My vote for greatest football coach of all time. Also happened to be a great man.

    Greatest NFL coach ever.

I had the pleasure of working with Coach Walsh in developing a management training program that he developed in the interval between his leaving the 49ers and going back to Stanford for the second time. What a great man! Easily the highlight of my professional career. The one thing about him that really shone through was his wicked sense of humor. He was just so sharp and funny and perceptive in the way he read people and commented on their strengths and foibles. Such a precious experience for me. Oh, gosh! Was that really more than 30 plus years ago?

When they beat the Bengals in the Super Bowl it’s on tape the first thing he says to Sam Wyche is I love you.

Wow such a great coach. I STILL maintain today in 2023 (almost 2024) he was the greatest coach ever and his 1984 team was the best ever. Unless a team goes 20-0 I am always going to feel that way. And no, dont EVEN bring up the 1972 dolphins.

I’ll take Bill Belichick. Keep in mind it was Belichick’s New York Giants defenses that made Joe Montana look like a backup QB in quite a few playoff games. Bill Belichick is the greatest HC and when he comes back next year, watch out.

@@Spockulations Alot of people talk about those 2 giant wins over the 49ers in the playoffs in 86 and 87 (and rightfully so, I mean keeping them out of the endzone and winning by a collective 66-3 is no small feat). But dont forget walsh also beat Bellicheck in the 81 and 84 playoffs, and won the last 2 games against them, both in NY, in 1987 and 1988. Clearly Bellicheck has been to and won more super bowls, but Walsh only coached 10 years; had he stayed until 95 he'd have 2 more since clearly he built the 89 and 94 teams.

One of the best couch among Vince Lombardi, Paul Brown, Don Shulla, Chuck Noll, Tom Landry and Bill Parcells.

You’ve got Parcells and not Belichick? It was Belichick’s mastermind defenses that helped get Parcells two rings. Bill Belichick is the absolute greatest HC.

It was more enjoyable to watch the nfl in those days. Real champions who played their hearts out. So much of the spirit of the game is missing today. Too much focus on making a buck and being politically correct. It's not worth watching anymore.

@@abender06It’s a business now. It’s about DEI now. It’s all political now. They’ll get that turd race in Kansas City to 10 rings before it’s all said and done. Watch the playoffs and Super Bowl last year was all scripted.
