First off, a high end bike for FREE? Possible, but baity so it's kinda sketch.
Then, he sends coordinates. Nobody does that! It's clear that he sends them because there are no houses around
After that, it's confirmed by there only being trees around.
If that wasn't enough, he asks and is told to come into the woods. If I had been dumb enough to go to the coordinates, you bet your ass I would have turned around and sped in the other direction. Why would he go into the woods? It's so stupid that I *almost* think it's fake, but it might just be a guy with an extreme case of stupidity.

The bad guy was dumb as well. Sneak near the car,slash the tires and don't even attempt to chase the guy.
@Rusty Kinks it's simple. If instead of trying to ambush him in the forest he decided to make the escape harder by slashing the tires,then he should have tried to chase the main character so that the whole machination doesn't feel like a total waste.

The first story:
Imagine he was just riding in circles for like 30 minutes.
Honestly that is probably what happened lol
The way the story presents it, the rider seems to think that woman was real. So either he was very much just riding in circles near the woman, or this woman needs to ditch her forest and go challenge Usain Bolt to a foot race. You're on a bike, my dude, some crazy old forest lady isn't keeping up with you. Either she's a ghost, you're going crazy, or you are riding in circles.

Mountain biking trails commonly zigzag back and forth through the woods, sometimes with multiple branches to take. It’s possible the trail passed near the same point multiple times. Also possible that in a panic the rider didn’t recognize paths they already took.

It was a scam
Maybe it was the bike from the guy in the first story.
The person in story 2 obviously didn't have ANY common sense:
1: FREE high-end bike - Someone wanting to give away something they could make a good profit on easily is cause enough for hesitation.
2: Act now! - Its very common for scammers to act like if you don't move on this in the next 3 seconds it's gone.
3: Grid coordinates - first off if they give you a grid coordinates you could have at least checked the location on Google Maps. Second of all if he's not willing to give out his address for "privacy reasons" that should be a red flag too. When you try selling things online you kind of have to make some compromises to get in contact with people to sell things. Or that's why you meet in a public place/neutral location.
4: Middle of the woods - again this is why you meet in a public/neutral location. The forrest on a backcountry road is a sketchy place to meet. Secluded, plenty of places to ambush, and a long police response time.
5: The dude telling you just walk through a forrest to an open clearing and refusing to answer his phone - need I say more?
6: Ignoring your gut feeling - if it feels sketchy, especially at multiple points, it probably is. Just choose a safer course of action.

Me I loved hearing his voice and I got super sad once he hadn’t upload a lot but he came back I remember I was in a road trip with my mom and stepdad also stepsister and brother and I told him if he wanted to hear Mr Nightmare stories I think the scary video was called Scary Road Trips or something like that but yeah I use to be so scared of listening to these stories but now I like to sleep while listening to his old or new stories
A tip: if you ever see an old lady acting weird in the woods, please inform the police, maybe shes lost. I am working as a nurse in a nursing home and an old lady in my station with dementia managed to run out and we and the police were looking for her for 3 days. Someone spotted her in the woods and she came back fine

Right I ride all the time but never go into areas that are away from a populated area I always ride on a busy road or along a beach that’s busy with people exercising and hanging out I feel even though story 2 was dumb the story 1 could have been avoided don’t ride in the woods unless you are familiar with the area

Someone’s half deaf grandma probably told the story of how one day she went for a walk in the woods and encountered some young punk on a bike who was riding around in circles. After the 10th time he passed her as she slowly walked the trail she couldn’t help but laugh, but then felt sorry for him and told him to come over so she could point him the road out. She never saw him again.
If my kid came home with friends saying that they thought they were being tailed by some car I wouldn’t send the kids back home. I don’t care how short of a ride it is.

Funny story, every time I get wasted and need a ride home, I send the person coordinates. I have absolutely NO idea how. I don’t have an app for it and my sober self is still trying to figure it out to this day.

Story 1. He was riding through the trails for hours, yet the stalking woman seemed to be able to keep up with him!
Most likely younger than she appears, meaning she could be running to catch up to him, or she knows of some short cuts to get to his position so quickly. Or she knows the paths he’s taking, and finds a way to get to the end of the path to wait for him when she eventually passes. Or she’s, y’know, paranormal/supernatural.

PSA- you can still drive your car on slashed tires. It'll be unsafe (try to avoid high speed) it'll damage the rims and drivetrain, but it'll still move in an emergency

I thought this too about the first guy, but ditching the bike means he was no longer restricted to the trails and could just book it into the woods somewhere, making it easier to hide.
The first guy had no idea how close the woman was. Getting on the bike could take too long to accelerate.
