  • Hollywood Racks nailed it with this lightbar. It is built very well and can be easily seen on the brightest of days. My test was on a sunny day here in Florida. It doesn't get any brighter.
This safety light bar can be used on any rack but really installs nicely on the Destination E Rack, and other Hollywood Racks. For more information see: hollywoodracks...

A great safety feature to have on your bike rack.

It's kind of a no brainer, Pedro. Those bike really block my taillights, which aren't big to begin with.

Howdy Tom. It is nice and bright. Like that it's LED and an easy install. Not so sure about the fact that the turn signals don't blink when the brakes are applied. That could be a problem on your specific set-up as your vehicle's tail-lights are blocked by the e-bike's tires until you start to make your turn. This may even blip a police officer's radar and get you pulled over!

Hey CP. I could be riding the brake pedal more than most as well! Hope you're doing well.

That turn signal canceling with the brake lights on equates to a no-go for me on this.
Keep looking folks - there are literally dozens of similar products out there that do not have this issue. I have one on my Thule T2 Pro as well as my Kuat Piston SR. I won't use a bike rack without a tailight bar. The model I use even has a reverse (back up) light!
I also have a license plate holder that I always use as well. Not only is it the law, (albeit rarely enforced), it is safe for me and my stuff and also courteous and safe to other motorists.

It's a bummer the turn signal dissappears when you brake.

Don't know where you live. but in Europe you must have it before you can drive on public roads. there must be lights on your bike racks.. driving lights, stop lights, flashing lights and reflectors.. and if you don't have them you will be banned from driving and a pretty big fine.. I assume you live in the US who lived in 1969.

I live in Florida. I agree with you, it should be a requirement. I just makes sense.
