- Yes! We made it to Castaway Cay!!! The last time we tried the wind wouldn’t let us dock… So let’s go enjoy Disney’s private island!! It is a beautiful day in the Bahamas and the water is chilly but ok once you get in. The island is great! We were worried with 4k people all at once but there are plenty of different areas. We all had a great time… especially the kids!!
Once back onboard, it was Pirate night!! Every Disney cruise in the Caribbean and Bahamas has a Pirates IN the Caribbean night including a special dinner menu, costumes, special shows… and FIREWORKS!!

I love how cruises can give you different experiences. That cruise looked Magical, which is one thing Disney is good at doing.
Love how you are prepared for everything. The costumes, the signature frames and the girls Stitch. Little touches like that make the trip more memorable.

We cruised to Alaska last year on the Wonder. My son was 15 and also bought a Stitch plushie. He wasn’t on our cruise but we’re looking forward to meeting him on the Fantasy this fall. I love how you let the girls have a lot of control over their trip and made it more kid centered. Your trip seemed relaxing and calm even though it was short with a lot of things to cram into each day.

We cruised on the Dream when it was in Port Canaveral a couple years ago. We loved it! Cast away Cay was our favorite! Fireworks at sea was amazing. We didn’t have pirates night because it was the Merry time cruise. Christmas decorations, music, and festivities. It was such a great cruise. Glad you were able to take your girls, such great memories! Thank you for sharing! ❤

Castaway is a beautiful island. I can't wait for Lighthouse next year. Maybe more of a waterpark style. We will see.. :) Glad you enjoyed yourself...

Alissa I got a beach 4 person tent from wayfair that weighs only 6 lbs and takes only 5 min to set up for when I can't find chairs with umbrellas.

Yes! We saw Beauty & the Beast! And a show made just for this ship which was amazing!!

I hear you when you say a 4 day cruise isn’t enough. Unless you have financial or time constraints which I fully understand, I’ll never recommend anyone take less than a 5 night cruise and preferably 7 nights or more. On shorter cruises you are barely getting oriented and getting your sea legs when BAM you are off the ship!! Hate it!! And I’ve done them. I just try to avoid them.
Were adults allowed on the water slide?
HINT: If you get two chocolate chip cookies, you can put the ice cream between them and make an ice cream sandwich.
