaws, low moments are just money makers. There are people who make a career out of airing and displaying famous people’s lowest of lows. You can’t even go into a rehab or hospital without people being like “oh you’re so and so!!! can i get a picture”, there’s no escape. We need to start appreciating their art & their work, but leaving them alone when they’re just trying to be a person. Living such a life is misery, even if you have money. and we’ve seen it play out. There are downsides being famous and not being famous, but in terms of being a human f** being in it’s rawest forms, i’d say being normal is better.

Uhm I don't think I would let the entertainment industry take over my son's life when he was a 14 year old. No appearing on talent shows. If you are going to allow your kid to do this you have to be an advocate and be present and know what is going on at all times. He was only a child. Where are the parents in this? Why is it everyone elses fault when these so called stars take drugs and drink to much they choose to do it then everyone else gets blame if you dont want fame and fortune dont enter competitions thst offer these rewards you go in with your eyes open so take responsibility for your actions and lets move on
How many of these child stars were preyed on sexually? The music industry needs to have its Me Too moment, too many powerful people are protected by injunctions and the media. Did that happen to the 1D boys, if rumours are true then they were around at least 2 predators?

I know that with today's social media, regular media, and unintelligent fandom, this unfortunate need to scrutinize a dead celebrities' life is "normal" but c'mon. He has passed away, let's celebrate his great moments, and let's move on. If we want to focus on fault, PARENTS are to blame. If you don't want your kids to enter such a world, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT allow them to get into that world - you have legal authority over your kids. So this one is easy - look at the parent(s).
There is an unsettling possibility of foul play. A witness, interviewed by ITV, revealed that Liam had passed out in the lobby and remained unconscious when the hotel staff escorted him back to his room, about 5 minutes before his tragic fall. The same witness, residing exactly two floors below, observed the fall and heard the fatal impact, yet heard no sounds from Liam before or after the fall. A friend of the same witness, staying across from Liam's room, believed he had a visitor earlier that morning. Following this mysterious visit, guests reported hearing strange, almost "primal" noises from Liam’s room throughout the day. The local district attorney’s office, speaking to CNN, suggested that based on the injuries and the position of Liam's body, he may have been in a semi-conscious or unconscious state during the fall, hinting at a potential accident. However, the circumstances paint a far more perplexing picture. It is highly unlikely that, while semi-conscious, Liam could have broken the television, opened the door, made his way to the balcony, and jumped. Equally curious is the behavior of the hotel manager. Despite expressing concern over Liam's "erratic behavior" and the dangers posed by the balcony, the staff returned him to his room while he was still unconscious rather than seeking medical attention at the hospital. Then, they only called for an ambulance minutes after his fall. It's almost like they were waiting for the fall. Was this sequence of events part of a larger, more sinister plan? The carefully orchestrated emergency calls, the oddities surrounding Liam's fall, all of it beckons a deeper investigation into what truly transpired. Liam was a truly remarkable young man, embodying both kindness and inspiration. His warmth touched the lives of many. May his soul find peace in eternity. My heartfelt sympathies are with his parents, sisters, and son; may they find the strength to endure this immeasurable loss. It is my sincere hope that the nation will honor Liam as he so richly deserves. A state funeral would be a fitting farewell for such a promising figure, one who played a significant role in the "New British Global Invasion." His loss will be felt not only in the UK and Argentina, but also across the world, where his impact was undeniable. Liam will be greatly missed.🌹🕊

For one no one under the age of 18 should even be allowed on the show. Second I believe everyone auditioning should be mentally examined. Won’t happen because this generates more drama, and money.
I think Mylene is entirely right. It is almost neglectful and abuse how these young people are exploited.
Have them return all the money then, all the favors and all the benefits. There are plenty of young stars who are doing fine. Liam made bad choices. No one forced him to be an abuser and an addict
Mylene’s group was put together by a show and only had one hit so I wouldn’t say she’s an expert or able to compare her group to 1D…

No one should be left alone when struggling with severe depression 😢

It's one thing is that the man pass away and thats a tragedy, especially since he was young and for his family. But here is not just a problem of the industry, but also himself... Exceptional Myleene well said.
Fame can be lovely but also a killer😮
They should never have been treated as cash cows at such a young age by the music industry. Absolutely tragic.

There are thousands of "regular" people who go through the same type of mental/ pressure issues from their jobs, but no one cares about them or cares who they are. Fame does not give you extra sympathy.
Clearly it does since this has been non stop in the media.

I think it's more to do with social media now, it's alot harder now as you can never shut off from the scrutiny strangers have about you and the amount of nasty comments there is, it's unreal and disgusting. I am not saying Mylene didn't have it hard but now social media is around and has been around, there's been alot of suicides because of it, it's the worst place for bullying.
There needs to be better safe guarding for any show with young individuals especially in place, they failed him X factor and everyone involved after that. Do better, be better.. too much too soon for the young lad, fame and fortune with drugs and drink access readily available.. rest easy Liam
He got the same fame his band mates did. The difference is he has the disease of addiction
@elmwoodmotionpictures1765 and they got or are pretty messed up too. What they went through...that fame machine is not normal to have to cope with.
THANK YOU.
This. He made his bed
I think the hotel staff is negligent!! I think the fact they sent him to his room is horrific !!
They did the best they could at the time. After his violent outburst in the lobby, they carried him back to his room and trusted he would just sleep it off. Unless they had a way to bar the balcony door, they couldn't do anything else legally. This was a hotel, not a hospital nor Recovery Ward. They were neither trained nor authorized to do a sweep of his room and remove drugs or alcohol.
@@MrReded69 exactly! That's a scary situation to be around for them too. Liam sounded out of control and would rightfully shake up everyone in his path when in that state.
What did u expect them to do? Cuddle him, nurture him, feed him until he sleeps? He was an adult ffs. They also have a business to run. Having a disturbed man in the lobby is not safe
Blame others for something that they didn’t do.
You better learn to take your own responsibility for your actions.
Don’t blame others!
He was an ADULT, not a kid anymore!
Please let her finish a sentence please????
Parents are to be held responsible. And if parents' rights are taken away, then parents need to fight tooth and nail to protect their children. It's very sad this young man dying the way he did.
Did they protect him?
Protect how? They were on road on their own most of the time
@@veruskatorres9276 yeah that’s true
If he was being irrational in the hotel foyer, why did they push him into his room to be out of sight ?
@elizaabehtsaville5627 do you know how unsettling scary, and frightening it is to be around someone out of control? I've wondered how the hotel staff has also affected. Unless you are in that situation it's easy to look from the outside. I mean he was being violent by breaking things. So much pain....
For the safety of others in the hotel. He is not an effing centre of the world
Sorry but what a load of
Claptrap
He had more of “ everything “
than any man of his age
These people are “ pampered”
Hence why they become entitled
He should have used his “ Fame”
to help others who have NOTHING
Well said!
Having everything doesn't make you happy.
Music industry takes a toll on your mental health, the industry has let Liam down.
It's so sad when famous people die ,they are the most important.
Everyone is important
@@LucyLlewellyn-z9m ye but there is levels . Obviously celebrity's are alot more important.
So all are mentioned....Louis, Harry Niall.....oh don't bother to mention Zayn. Yes...watch many news outlets and ofcurse Zayn is not mentioned.!!
he is not white that's why. He has always had alot of overt and covert racism because he is asian partly.
Too young
The level of narcissism is off the scale here. "Look at me & how hard my privileged life is !".
Everybody on this panel is *_VERY_* wealthy, I'm worried about the poor, now *_THAT_* is hard.
If these narcissists don't like it then *_RETIRE_* , this whining from the privileged wealthy is nauseous...
💯
Human beings have STRUGGLES in all forms. There are upsides to be famous and profound down sides. Being famous means that you are under constant surveillance, restriction, scrutiny, and pressure. Liam’s story is tragic, and we’ve seen it already. Normal people also have their struggles themselves, those are also important. But the particular conversation surrounding the dehumanization of famous people needs to happen. And there can be a discussion about poverty, food scarcity, and class struggle, as human beings we can make room for both.
@@alhsa _"There are upsides to be famous and profound down sides."_
No, there are a few downsides but there are *PROFOUND* upsides, millions of dollars & constant attention (which is what famous people almost always crave). There troubles are *NOTHING* compared to people struggling to pay their bills - they can walk away living a life of luxury any time they want. Stop pandering to these narcissists...
@@thelimey351 Listen,
There is no narcissism here. This is a troubled man who FELL off of a 3 story building to his death while on multiple substances. He was CLEARLY suffering. There are downsides to be famous, and choosing to ignore them because they’re not experienced by the general public is what propagates these types of situations. PERIOD. You can have room in your heart for empathy for all people going through it. JUST BECAUSE THE CAGE IS GOLD DOESN’T MAKE THE CAGE ANY MORE PLEASURABLE TO BE IN.
Yes, it's great to support your children (and yourselves) to get that fame that many so oddly desire, but you must also be FULLY RESPONSIBLE for the negative consequences. If you don't want your kids to enter such a world, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT allow them to get into that world - you have legal authority over your kids. So this one is easy - look at the parent(s).
I believe it was a lack of mentorship from Simon Cowell.
Liam will be greatly missed.🌹🕊
no he had a toxic ex who exploited him in the most nasty ways - for fame and clout in his darkest hour - stop with the 'poor childhood star bs
He has been in and out of rehab and talks about his struggles with growing up in a boy band so it is about being a childhood star. If he never went on xfactor and lead a normal life he might not have gone down the same drug filled path. He was dropped by his label 2 days before he passed so I'm sure that affected him too, when you've been on a high most your career and then suddenly your label doesn't even want you it must have been hard to deal with.
@@JuliaJuliaJuliaHey men in his position can weather things like what you described when they have their name and reputation in tact, of course he has struggles with substances but having his name dragged through the mud when he know that is all he got to succeed (public opinon/popularity)- obvious that is why he was smashing up his computer and TV before jumping - blaming being too young for fame is a total NPC regurtiation to put a bandaid on for the public. HIs ex was on a media war path. He told her he was struggling in the darkest ways cause of it but she doubled down in respnse.
@playaknights you can't keep piling on traumas and toxic lifestyle non-stop whether in the fame entertainment industry or not. It eventually takes its toll. It DID start with in his teens and continued to pile up.
He ab/sed his ex.. who are u to blame the victim of ab/se just bcoz this cxward couldn't handle the backslash..His bad karma caused this.. he got exactly what he deserved..Any man that utters the words 'i would never let a man in a skirt near my son' like he did when referring to Harry, not only offends him, but any vunerable lgbt+ person n who knows to took their own life after he said it, it is disgusting. Let alone how he treated his gfs .. The world will be a much better place without him, his son will be better off without him, he was not a good person, good riddens , no one in his actual life will miss him
He was the toxic one. He made his bed
I know Simon or X factor haven’t purposely done this however I seriously think shows like X factor need to start taking some responsibility. For one no one under the age of 18 should even be allowed on the show. Second I believe everyone auditioning should be mentally examined. Won’t happen because this generates more drama, and money.
Have a word with Cheryl and her grooming when he was 14, would have been viewed completely differently if the roles were reversed.
Look Philip Schofield
@@jillmo3286 Ok, but nothing really was done, most of the time it was all about how brave Schofield was, even now he'll end up back on the tv.
And Caroline flack who went out with Harry when he was 17 and she was 31 but knew him before
He pursued her
