- This video shows you how to calculate the actual wind on a Jeppesen CR3 or APR CR6 navigation computer when you know the true airspeed, heading, groundspeed and track made good. Although this is not a skill required for the Australian ATPL Flight Planning course, it is required for ATPL Navigation courses.
Online video ATPL course at your own pace, details available at: atvc.com.au
no instructor at my flight school was able to teach me how to use this specific flight computer and this video helped
Wow! Yo uare the best. Susbscribe and like. Please make a vidoe about understanding and using the Jeppesen CR-3 computer.
Where do you get this 37 kt from @3:20.
Also the wind heading, it 257 diagonally from the center of the computer or what?
Great video thank you. But where are you getting the 37 kts from? Is the 37kts read off the top of the blue line?
37 knots is the length of the vector from the center grommet to the intersection of the headwind and crosswind lines. Use the circular lines to read the length.
@@BillPalmer that doesn't make any sense old man
@@diveshmcread it again slowly. You’ll get it.
Thank you very much this was very helpful
where do we get 37 knots? even the picture shows about 42.
Please pardon me, but TC does NOT stand for "course made good (confusing), it's "True Course"! Also, I didn't catch where the 150 came from. I assume this video is to demonstrate how a pilot can figure out wind changes during flight vs. what the Wx report stated on the ground prior to his flight, am I correct? You didn't state your purpose at the beginning of your video. Thank you for your graphics--they're excellent!
Thank you!!!
This was very helpful.
Perfect! Thanks a lot .
Very helpful!
Very helpful, thank you
Is the electronic CR6 wheel available online?
How do you get the 37 wind ?
Thank you so much
@@Ijhcfvbbghbbv5679 share with me how you got the 37 wind selfish bastard. no need to be so self- centred
THANK YOU
Any Idea where i could download the electronic/Digital CR3 you used for this video?
I created this myself as layers on a powerpoint slide.
@@A.T.V.C Any way I could download that from you directly? Im not very good at powerpoint..
@@SEALwannabe100 If you give me your email address, we can communicate more effectively.
Is the CR3 you use and App? Where can I get that to use on my computer or iPad?
No this is not an app, it is a non electronic aviation “computer”. One side of the device has function that include a circular slide rule, while the reverse side (the one in this video) is able to be used to perform calculations to do with an aircraft’s speed, direction of flight and the effect of wind.
@@indiankitchenonline9871 yes sir - i understand that. but you are using some type of online/pc app in your video - that's what i'm asking. how are you showing a video of the CR-3?
possibly to be more clear - you show a representation of one on your video and manipulate it. I have the E6B app on my phone and i'm hoping there is one for the CR3 as well. I like it better
thanks a lot!
what's tmg?
why is 37 kt?? where that come froom?
***** Thank you soo much, I really appreciate it. Happy Landings!
im going to go 30 nuts soon
i get close answers but not close enoght and i cant figure what i did wrong
