Welcome to Part 2 of this Break Par Series, this week featuring Dan and Chris Gill, the head pro at Newquay Golf Club. Newquay is a beautiful links course located on the north coast of Cornwall in the south west of the UK.
The goal is simple, try to break par, and help each other along the way. Newquay is a par 69 which arguably is more tough as there is less par 5's. Do you think either of them can do it?

How can you not love a vlog with Mr Gill in it? Tough day but some marvellous golf in the conditions. Anyone who has played links golf in the wind will know Dan's pain. Well done for battling through.
Loved Gilly's comment "you know what annoys me Morris Men"....if someone had said that to me after missing a great putt, then there would be ribbons, sticks, and funny hats stuck somewhere where the sun doesn't shine. Absolutely classic Gilly 😂
I played golf at a course Eat Coast UK. When that wind gets near 20 mph let alone more it becomes a beast of a course against , left to right , right to left. It is only 6300 yards or so. looking at what you are playing today makes me want to stay at home. Played is the wording as I cannot get round 18 any more, If I can the next few days I cannot walk without pain. DON'T GET OLD.
A links course in a stiff wind ... heaven and hell - just like golf itself!
Dan played so well, chis knows the course like an expert that gives the advantage.

Always great to have Gilly back on the channel, the conditions looked brutally tough. Not sure how I would go playing in that wind.
Great vlog and quite fun to watch from a warm chair next to the fire. UK golfers are something else. On a day like that in the US, we'd look out the window and say "Huh, too bad we can't play golf today."

Very much enjoy watching Mr Gills golf. Such a tidy player with no real weaknesses, much like Paul. See why he made the PGA team in his day. Great to see him navigate his way round in such tough conditions that severely test all parts of his game, real pleasure to watch

Thanks guys. An enjoyable watch. Pretty good effort too by both of you with Chris having the advantage being on his home course and getting close to the number. Always good to see him in the vlogs. Breaking par is hard enough to do at the best of times, let alone in those conditions. Newquay GC impresses.

Great vlog to watch I have to say gilly is very watchable,everything about gilly is so funny and also a great golfer.And I have to say dan you were smashing those drives and you were very unlucky at times.

Great tip from Chris at 10:30(ish). There's a logic to how the grass will affect ball flight out of the rough. I mean, of course there is, but it's wonderful to have a pro explain it in a manny easy to grasp. Great round of golf!

Fantastic play boys. Congrats Gilly shooting 1 over with such tough conditions. You boys were striping your drivers. Dan, that Titleist TR driver sounds amazing, just love it, and it's appears to be perfect for you. Going for my fitting in a few weeks. Will definitely be leaning towards the TR series driver. Dan's putting got a bit better in my eyes but the conditions in terms of the breeze were something else. Chris what a player and commentary master, although he does know Newquay golf course being the head pro. Really enjoyed the vlog, almost happy that I wasn't playing in that breeze. Great views though.

Quick question. Was Dan able to replace his ball in the same spot having been moved slightly by Chris’s?
Not quite as annoying as a sloppy bogey on a par 5 or Morris Dancing, but pro's using a tee peg instead of a ball marker is slightly jarring.
What happend to Wilbur?
He, like Lester are starting up there own channels
Dan if you are a professional golfer do you have to prove your handicap I would say your more like a single figure golfer your golf's been poor for a while
