I grew up with rotary phones, no remotes, tin foil on the tv antenna, no computers, or cell phones, and yeah avocado green and harvest gold were the popular appliance colors.
Me too 😂
I didn't need a remote, simply forced little brother to sit next to the telly and flick through all three channels when one program finished 😂
You forgot Sunset Orange
Ya thoes were the days ,think that's why Americans are overweight don't have to get off the couch anymore
My grandmother had a rotary phone and I had to use it and I was like what in the world how do you use this? She had to show me. But once she showed me, I was using it well. Then she updated to a touch tone phone with touch buttons that lit up when you lifted the receiver.
My children was little in the 80’s one born in 81 and one in 86 so a lot of these things makes me smile. I was born in the late 50,s so a lot of the 70’s stuff was my childhood. Hope your back feels better I had a bad back so I feel your pain. Thank you Dave
You guys are so young and funny.Old things are in style these days.Vintage clothes ,furniture, etc. Cost a lot of money I've been watching your channel a long time ,and you are very respectable of these places .Take care of yourself there's a lot of mold there.❤️👍🇺🇸
Thanks for sharing!! Xxxx
Vintage things will always be the best in my opinion and I'm 33 years old.
Yes, thx for not filming all what you do there 😂🤗
60’s throughout the 80’s were great times to grow up and be free to grow was the best times in my life, things started getting different about 2020 to me and everything changed. So glad I had it all, great music! Great people that even talked to u in stores.😅 My daughter n law thinks that sounds insane.
Dave is the most respectful and caring explorer.
The jacket hanging on the door was a barbour wax jacket.😊 you make me chuckle when you call ivy ivory .. Dave, keep up the great work. Keep on up, Nan is proud of you I'm certain 😊😊
I seen that jacket !
I love your passion for these old houses and the history and stories. Great video. Shame everything gets left behind., ❤❤
Glad you like them! 💗💗
Miserable people like to make others miserable. I think you're awesome! I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate you!😊❤️
Thank you so much!
Yes, that is very true. Don't give them the time of day they are not worth it. My famous saying is "ignore them and they'll go away" 😉
I can't believe someone would say terrible things about you. Anyone who watches your explorations knows that you never break in, you never remove anything and you treat everywhere you go with utmost respect.
I remember that avocado-green bathtubs, sinks, appliances did not appear on the market until the mid-1970's. Wood paneled dens, oranges, earth colors are all 1970's. I thoroughly enjoyed your video.
My mom drove a puke green gremlin car 1973 . I remember as a little kid 😅.
I really enjoy watching you explore these old houses and the belongings left behind but it is a bit sad to see it all forgotten and left behind
And isn't it wonderful that some have appreciation for times & things gone by 🌞
What an amazing place! You shouldn't have to explain yourself, Dave. I've been watching you for probably almost 4 years now, and I know how much respect you have for properties and would never break in or take anything x
Love ya Dave, you are the best abandoned explorer! You show such respect and care when explorering these places. You appreciate the lives that lived there & the cherished memories of them.
I laughed when ya said you were born in 83,I wish!!,I just had my 60th birthday & belive me,the aches & pains get worse!lol😮
In US, our emergency # is 911,so quicker to get police or ambulance with an old rotary phone.
I lost my Mom in Jan 2022 at age 89 and my childhood home, her home for her entire married life over 69yrs, had to be gone thru & that was the hardest thing I had to do, My brothers just wanted to throw most everything that wasn't worth something away but I could not part with her lil notes, her beloved knick knacks, some of her handmaid quilts,blankets,curtains,photos,etc..I had to get a storage shed to put in until I'm ready to go thru them. Then worse of all,I lived right beside her and to see her home,my childhood home remodeled & sold and see others live there breaks my heart. I wanted the home but I'm on disability and could not afford the repairs needed and of course the $$ my brothers wanted. My home is in rough shape & small & I would have loved to have moved back into my childhood home but the love of money is to great for some, even family.
It breaks my heart to see homes just deteriorate & become unsaveable when there are so many homeless in the world! It is a complete shame!!!
Love ya videos & when I can spare a few $$ I will try to contribute to your channel,it's just disability checks don't give me any spare $ much, especially in the high prices of 2023 & 2024!!!
Keep on Exploring,Love ya lots & Blessings from SC in USA🙋♀️👍🙏❤️🕊
Looks like someone left everything,,like just walked out or passed away , probably passed away and next of kin got to old to take care of everything, even memories are left
Pink phone great start !! My grand dad had a toilet and a complete bathroom in 50/60's Green . Bad toilet paper holder and I can go on and on really awesome stuff !! xx-me
Amazing explore bro creapy place
I still can’t get over how these places just get left. Another great explore Dave 😊
I wouldn’t let it bother me. People can be jealous and cruel and me just slide it off your back people like that have their own problem. I wouldn’t worry like watching you. It’s cool, but you don’t have to prove yourself to nobody again that’s their problem. Where is Mark? Lol.
Loved this explore, and the new guy, Mathew seems a good fit with you. Not as good as Markie, but he’s okay. Really liked your your Japan travel pals too. So many great things left behind, I just wonder why the kitchen was so wrecked compared to the rest of the place. Thanks for taking us along, and I’m really looking forward to part two👍 as always, please stay safe❤️
Thankyou
I don't think anyone should insult you for exploring these houses. You aren't a thief or vandal. Plus you never break into homes. You are respectful of the places you video. I truly enjoy watching your videos. It must not bother them too much or else they wouldn't be watching your videos. Love ya and stay safe.
Well said and true!!!
How do you know these guys don't break in,? They never show entering through the door,,, it's always inside house, recording starts,
When my grandmother comes around I smell her perfume, then I know she's around 😊. The lady of that house may be letting you know that she's there in spirit.
I smelled my Grandma’s perfume in their house when sh’d been gone a long time❤😊
@@brendaloera8751 I smell it where I live now 😁😁😁.
Awesome house. My sisters and I had a proper scalextric similar to that as kids. It was loads of fun. I’m an eighties kid too.
Great explore Dave really creepy. So much stuff left, so sad. You're doing a great job keep them coming, don't worry about the haters you can't please everyone 💕
So much left behind. So So sad
How come you don’t look at the back of the pictures? Sometimes people write their names on the back and the year so they don’t forget. 🙃 . Just curious.
My fav Explorer...been waiting for you to post....you look so young...I will trade ages with you...I am starting to creek...haha...onto this Explore...love ya loads❤❤❤❤🙏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Deal! Xx
The people that put you down tell them to get a life you are a good person.
Exactly!!!!!
Everybody have a life, and liberty of opinion. Good person or not what do you know ? curiosity about personal things of non present people is not are really "clean" passion...thats an opinion.
Should have mask and gloves on
I found this really intriguing Dave because the card said 1943 and Carol was 50, so that's 1993 and if the house was abandoned in the 90s she wasn't old. All these toys and books from the 70s and 80s would be her son's. So much stuff left. Really enjoyed it. Thanks😁
So is it 999 over there here in America it's 911
It's a cutie little old house I love old homes just something a bout them pretty cool old things in there once a gain thanks for a great video ❤ for this afternoon ❤ sounds like you are getting over a cold or something hope you are feeling better once a gain thanks for a other great video dave ❤❤❤❤❤ 😀
The 70’s are my era when I was little.
It’s lovely seeing the old phones, fax machine, etc. when our world was so much better.
That ca4ved staircase is gorgeous. Don't see that any more
Nice explore Dave. My youngest son is David and same age. I do enjoy this kind of explore. I think the odd feeling might be sadness. As you often say, this house represents past lives. Anyway, good video!
Great explore just so you know the reason you got the weird feeling is because the house is haunted by a powerful demon that almost possessed one of moxley from moxleys paranormal world yt friends putting him in a zombie like trance and kept closing the door upstairs as well as throwing items moxley and his friends were able to get good paranormal evidence even found out the name of the demon that haunts that home I know from the vid mox posted that the demon wanted everyone separated and possessed one of them during a Estes method that's when the found out the name of the demon and at that point they got the feeling they needed to leave ASAP be safe if you ever revisit that home
Awesome explore. And thank you for doing two separate videos for those of us that love watching your vids but don't like the paranormal stuff. Bravo 🎉
I born in the 70's but I grew up with my nonna and her house was sooo 30's. I loved her 1920 phone! I miss you nonna!😢
Smash the like button everyone really helps dave
😢 where is marky
"TWO THINGS YOU WOULD LIKE TO KEEP" A bottle and 1970 came boy. WELL BLOODY WELL KEEP it. IT'S OKAY it's not a crime or immoral. At least admit you simply don't want to take sh_t. That's fine.I just don't understand. I'd take a ton of stuff. It is just going to rot away.
I was watching a show the other day and this girl said "oh 1972? That's so old!" And I was like hey thats the year I was born! Lol I guess I am old now or vintage? Lol
That's so funny I was born in 1967 and everything there is what I grew up with 😂.
Heck I am not vintage, old or antique 😆. Well, maybe my body is old it cracks, it aches, it pains lol 😂. But my mind is very young 😉.
Haha I can relate..born in 1970 myself..and when I see the explorers that think 1990 is long ago...I just have to laugh!
@@laurel3267I agree. In my mind I'm still 25.. just my dang body keeps reminding me I'm not!! Ggrrr 😊
Find the son and ask him why he is letting it crumble!!!! Ask him to donate the stuff before it crumbles
Pink and baby-blue baths were a thing of the 1950's!! Our bath tubs and sinks were baby-blue when I was a child in the early and mid 1950's.
I still have a blue bathtub 😂😂
No sign of Dick in the house. They got divorced or he passed. One male child. Carol lived into her 50s because of birthday card stating 1943 birth date. Probably did buy house in the 60s. Could of lost husband and son in accident due to toys left around house. Carol may have rented out rooms. Definitely single due to bed size in her room.😊
40 wait till your 70 its a real treat NOT!! Took me straight back to the 1960s 🤗. Thankyou Adam ❤️🇦🇺
Loved watching this video 😊your really good and love the respect you have for other peoples property 😊 and as for the remarks saying your disrespectful let it go over your head 😊
Cool video, but I cringe everytime I see all you explorers touch items in these places covered with mold ,yet so few of you wear gloves and still touch your faces or others hands. I so hope your health isn't compromised. Sorry to complain . BE SAFE. ❤😊
Great video, Dave. You're a great explorer , don't listen to the negative people, and focus on the positive things. We all love you and appreciate all the videos you do. Keep up the great work. It was good meeting Matthew on your video. Stay safe, and God bless
There are only a few of you explorers that I watch and that is because you have a great respect for the places you go. I have never seen you act greedy for any item and it always goes back in place after you show us the item.Do not let nasty people and their comments get to you. More of the people that follow you love what you do and the possible stories behind the homes. Thank you from America ❤❤
So why are all your thumbnails never images of the actual places? Clickbait? Not watching this fake shite anymore
Rotary phones were your only choice back then push button phones only because popular in the late 70's also the emergency # 911 in America didn't exist you called the operator
I’m surprised city hall doesn’t contact owners/living relatives to clean out these places and sell the house. Such a shame and wasteful
Back in the days of rotary phones we did not have 3-digit emergency numbers. You called the 7 digit police emergency number or the 7-digit general inquiry number directly
Hi Dave loved it. Haven't been following you because of the Paranormal being done. But good to catch up. Stay safe . Thank You beverley stone Devon

Hiya. Really enjoyed this video. I have to say, there was a male following you around this place. I saw orbs first in the living room. At 11:46, there was a male vice, can't make out what he says. At 13:45, a huge sigh when you wee discussing dates. Whispers at 16:29. A male voice again at 29:48. At 30:36, I got the name Gaz or Daz. Another sigh at 34:29. Then at 37:57, your video skips back. That could have been an editing error maybe. What do you think?. I know you weren't into the paranormal bit in this one, but someone was following you around. Looking forward to part 2..xxx
In case of an emergency, you would dial "0" and wait for an operator to answer. ☎️
That was a very very long time ago. 999 direct dial started in the late 30s
@@roomullan3050 999 is one of my favorite punk rock bands of the 1980s.
I'm not familiar with 999 dialing. Also, 999 upside down is # 🤫.
@@jfi-y8o haha never heard of them, 999 is our emergency number. It was introduced in England in 1937. You can then ask for police, ambulance, fire and coastguard
That was a great place with so much history. What I don't understand is if the son didn't want the house and contents, why not put into the hands of someone who could take care of the sale of the house and all the contents. Great video thanks
Even though this stuff is decaying, your friend🤬 should respect the deceased owners and not make fun of intimate undies
Was the hairdryer a moulinex ? (Produced moo Lyn ex ) They made small appliances back in the day. The fax machine stands for facsimile not file a fax 🤣🤣🤣🤣 the contents definitely date from early 90s or before. Great vid Dave xx ps the bathroom with two doors is called a Jack n Jill bathroom pups, the badges were known as patches
Yeah Moulinex my mum had one in the 70s, it was a different shape but orange
Please don’t listen to the haters
Glad your friend took pics of that china . The markings will tell you when it was made , even the dynasty if its old . 👍
Wouldn’t you love to do some paranormal investigating there.
Avocado green was what my Granny had, everything, fridge, stove, bathroom, and washer/dryer. Now my Grandma had the blue set. lol Great explore it would be nice to find some history on the house though. Have a great day
Dave is the most respectful and caring explorer.
1996 is 28 years ago or am I missing something when they said 19/20 years?
“Lots of love from Dick” *giggles*
Dave you mad me smile ,you wait till your 70 ,then you have pains ha ha stay young in your mind that’s the secret ❤️🇬🇧
Amazes me how so many homes and belongings are left and forgotten. I don’t get it🤷
You NEVER fail to provide superb content, Dave 👏. Missed you last week😔 When is the first video dropping for your new channel please?🫨👀 👀👀? keep safe. Rich 🇬🇧
I was going to ask the same thing. I keep checking the channel but there's nothing on it yet 🤷♀️.
@@laurel3267 🤔 Great minds think alike 👀👏🤗 Rich 🇬🇧
Sadly , when I see houses like this , with everything left in place , as if they just went shopping and will be back soon , I believe that they went on vacation or a trip and fully intended on returning ,, but got into an automotive or airplane crash and they died !!
Thank you for all that you do !!
Amazing bro.
Yes the place your in is very haunted there's years of activity
May be was going to turn into a hotel or something , but for some for some reason didn't finish
Hi Dave 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
Man this was a really cool explore! I’m also fairly confident any noises and such is probably just stuff falling off cabinets and shelves because of the decay. And there’s also a high chance of a critter living there as well. Stuff is stacked high and cluttered with decaying support it’s not surprising y'all’d be hearing stuff. But I totally agree there’s some spooky vibes.
I also grew up with one of those water columns with the baskets to land the little balls in. Mine had fish and id try to cheat it by turning it every which way.
hi Dave and guys good to see you nice video it looks a little creepy 😱😱 and a little spooky hope you guys be safe out there 🙏🙏🙏🙏 you are making me so cold watching you nice here about a little bit of the story of the house you are so funny so please be careful you are so amazing and you do a great job on your videos can't wait to see you with Mark again when you are together you are so funny much ❤️ to you guys thanks for sharing
Don’t listen too the hater’s. They need to get a life!
🙏🙏🙏
Is that a shovel in a basket by the fireplace? 🤨
Dave I love your explores, ignore the wallys that send you stupid messages we all know you respect the places you go to x keep up the good work x
Totally agree ! But I laughed because I haven't heard someone being called a wally for absolute years !! 😂😂
What you thought were coffee percolators , are called tea's maid's, my father had one by his bed. They used to make your tea for you in the morning. They had an alarm clock on them
When the alarm went off , it would make you a hot cup of tea .
👍🙃Good Job👍sir🦋love watching your videos .🦋Awesome work.🦋God Bless🦋
I still have a baby blue bathroom, wouldn't trade it for anything. My second bathroom the fixtures is avacado green🤗👍🇺🇸❤️
I ❤ it x
U GUYS ARE SO…………………………🤣/🫶🏻👍🏻🤘🏼🙏🏻🏠👋🏻
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🙏
Ignore the haters dave ❤❤
I was born in 83 and was brought up with a cast iron avacado bath with matching sink and toilet
it looks like the owners literally just went out one day and never came home it’s so strange
Best year 1983 hehe
….even the words “dinky cars” makes me sad…🥺forgotten era..
Wow so many Mackey mouse comics
Love you Dave I really look forward to your video each week. I think Mark is really great too I would love to see more of him with you. Take care lots of love David and Mark, Matt from Helen ❤❤
have the same model aircraft in my loft, think it's a Bristol Blenheim
Lord Ormistoune
In 18th century Scotland, the card was sometimes called the "Justice Clerk" after Lord Ormistoune, who was the Lord Justice Clerk from 1692 to 1735 and was hated for suppressing the Jacobite rising of 1715.
Hi Dave & Matt..Great find
Love the old rotary phones..TFS love to you Mark & families ❤
Amazing house so much stuff I remember as a kid, the best time to be a child
Rubics cube. Hate it. Just take off off all the colors and put them all on one side done 😂
😱🤣🤣🇦🇺
I can’t imagine anyone saying such ugly things about you, David!! I’ve been watching you for years now and you have always shown nothing but respect for the places you explore. You are so awesome!! Thx for this video it was quite interesting!!
I appreciate the love xx
Great time capsule..the skeleton is a money box put your money on the edge and the hand pulls the money in.xx😊
i love what you do dave x i think its bringing that family back to life just for a morment in time x and we get to take a glimpse x❤
Another great video Dave wait until you get to your 50s lol
Gentlemen, it's been closer to 30 years abandoned, not 20.
Very curious find surely he died or in prison maybe? I'd check the tax records.
