Hi Nicolas. I'm not sure to understand. This is a design decision: thinner as possible. The leather is already 1.6mm with a burnished edge, it's not really weak, but maybe it's not the word you were looking for? I don't know if you are a maker, but if you want to improve the strength on the middle fold, you can add small pieces of leather on the top and bottom top strengthen the edge. With a skived end, it would be perfect. I've did that on several wallet patterns and it does the job. Good crafting 👍😊
