Yep, The Who at their peak were the greatest live band. I’ve seen them a dozen times since their Moon/Entwistle heyday, and they have always delivered 🎸
The Who remains one of the very best rock bands ever. It is amazing to have four such awesome talents in one band! I know The Who since I first heard Tommy back in the 70s, which you should really, really listen to in its entirety.
Roger Daltrey on vocals, Pete Townsend on lead guitar, Keith Moon (RIP) on drums and John Entwhistle (RIP) on bass guitar. One of the greatest and most iconic rock bands of the '70's and '80's and beyond. Musical perfection. 🙋♂
Although I've listened to The Who when I was a teenager when they first came on America's radio stations, I hadn't really gotten into their music until recently. Like you I recall "Who Are You?" from CSI but the more I check out their songs, I'm appreciating how talented they were, some of them have passed away. Many of them are psychologically deep like "Behind Blue Eyes". They experimented a lot and their better songs had distinct mood changes. Like many bands of the late '60's through the '80's, they tried to showcase each member's contribution. The arrangement of the songs are largely unappreciated. That they stayed together as long as they did is really unusual for a rock band. Their early antics on stage during live performances were radical, check out their Monterey Pop Festival of 1967 when they first toured the U.S. with the legendary Jimi Hendrix.
The lead singer Roger Daltrey has also had an acting career. In my opinion his best film is McVicar. I am a hard core horror fan but his death scene in The Legacy is truly disturbing
I saw The Who in 82' then 22'. Forty years apart and man...Roger and Pete at 78 and 77 at the time didn't miss a beat!! What a show!!! Brought back so many good memories...
Omg, inna just mentioned all my favourite series 😊 the song is played in csi. I still watch the series from time to time. And yeah this group has so much fun together. Did you noticed that Keith( the drummer) had his headphones taped just so they would not fall off 😂😂
Other great songs by The Who: "Behind Blue Eyes", "Join Together", "My Generation", "I Can't Explain", "Happy Jack", "I Can See For Miles", "Pinball Wizard", "I'm Free", "The Seeker", "Baba O' Riley" and "Love Reign O'er Me just to name a few!
I got into them as a pretty much...,child! They excited me then, and I still get excited now! It is the CSI. As the first three shows intros were all Who? The Who!!! Dig it and live it!!!! 🍻🤟👏🍀
One of the best reviews of Roger Daltrey's voice that I've read, was something like: "He doesn't sing, he shouts... But he shouts in tune!" Not entirely accurate, but it sure sums up the way you feel when you're listening to it!
@@davida.j.berner776 yes some of the expert analysts have struggled to come up with a word to describe him. I think “holler” was settled on by one but she still had to go into further explanation. The key thing is that his underlying voice from the larynx is pure and he adds the distortion higher in his throat. This is why he can still sing brilliantly at 80 years old.
The creators of CSI are Who fans. The whole idea of CSI started from a poster advertising this song, that had a police officer looking at a chalk line of a victim, looking perplexed. All CSI spin-offs also have Who themes and often include other Who songs in the episodes.
Keith Moon the drummer was known as Moon The lune (Lunatic) known for his crazy antics on and off stage from blowing up his drumkit on stage to chucking objects such as TVS out of hotel windows, blowing up toilets in hotels and driving cars into swimming pools at one point the who were banned from just about every hotel chain in the US unless they provided a huge sum of money as surety for the damage they might cause.
All The CSI opens with the The Whoooooooo CSI NY CSI MIAMI AND LAS VEGAS Long Live The WHO and long live Rock which is a song they do!!!!!✌🏼❤️ from California and Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦
Cool video shoot. Haven’t seen it before. Like it was done in a basement type atmosphere. Love Pete’s guitar intro, very cool and different sounding. The Who has a monstrous catalog of greatness. Definitely one of my top 5 all time favorite bands in music history!
Keith Moon had the talent of a grown up & the mind of a 10 year old. Not technically the best drummer but exactly what The Who needed....a perfect match. They called him "Moon the loon" & for very good reason. I've been a drummer since 1970 & my name is Keith. Imagine the comments I got.
This is not the final version of this song, you'll find that on the album of the same name. That one is tighter, full lyrics, better vocal, etc. I've watched all of "Criminal Minds" and I recently started on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", nearly done with season 2. Yes this is the theme song for it. Watch The Who's performance of 'A Quick One (While He's Away)' from the 1968 performance from the Rolling Stones "Rock and Roll Circus". They were so good compared to the Stones that they didn't air the final film for 27 years.
There is a live music version of Pete Townsend's song " Give Blood " ( the Who guitarist ) with David Gilmour of Pink Floyd that's fun for fans of either of them.
Thanks Inna you're such a dear! Great fun BTW: The Warning's performance at the huge outdoor concert in Poland is available on You Tube now if you'd like to check it out. Rock🤘😎
Speaking of funny, there’s a pretty good exchange between Pete and Keith, filmed at the same time as this I think, about a guy who asked Pete if it would be a good idea for his son to follow his dream to become a musician.
I’d like to hear your take on a sadly neglected sleeper from that era: “Farewell Song” on the album “Live at Winterland ‘68” by Big Brother and the Holding Company featuring Janis Joplin. - -
Hi I’m Mark I’ve just joined the channel was watching the Phil Collins one you did a while back before one at live aid I like Phil Collins stuff to. You asked any suggestions there’s ones he did in Genesis to two great ones land of confusion and no son of mine also throw it all away he did it live in 1986. Take care.
Don’t miss music reactions on Twitch as well ❤ www.twitch.tv/innasolo ❤
This band just completely blew away everyone else when playing live! Just an unbelievable amount of energy and talent.
Queen are just as good as the who and some would say even better you bet !

As far as I know all the CSI shows have a Who song beginning and/or end titles - Wont Get Fooled Again, Baba O'Riley, Who Are You
Keith Moon 🥁 was probably the inspiration for Animal 🥁 from the Muppets..🤓🤣
No probably about it
It’s fun to see you enjoying the classic rock bands of my youth!

Love your reactions to The Who. Greatest. Band. Ever.
Thank you! 😊
@InnaSoloMusic you're welcome Inna.
My favorite band, always !

RIP Keith Moon.
"We won't get fooled again" is the main song in CSI.
The producer for all the CSI shows is a fan of The Who. All of the shows use different Who songs for their title sequences.
I grew up thinking The Jam were the best effing band in the world.
Then I discovered The Who.
Lovely reaction, Inna. ❤ Definitely a Who classic. And seriously great fun watching the guys goofing it up during the recording. 😁
Thank you ❤️
Notice how Moon's headphones are taped to his head
Maximum R and B. 😊

Promo video is what they used to call these back in the days before MTV.
Ooh! Thank you for letting me know
Yeah
This isn't the album version
That one is longer
I love this vid though
Haha The Who often named their choruses/songs/albums based on the word 'who'...a clever marketing gimmick. They were great.

So glad you’re enjoying The Who! Such a great band. Also, kudos for admitting that you were at least somewhat familiar with the song.

"Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦" Thank you for this Ukrainian fascist slogan. Fits incredibly well here!
@ dude are you a Vladimir Putin TOOL?✌🏼❤️🇺🇸🇮🇱🇺🇦🇺🇦🇮🇱🇺🇸

Perfection! 👌🏻

This was one of the last appearances of the drummer Keith Moon, before he passed away.
So sad :(
CSI Las Vegas of course, intro !
Holy Moly!😊
Played on the radio late Seventies through the 2000s complete with the two F-bombs.
My dear, I'm old. We learned it by it being on the radio.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Outstanding,,,

You need "Young Man Blues" live- Isle of Wight 1970 & "Love Reign O'er Me" 1970 studio version. Rock on
There is a live music version of Pete Townsend's song " Give Blood " ( the Who guitarist ) with David Gilmour of Pink Floyd that's fun for fans of either of them.
woowee the song is
on The Who CD
You Must Listen to the Studio Version... It Is A MUST
You're right, Inna, is the overture of CSI. Thank you for reacting to 👏👏👏
Thanks Inna you're such a dear!
Great fun
BTW: The Warning's performance at the huge outdoor concert in Poland is available on You Tube now if you'd like to check it out.
Rock🤘😎
Yep, The 'Orrible 'Oo are also hilarious. You should watch The Kids Are Alright documentary. Just wonderful.
Speaking of funny, there’s a pretty good exchange between Pete and Keith, filmed at the same time as this I think, about a guy who asked Pete if it would be a good idea for his son to follow his dream to become a musician.
❤❤❤ hola inna. Airbag. Estadio Vélez. La canción. Por mil noches. Abrazo desde argentina 😊
You gotta have fun while performing

All CSI series used Who intros... This one is from CSI: Vegas..🤓
Purchase the album in high school😮
This bound to be interesting
3 or 4 of the CSI series have a song by the Who for the title LOL
That’s so cool haha

CSI Miami
For the really goofy side of The Who, try "Cobwebs and Strange" or "Boris The Spider."
great reaction...please react to Young Man's Blues from 1970
Great reaction! How about Love Reign O'er Me?
Inna you have to listen to Pinball Wizard by them
Keith Moon the first !
Ok...give "Life on Mars!" By Bowie....
Happy Jack wasn't old but He was a Man.
The WHO ... th-cam.com/video/UDfAdHBtK_Q/w-d-xo.html .... See if you know this TV series theme song
