ASMR Making-of a leather zipper purse with inner card slot. Leathercraft by Lord.
The zipper step was fun to make but I tried at least 3 different glues and I'm still not convinced.
What contact glue do you use?
I'm looking for a contact glue that can be found in medium quantity with something to apply like a small brush or knife.
Thanks for your help 👌
Ps. This small purse might end up being published as a pattern someday at shop.crofte.fr

You can saddle stitch on a round, diamond, flat or diagonal holes. The diagonal is called French and I think diamond is called Japanese because of their origins. Anyway, all in all, I appreciate your work and I appreciate you doing great work. If you publish an oral training video, please include the Google Translate multilingual option activated. If I can afford it, I will buy the punches you mentioned. I just started this job and The world becomes more beautiful as long as there are artists like you. @@1arpa yeah TH-cam comments are bugged sometimes. I think TH-cam allows you to activate auto translation of subtitles. Even when I don't speak, I use subtitles to pass information in French and English. Supposedly you could activate auto translations in your language. Let's give it a try 😊 thanks for the encouragement and have fun crafting!

    Use a sharp round knife, stropped with aggressive grit, and you will be done in half the time. Will be nice and smooth too.

      @LordLeatherCraft 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes you are absolutely right. My issue is that I messed up too many pieces with a knife. Either I'm bad at sharpening, or not good at skiving. I have a diagonal knife to skive edges and I managed to do good skiving with it, but for the inner part of the t-pocket only french skivers work for me. 😊

    Go vegan

    • @LordLeatherCraft
      @LordLeatherCraft 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Why would I? Vegan is PU, which means plastic, and we know what happens to plastic in nature, right? Also, my leather comes from the waste of agri-food industry. If you don't use it for leathercraft, it goes to waste and will be burnt. Personally I prefer creating goods with it that will last a lifetime, than using shitty vegan alternatives that will last 3 years max and end up abandoned in a landfill. I invite you to read more overall on the topic, and not only your biased version of propaganda 😊👌

      @@LordLeatherCraft because animals > plastic on sentient scale. There is nothing to argue here. Animals get skinned alive . Bad karma to wear . That’s my opinion. I didn’t ask for this advertising in my feed either . Cheers

      @@Ghostwriter33 I suggest you stop commenting then. Otherwise you'll get more 😊 I suggest you read about how leather is produced when done properly. There are certificates in our industry to tell people the animal is well treated until his death, and death is inevitable. The good thing is to know what to do with the dead animal: you burn it, or you recycle it to make something out of it. I prefer doing the second: less plastic used in your fake leather, which mean less damages done to the planet. Just read on this topic 👍

      @@Ghostwriter33 btw, why you want to kill animals with plastic abandoned in nature if you think animals has to be protected. Sometimes I wonder how people think... Really. At this stage it's really a strong lack of knowledge from you. You are right, nothing to argue, you don't have any arguments 😂

      Hello 👋 thanks for asking. It's in the title. Here I used 500, 900 and 1500. I have 750 and 2000 in my collection for Latigo leather which require more steps to get a clean result. I usually sand dry with a grit level, then apply a bit of water and Tokonole mix, then sand wet with the same level. Then go on the next grit level. Etc. 👌
