Your comment at 23:21 was a large part of why I started learning to fly late last year: I wanted to inspire my small peeps, not necessarily to learn to fly but to follow their own passions, to see that to acquire a new skill you have to be willing to work hard, and to see that hard work as a rewarding part of the journey. I passed my PPL in June and, thanks to a combination of weather, work stuff and a broken toe, have only managed a handful of flights since then and haven't flown in a few months, but I'm keeping myself occupied with videos like this one until I can get back into the cockpit. Ignore the naysayers and keep doing what makes you happy!
Forgot to add that I started watching your videos just after starting my lessons as I was looking for PPL content to binge watch. Having grown up in Bristol not far from the airport, I hadn't even considered I could one day fly myself there until I found your channel and heard the unmistakable Bristolian accent. Landing fees are steep so I'll only do it the once, but landing at Bristol is firmly on my aviation bucket list.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I truly appreciate that. You hit the nail on the head with "inspiring them, not necessarily to fly, but to follow their own passions" otherwise what is the point in having this wonderful gift of life. If you are local to Bristol, you should look into flying here with us... feel free to contact me via the Facebook page: facebook.com/CJThePilot
I no longer fly, however, some happy memories brought back from this video. I learned to fly at Welshpool , and my qualifying cross country was over to wellesbourne to Filton and back. Was never keen on flying over the Severn bridges, no idea why
I'm really pleased it brought back some happy memories for you. Ironically on the return flight, which I will upload in the next couple of weeks, I recall saying how crossing the Severn is my least favourite part of the flight. I also struggle to think why...
Thanks! Although I do believe there was a tiny bounce off the main gear when I landed at Sleap. Otherwise it was nice. And yes, I agree with you about the jealous types. The stories I could tell you about the ridiculous things people have said to me, apparently I "pretend to be a pilot"... you literally couldn't make it up

Great video and I enjoyed your explanation of use of flaps for descent to remain clear of cloud.
Thank you, and yes I think the exercise worked out rather well!

Thanks Josh, hopefully we can fly together again soon. Many great memories made in G-JN
Yes you've worked for it so by all means enjoy the view.
It was unbelievably stunning on that day
Haters are always going to talk ballocks mate… more about them and their internal noise. Enjoy it, anyone that’s got their license has worked for !
I very much did enjoy this flight. Wonderful memories made
@@CJThePilot please do keep up with the videos, really enjoy them. Different kind of flying to my wee SSDR Sluka but fun to watch all the same.
I bet your Microlight is a joy to fly. I have plenty more content coming soon
