Castaway Cay Was EMPTY! Stingray Adventure, Pirate Night & Palo Dinner | Disney Magic Day 3

- Day 3 on our Disney Magic cruise brought us to Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas! We did Castaway Ray's Stingray Adventure for the first time, which includes both feeding and snorkeling with rays! We also spent time at both the family beaches as well as Serenity Bay. After a great day on Castaway Cay, we got back on the Magic and had dinner at Palo! We've had Palo brunch before, but never dinner, so this was a first time experience for us and we were very pleased. After dinner, we headed up to check out Mickey's Pirates In the Caribbean, which was a dance party show followed by fireworks at sea! Mickey even ZIPLINES across the entire ship! All in all, it was another great day on the Disney Magic!

You found another reason to love the classic ships. They are my favorite for many reasons, and fewer people at CC is one of them.

Loved seeing this. Glad you guys enjoyed the Stingray Adventure. Based on your lunch at Cookies BBQ it looks like i'll need to start skipping the hamburger buns and just go with the protein if I was to try and keep up with Matt at the gym. Dinner at Palo looked excellent! And when it comes to Pirate nights shows my personal favorite is aboard the Wish, but seeing Mickey go across the zip line on the Magic/Wonder is always fun.
We haven’t seen the Wish’s pirate show in person yet, but I like that it looks completely different than the other ships, so that’ll be cool to experience. We actually booked the stingray adventure after seeing your video on it!
Many Japanese eat miso soup everyday for breakfast. Its good for your gut, especially in the morning.

I believe that’s correct, or at least is coming. Even still, that’s a STEAL for all the food you get!
So glad you showed Palo. On the Panama Canal sailing we have embarkation night Palo dinner and then Day 14 Palo Brunch. So excited for a first cruise!!

I was at CC last Sunday on the Dream and we could not even do Pelican Plunge - it was packed!!! My first time there was on the Wish during Christmas time and we were able to do the plunge twice with minimal wait 🤷🏾♀️
It could definitely get busy when the larger ships come in!
It is true when you visit Castaway on on the classic ships vs. the newer ships the difference is noticeable.

We always book the stingray adventure when we go to CC! I don’t recall getting a jumbo shrimp with the calamari at Palo but I agree with the soufflé. The Osso bucco is also good there.
We’ll have to try that next time!
I like that you mention Tom Hanks. Not far down from serenity Bay he filmed part of the movie Splash. If you ever do the kayak and walking tour excursion, you get to go to that beach and they tell you about it. It’s a great excursion and I highly recommend it.

We are going in September and trying to decide when to do Palo. What restaurant was in your original dining rotation for Pirate Night?
I don’t remember, but the dining rotations are different by guest. So whatever restaurant we had on pirate night wouldn’t necessarily be the same one that you would be at. I would call Disney Cruise Line as it gets closer and the booking window opens and ask them what your rotation is
Do you know if the stingrays are in the wild or are they kept in an enclosure?
They’re kept within the parameters of the lagoon used for the stingray encounter. The only way to encounter them is through the Stingray Adventure excursion. Thanks for watching!
