I grew up with rotary phones, no remotes, tin foil on the tv antenna, no computers, or cell phones, and yeah avocado green and harvest gold were the popular appliance colors.
My grandmother had a rotary phone and I had to use it and I was like what in the world how do you use this? She had to show me. But once she showed me, I was using it well. Then she updated to a touch tone phone with touch buttons that lit up when you lifted the receiver.
My children was little in the 80’s one born in 81 and one in 86 so a lot of these things makes me smile. I was born in the late 50,s so a lot of the 70’s stuff was my childhood. Hope your back feels better I had a bad back so I feel your pain. Thank you Dave
You guys are so young and funny.Old things are in style these days.Vintage clothes ,furniture, etc. Cost a lot of money I've been watching your channel a long time ,and you are very respectable of these places .Take care of yourself there's a lot of mold there.❤️👍🇺🇸
60’s throughout the 80’s were great times to grow up and be free to grow was the best times in my life, things started getting different about 2020 to me and everything changed. So glad I had it all, great music! Great people that even talked to u in stores.😅 My daughter n law thinks that sounds insane.
I don't think anyone should insult you for exploring these houses. You aren't a thief or vandal. Plus you never break into homes. You are respectful of the places you video. I truly enjoy watching your videos. It must not bother them too much or else they wouldn't be watching your videos. Love ya and stay safe.
The jacket hanging on the door was a barbour wax jacket.😊 you make me chuckle when you call ivy ivory .. Dave, keep up the great work. Keep on up, Nan is proud of you I'm certain 😊😊
I can't believe someone would say terrible things about you. Anyone who watches your explorations knows that you never break in, you never remove anything and you treat everywhere you go with utmost respect.
What an amazing place! You shouldn't have to explain yourself, Dave. I've been watching you for probably almost 4 years now, and I know how much respect you have for properties and would never break in or take anything x
When my grandmother comes around I smell her perfume, then I know she's around 😊. The lady of that house may be letting you know that she's there in spirit.
I remember that avocado-green bathtubs, sinks, appliances did not appear on the market until the mid-1970's. Wood paneled dens, oranges, earth colors are all 1970's. I thoroughly enjoyed your video.
I found this really intriguing Dave because the card said 1943 and Carol was 50, so that's 1993 and if the house was abandoned in the 90s she wasn't old. All these toys and books from the 70s and 80s would be her son's. So much stuff left. Really enjoyed it. Thanks😁
Pink phone great start !! My grand dad had a toilet and a complete bathroom in 50/60's Green . Bad toilet paper holder and I can go on and on really awesome stuff !! xx-me
There are only a few of you explorers that I watch and that is because you have a great respect for the places you go. I have never seen you act greedy for any item and it always goes back in place after you show us the item.Do not let nasty people and their comments get to you. More of the people that follow you love what you do and the possible stories behind the homes. Thank you from America ❤❤
Love ya Dave, you are the best abandoned explorer! You show such respect and care when explorering these places. You appreciate the lives that lived there & the cherished memories of them. I laughed when ya said you were born in 83,I wish!!,I just had my 60th birthday & belive me,the aches & pains get worse!lol😮 In US, our emergency # is 911,so quicker to get police or ambulance with an old rotary phone. I lost my Mom in Jan 2022 at age 89 and my childhood home, her home for her entire married life over 69yrs, had to be gone thru & that was the hardest thing I had to do, My brothers just wanted to throw most everything that wasn't worth something away but I could not part with her lil notes, her beloved knick knacks, some of her handmaid quilts,blankets,curtains,photos,etc..I had to get a storage shed to put in until I'm ready to go thru them. Then worse of all,I lived right beside her and to see her home,my childhood home remodeled & sold and see others live there breaks my heart. I wanted the home but I'm on disability and could not afford the repairs needed and of course the $$ my brothers wanted. My home is in rough shape & small & I would have loved to have moved back into my childhood home but the love of money is to great for some, even family. It breaks my heart to see homes just deteriorate & become unsaveable when there are so many homeless in the world! It is a complete shame!!! Love ya videos & when I can spare a few $$ I will try to contribute to your channel,it's just disability checks don't give me any spare $ much, especially in the high prices of 2023 & 2024!!! Keep on Exploring,Love ya lots & Blessings from SC in USA🙋♀️👍🙏❤️🕊
Great explore Dave really creepy. So much stuff left, so sad. You're doing a great job keep them coming, don't worry about the haters you can't please everyone 💕
Nice explore Dave. My youngest son is David and same age. I do enjoy this kind of explore. I think the odd feeling might be sadness. As you often say, this house represents past lives. Anyway, good video!
Loved this explore, and the new guy, Mathew seems a good fit with you. Not as good as Markie, but he’s okay. Really liked your your Japan travel pals too. So many great things left behind, I just wonder why the kitchen was so wrecked compared to the rest of the place. Thanks for taking us along, and I’m really looking forward to part two👍 as always, please stay safe❤️
Everybody have a life, and liberty of opinion. Good person or not what do you know ? curiosity about personal things of non present people is not are really "clean" passion...thats an opinion.
I got the whizzer and chips every week, the radio is from the days when young people would listen to radio Luxembourg. Good to see you've not lost your integrity over the years, I haven't watched for a while, sorry been doing old people stuff like quilting etc but you're still the young gentleman. Bless you.
Avocado green was what my Granny had, everything, fridge, stove, bathroom, and washer/dryer. Now my Grandma had the blue set. lol Great explore it would be nice to find some history on the house though. Have a great day
Looks like someone left everything,,like just walked out or passed away , probably passed away and next of kin got to old to take care of everything, even memories are left
Man this was a really cool explore! I’m also fairly confident any noises and such is probably just stuff falling off cabinets and shelves because of the decay. And there’s also a high chance of a critter living there as well. Stuff is stacked high and cluttered with decaying support it’s not surprising y'all’d be hearing stuff. But I totally agree there’s some spooky vibes.
I also grew up with one of those water columns with the baskets to land the little balls in. Mine had fish and id try to cheat it by turning it every which way.
Great video, Dave. You're a great explorer , don't listen to the negative people, and focus on the positive things. We all love you and appreciate all the videos you do. Keep up the great work. It was good meeting Matthew on your video. Stay safe, and God bless
I just want to say thank you for being so respectful to these homes. I see others trash it but thank you for the videos pictures and kind words. We have no idea of what really happened when people up and leave everything they own. Thank you
That was a great place with so much history. What I don't understand is if the son didn't want the house and contents, why not put into the hands of someone who could take care of the sale of the house and all the contents. Great video thanks
We had same olive green bathroom set, toilet, sink and tub, I was born in 1971, Newfoundland, Canada, house was built same year for my family, grew up with it all my life.
When I was 16, my best friend and I dared to go into an abandoned house and explore, this was in the 70s mind you. I remember feeling an uneasy vibe but sad too that this old house was left to decay with a few things left behind. I saw an old pink porcelian (sp) swan planter left on a shelf. I just felt so sad for it (as if an inanimate object had feelings) so I took it home and gave it to my mom (long since passed away now) so I have it. I feel sad to see all these things left behind. I wish people like you would take things home and give them love and appreciation again. Or be donated to historical societies to preserve. Such a waste to fall into decay with the lovely house. When my parents passed away, my two brothers couldn't be bothered to do anything with their house, but take what they wanted and leave the rest to get thrown out by anyone that bought the home. So me and my children, took everything out of the house and donated them because everything in that house was once loved by my parents and us kids. I fixed up the whole house, painted and sold it. I wish others would do same with these beautiful old homes.
Absolutely Luv the small roll top desk. Those things Dave are called 'coasters' which were used to put glasses/cups on as the old French Polish would come off with anything hot, cold or wet 👍
It's a cutie little old house I love old homes just something a bout them pretty cool old things in there once a gain thanks for a great video ❤ for this afternoon ❤ sounds like you are getting over a cold or something hope you are feeling better once a gain thanks for a other great video dave ❤❤❤❤❤ 😀
Wow, what an exlore. Thank you, Dave and Matthew. I am new to exploring videos only found and started watching in December. Dave, you are by far one of the best ,most respectful guys out there. Keep up exploring and stay safe x
Love you Dave I really look forward to your video each week. I think Mark is really great too I would love to see more of him with you. Take care lots of love David and Mark, Matt from Helen ❤❤
Loved watching this video 😊your really good and love the respect you have for other peoples property 😊 and as for the remarks saying your disrespectful let it go over your head 😊
Hiya. Really enjoyed this video. I have to say, there was a male following you around this place. I saw orbs first in the living room. At 11:46, there was a male vice, can't make out what he says. At 13:45, a huge sigh when you wee discussing dates. Whispers at 16:29. A male voice again at 29:48. At 30:36, I got the name Gaz or Daz. Another sigh at 34:29. Then at 37:57, your video skips back. That could have been an editing error maybe. What do you think?. I know you weren't into the paranormal bit in this one, but someone was following you around. Looking forward to part 2..xxx
I’ve been watching your channel for a long time now you are the most honest and kind person on facebook…. That upper staircase is truly haunted .. you are a sensitive and can’t really feel things … be safe my friend ❤
Love your channel. I had those annuals. Whizzer and chips beano etc. Those coffee machines are teasmaids. When the alarm goes off they boil the water so you can make tea. Mum and dad had one. Don't think they ever used it. Oh yeah broke my abw Explorer mug a couple of years ago. Don't know if you still do them. 👍👍Born in 1962.
I can’t imagine anyone saying such ugly things about you, David!! I’ve been watching you for years now and you have always shown nothing but respect for the places you explore. You are so awesome!! Thx for this video it was quite interesting!!
Absolutely love the cozy home Dave and all the amazing furniture and retro antiques taking you back in time with a paranormal filling love the rubric cube brilliant investigation ❤
My fav Explorer...been waiting for you to post....you look so young...I will trade ages with you...I am starting to creek...haha...onto this Explore...love ya loads❤❤❤❤🙏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Those magazines have value and especially in the excellent condition they’re in! I love anything historical, I watch the auctions as well as Dave’s beautiful explores showcasing all left behind and it breaks my heart knowing that some people have families or friends that truly didn’t want to be there for them nor in their life’s end! 😢
I like your videos that you don’t bring up paranormal or hauntings. It’s not necessary. I do enjoy your channel much more than all the other explorers and have been a subscriber for a long time.
wow.wow.wow..what a place.thank you for not disclosing location also.so nice to see an explore where the vandals havent got in to destroy/graffitti ect.just natural decay.😊
I just loved this house and brought back a lot of memories so much stuff just left behind and forgotten about its really sad can't wait to see you back to do a paranormal visit ❤❤
Looking forward to the paranormal part 2. The radio in the bedroom was 1950s, there was a few 1960s but a lot of 1970s I was born in 1970 and we had the exact same tv in the living room, I recognise and remember a lot of stuff in there from my childhood. Thankyo for the tour and can't wait for the next one. Xx
What you thought were coffee percolators , are called tea's maid's, my father had one by his bed. They used to make your tea for you in the morning. They had an alarm clock on them When the alarm went off , it would make you a hot cup of tea .
Omg ive not seen a hairdryer like that since i watched my mum get ready to go out in the late 80s to early 90s lol - she wouldnt have a new one she loved it ❤
Dave is the most respectful and caring explorer.
I grew up with rotary phones, no remotes, tin foil on the tv antenna, no computers, or cell phones, and yeah avocado green and harvest gold were the popular appliance colors.
Me too 😂
I didn't need a remote, simply forced little brother to sit next to the telly and flick through all three channels when one program finished 😂
You forgot Sunset Orange
Ya thoes were the days ,think that's why Americans are overweight don't have to get off the couch anymore
My grandmother had a rotary phone and I had to use it and I was like what in the world how do you use this? She had to show me. But once she showed me, I was using it well. Then she updated to a touch tone phone with touch buttons that lit up when you lifted the receiver.

Thanks for sharing!! Xxxx
Vintage things will always be the best in my opinion and I'm 33 years old.
Yes, thx for not filming all what you do there 😂🤗
60’s throughout the 80’s were great times to grow up and be free to grow was the best times in my life, things started getting different about 2020 to me and everything changed. Well said and true!!!
How do you know these guys don't break in,? They never show entering through the door,,, it's always inside house, recording starts,
The jacket hanging on the door was a barbour wax jacket.😊 you make me chuckle when you call ivy ivory .. Dave, keep up the great work. Keep on up, Nan is proud of you I'm certain 😊😊
I seen that jacket !
I can't believe someone would say terrible things about you. Anyone who watches your explorations knows that you never break in, you never remove anything and you treat everywhere you go with utmost respect.
The 70’s are my era when I was little.
It’s lovely seeing the old phones, fax machine, etc. when our world was so much better.
What an amazing place! You shouldn't have to explain yourself, Dave. I've been watching you for probably almost 4 years now, and I know how much respect you have for properties and would never break in or take anything x
I still can’t get over how these places just get left. Another great explore Dave 😊
When my grandmother comes around I smell her perfume, then I know she's around 😊. The lady of that house may be letting you know that she's there in spirit.
I smelled my Grandma’s perfume in their house when sh’d been gone a long time❤😊
@@brendaloera8751 I smell it where I live now 😁😁😁.
I really enjoy watching you explore these old houses and the belongings left behind but it is a bit sad to see it all forgotten and left behind
And isn't it wonderful that some have appreciation for times & things gone by 🌞
I love your passion for these old houses and the history and stories. Great video. Shame everything gets left behind., ❤❤
Glad you like them! 💗💗
Miserable people like to make others miserable. I think you're awesome! I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate you!😊❤️
Thank you so much!
Yes, that is very true. Don't give them the time of day they are not worth it. My famous saying is "ignore them and they'll go away" 😉
I remember that avocado-green bathtubs, sinks, appliances did not appear on the market until the mid-1970's. Wood paneled dens, oranges, earth colors are all 1970's. I thoroughly enjoyed your video.
My mom drove a puke green gremlin car 1973 . I remember as a little kid 😅.
I found this really intriguing Dave because the card said 1943 and Carol was 50, so that's 1993 and if the house was abandoned in the 90s she wasn't old. All these toys and books from the 70s and 80s would be her son's. So much stuff left. Really enjoyed it. Thanks😁

Awesome house. My sisters and I had a proper scalextric similar to that as kids. It was loads of fun. I’m an eighties kid too.
Great explore Dave really creepy. So much stuff left, so sad. You're doing a great job keep them coming, don't worry about the haters you can't please everyone 💕
Awesome explore. And thank you for doing two separate videos for those of us that love watching your vids but don't like the paranormal stuff. Bravo 🎉
40 wait till your 70 its a real treat NOT!! Took me straight back to the 1960s 🤗. Thankyou Adam ❤️🇦🇺

Exactly!!!!!

Pink and baby-blue baths were a thing of the 1950's!! Our bath tubs and sinks were baby-blue when I was a child in the early and mid 1950's.
I still have a blue bathtub 😂😂
Great video, Dave. You're a great explorer , don't listen to the negative people, and focus on the positive things. We all love you and appreciate all the videos you do. Keep up the great work. It was good meeting Matthew on your video. Stay safe, and God bless

Gd morning my friend just about to watch the new upload many thanks for the loads ov watched.xxxx
I’m surprised city hall doesn’t contact owners/living relatives to clean out these places and sell the house. Such a shame and wasteful
I can’t imagine anyone saying such ugly things about you, David!! I’ve been watching you for years now and you have always shown nothing but respect for the places you explore. You are so awesome!! Thx for this video it was quite interesting!!

Hello from Canada thanks for sharing really sad so much memories take care be safe ❤
They had an alarm clock on them
When the alarm went off , it would make you a hot cup of tea .
18:38, I have my grandfather's Remington electric shave from the 1940's, and it still woks great.
Thanks Dave .. love your explores .
