I’ve been really curious about All’s Well genre and I haven’t really heard many people talk about it yet so I’ve been waiting to see some others read it first so I would know what to expect haha - excited to give it a try now!

I read All’s Well last week and really enjoyed it. I will say as someone with chronic pain, her struggle was too real. I feel like if I had picked this book up when I was still trying to get a diagnosis I probably wouldn’t have been able to read it. I almost wonder if Awad has dealt with chronic pain, it was really difficult to read in that aspect. But like, the rest of the book? Wild lol. Also I finished In My Dreams last night and OMG absolutely amazing!! I could not put it down!!!! That’s how you do a mystery thriller!!!

I really want to read All’s Well, I live with chronic pain every day because of a disability called fibromyalgia and from what you’ve described I feel like I’ll relate to the main character. I suffer with the same dismissal of my symptoms and people just don’t believe that I’m in that much pain and am disabled because I’m “young” and it’s not visible. I have to use a walking stick now to get around and so many people stare because they’re not used to seeing a 24 year old with a walking stick :( loved the video as always ❤️

I feel the same about Robyn Harding books- they are so compelling and readable, but I usually rate them at 3 stars. I’m excited to read her new one. Probably not going to pick All’s Well, but I have ordered the other two. Btw, the owners of the restaurant where you work sound like they’re really good people. They appear to really value their employees.

Yess I loved this vlog. Super excited for In My Dreams! I think the issue with Mona Awad (and similar) books is that they get mis-categorized as horror, which means people go into them with false expectations. Her books are unsettling, disorienting, and even creepy at times but definitely not scary. That being said, All’s Well is one of my top books of 2021 haha. I also just finished Nightbitch and am obsessed- it had Mona Awad vibes. Kind of like Bunny meets The Push. I’d be so curious to hear your thoughts on it- I think you might like it!

I just finished The Perfect Family, which was my first read from Robyn Harding. I read it quickly as it was very easy to get through. But so many unanswered questions! Which frustrated me, but I did enjoy it and I look forward to picking up more of her books!

I didn’t enjoy The Night She Disappeared because it’s filled with all my most hated tropes. But I loved the writing and I want to read more from Lisa Jewell!
I dnf’d All’s Well at 41%. Didn’t like all the fat shaming, pacing or repetitive slogans. But the chronic pain rep is immaculate, you care for the main character, the concept is dope and the slow spiral into insanity was chilling and interesting.
