@@intruder4876 Nice interpretation. My favorite interpretation of the boat part is that it's a moment of peace and clarity representing Simon making peace with his impending fate. The boat ride represents Simon accepting that he will end himself shortly. Very sad. Side note, this game still has such a hold on me, man... It's crazy how a mod made by a team of less than 5 people turned out to be such a beautiful and tragic story. One of the best horror games of all time without a doubt.
@@Ale-rj5xoi like to also think it can represent that despite simon saying "being lonely does things to you" it clearly shows that his most calm moments is when he's all alone, having nobody critice him or saying he should that or that.... is a moment where he can finally breath and start thinking what exactly he wants to do, what he believes is the best for him and so go on, he's fully reflecting on his existence and thinking what is the next step he should do.
I feel bad for Simon. Dude lost his legs because he wanted to help someone, and then dumped by his gf. Honestly if he broken down and never accept reality it's completely understandable.
Makes you think....what even is the reason why we even do all of this? Why all this hate and competition and thinking about making a "legacy" when all of us will be buried underground at some point? Was this perhaps just a big accident that somehow happen? From nothing to something...only to become nothing again... it's just confusing...really feels like existence was just one big accident that should never had happened.
