Chaney is one of my favorite female metal vocalists, she is so intense when delivering her vocals and I'm always impressed with her tone and distortion. Having her on the channel was a good idea, Mark! Thank you both for this one.
Just got back from seeing these guys with Signs of the Swarm, Archspire, and Whitechapel. KILLER SHOW, had never heard of Entheos until tonight and I bought their merch after the show. Gave her a fist bump, such a good show, immediately added to my spotify!
I loved this! The stories kept coming and none of them were boring. I haven't watched one of your videos for about a year (no offense, algorithms and attention spans and such) and your production quality and content quality have skyrocketed! The questions you asked were perfect as well, she reacted to each one like it was something she's always wanted to talk about and had great insight on the subject. Happy camper, thanks for the video.
What a great conversation. Love Entheos, and Chaney is awesome. Thanks for being a positive force in the music world. Also I know this is about vocals, but Navene is an incredible musician.
Album of the year for me. An absolute masterpiece with no weak spots at all. Incredible performances and creativity. I also absolutely love love how they bring back certain hooks throughout the whole album, I really wish more bands would do this. Had a great chat with Chaney in Glasgow about Paul Ramano's artwork. She came across as a super cool and friendly person and they absolutely destroyed when they played.
Hey Mark, I cant remember, did you ever do a video on the band Beyond Deviation? They have sick song with the old vocalist returning called 10,000. Dude has some insane whistle screams that Id love for you to see and analyze. Thanks for the great content as always!
Interesting how many new pointers you can get from just listening to a conversation between two pros. I plan on incorporating harsh vocals into a future project aimed at lightning a fire under the ass of the rock scene in my country (Nigeria), and resources like this channel are a big part of my learning process. There is always more to learn.
Here's me torn. On the one hand, I avoid "reacts" videos like the *&^& plague. On the other, you actually have Chaney on. You win. I'll watch this one, since I less than three her.
Would you believe I only found Entheos through them playing Hark the Bells Christmas song? What a present to receive! Such a good voice and awesome riffs!
Hey Mark! Love your stuff! Would love to see your take on a funny little experience called broken by the scream! 4 great female vocalists combined into one hell of a band! 😍
Really cool we get new entheos stuff. I also really liked Chaney helping out on the new Fallujah record, I mistook her for Travis Ryan for a second haha!
I'm still wondering (and fantasizing) about what Veil of Maya would have sounded like had Chaney been invited to join and she did. That VoM vocal cover will live in my memory forever.
By chance, I stumbled onto a "short" featuring this vocalist performing (according to the description, a new song) . I was so in awe of the female's voice, and I was intrigued about how it was possible (I am not a musician or vocalist, and in fact, what some would call "tone deaf."). Nevertheless, I had to know more about this vocalist. I found this video, which, even though I still don't know how it was possible for all these fantastic sounds to come from this woman, I have a little more insight. So, thank you.
Hey Mark, Would you consider an episode with Dallas Tollar Wade (Narcotic Wasteland/ex Nile)? In my opinion, he is an underappreciated vocalist from a golden age of early tech death, and he fucking SHREDS while executing these super precise vocals. Now, on to get into Entheos!
Congrats on being a dad. You've got some pretty nasty chops, too, I can tell by those quick little blurts early in the pod 😂 I'll check out....Kardashev? In fact, I'm heading to the drum shop soon, so I'll throw it on the stereo then.
When will we get to see a co-reaction with Guillaume from Beyond Deviation here in your channel? They just released an EP couple of weeks ago. We want to know his techniques doing those insane vocals, especially his signature kettle-highs! And also, you need to analyze Hugo Ojeda's vocals. He's the vocalist of Esophagus. We need to know how he does those "Predator vocals"! NEED MORE SLAM IN THE CHANNEL! haha
when you both were talking about people not using click tracks, it reminded me that Car Bomb apparently doesn't use a click live, they're absolutely insane haha
I sure do! I would say about 60% of my students are starting from scratch. Teaching people with zero experience is a lot of fun because its a blank slate and there is TONS to work on and be excited about! With the right expectations, motivation, and guidance you can 100% do it. Its a long road, and it takes time, but you can absolutely learn to scream
I saw Entheos live on the last Archspire tour, and they were good, but I gotta say the vocals started getting weak by the end of the show. Sounded like she started losing her voice a bit

I got back into metal after a long haitus because I heard the 2017 record and it impressed me. Can't wait for upcoming and future stuff

Chuck Billies twin sister. Love it!
This was actually my favorite co reaction on the channel. She is fucking dope as a person and I understand the love for her
She is seriously goals. ❤
I saw this band open for Archspire and they killed it! And I got to meet Chaney who was a total sweetheart!
I've been wanting a video of Entheos forever!!!
Oh I love Chaney and Entheos,, such a great band and down to earth people
This is so dope--so cool you had Chaney on here! Love her staccato delivery of her highs
I love that Chaney came in with the scream raw and unscripted to give us an answer on what it feels like to make her vocals.
Great band, great vocalist, awesome video Mark
Let's GOOO Chaney is phenomenal
Wow!!! She's soooooo good!
How have I not heard of her before!?
She's fantastic.
Some parts of the song her vox sond like job for a cowboy. that kicks ass.

She is absolutely pleasent
I had to look her up. HOLY SHIT SHE SOUNDS AMAZING. I'm excited for this one if I don't forget like I do every time lol
What a great conversation. Love Entheos, and Chaney is awesome. Thanks for being a positive force in the music world. Also I know this is about vocals, but Navene is an incredible musician.
Everyone, please listen to Time Will Take Us All. An album that was truly crafted.

Cool band, great vocalist, cool music.
It was - as always - so much fun and entertainment listening to you!
Chaney is a gorgeous monster on the mic.
another awesome video, with a nod to the scientific meaning of absolute zero there in the credits too, cheeky devil
keep up the great work
love entheos! saw them along with beyond creation and gorod
Quacking sick!
Entheos looovveeeee!
First of all Chaney is a beast of of a vocalist. Secondly she is such a laid back and humble person. She has such a calm and rlexaed personality
love that Chaney said pop and not soda. Entheos rules.
Here's me torn. On the one hand, I avoid "reacts" videos like the *&^& plague. On the other, you actually have Chaney on. You win. I'll watch this one, since I less than three her.
Yes! Chaney is the best!
Would you believe I only found Entheos through them playing Hark the Bells Christmas song? What a present to receive! Such a good voice and awesome riffs!
Totally agree! Her voice is sustained power🤌🤘
This was cool.
I can not wait!! Heres my question, was this already recorded before the song released?
Hey Mark! Love your stuff! Would love to see your take on a funny little experience called broken by the scream! 4 great female vocalists combined into one hell of a band! 😍
First time listening to Entheos ... wow, impressive. Reminds me a bit of Monochromatic Black. Great display of skill.
Really cool we get new entheos stuff. I also really liked Chaney helping out on the new Fallujah record, I mistook her for Travis Ryan for a second haha!
Wow Sol Niger Within. Classic.
Not sponsored by Shure Microphones....yet...
I'm still wondering (and fantasizing) about what Veil of Maya would have sounded like had Chaney been invited to join and she did. That VoM vocal cover will live in my memory forever.
I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart! Film the reaction to the song of THE VOICE IN MY HEAD from Falling in reverse. Please
entheos is THE SHIT. permanent stank face whenever i hear their music

Great to see that Evan Brewer is still in the band! one of the best bassists in metal very recognizable
Definitely!

Great band
Do you handle students that start with zero experience? I’m curious if I’d be any good at it lmao.
I sure do! I would say about 60% of my students are starting from scratch. Mark! You need to review Oceans Ate Alaska’s song “Nova”!!
This is definitely some crazy shit lol 😂
It’s funny that you guys mention click tracks and in ears. Tallah doesn’t want to use either of them.
XD
KERMIT
True.
I saw Entheos live on the last Archspire tour, and they were good, but I gotta say the vocals started getting weak by the end of the show. Sounded like she started losing her voice a bit
