I have the exact same blade but I have a V-44 LT....designating light...so the blade is more like 3/16 in thickness. Mine also has the "aged" stacked leather handle. Super nice blade! 👍
Great Video. Bark River makes some good knives. That is one halluva slab of steel!! I am more of a tanto fan, but like the 1011, it is time prvoen!! Keep ‘em coming!!
@@haveaknifeday what’s the key to military parachuting? “MRNTAL ALLERTNESS SGT. AIRBORNE!” I really look forwart to your videos. You show knives (and patches) that I neither can afford, nor have the space for (live in a small trailer). You have shown some cool knives and I know that video wasn’t right. Any time - I got your six
Thanks for the share of the Case and BRK bowies along with the military history. I highly recommend, if you can, to visit the shop and museum (original home) of Randall Knives in Orlando, FL. Great collection of bowies, fighters, AR toothpicks, swords/spears, and surprisingly a huge collection of traditional folders ... along with a ton of military, space program, and advertising history.
Hey, I just come here to see Kitty :) Have you looked at the Ontario version? Looks more like the original, except for the modern handle. And its a knife I would use. The one you got, is too pretty to use.
A family com full circle, my Grandfather (was a British Marine) he was from Belfast Ireland, my Father was with Carleton Raiders, and In Korea, I served with the 3rd. Force Recon. Now my Grandson is with the Raiders, (at this time we do not know where he is at).
Sweet knives. I scratched my itch for that bowie blade pattern with an SP-10. I wanted one that was not display knife but a user because it is lashed to my pack.
@@haveaknifeday Indeed it is. That is a big part of why I snagged one of the Kabar made Ek daggers, just as historic of a lineage, but far less practical in the field though....
I’ve recently picked up a KA-BAR 1292 D2 Extreme Fighting/Utility Knife. It looks like a Dog’s head but beefier. I’ll be getting an aftermarket sheath for it and doing a review for it some time soon.
@@haveaknifeday As much of a looker it is, it is sturdy in a way a F/S will never be, and that handle shape just locks into the hand. That 1292 does look beefy. I know I've used the pommel on my Mark 1 as a hammer plenty, but that 1292 looks like it was made for it. And I've been thinking about an aftermarket sheath for my mark 1.... so I will be certain to check that vid out.
I suspect the Raider Bowie, saw its far share of combat action. The Dagger is a stealth killing knife, the Bowie, is a hack, slash, chop and hew kind of killing knife. Good if you have to take out more then one "Sentry" That sheath is nice but way to bulky. I'll stick with my Western W49 Bowie :)

Super nice blade! 👍
Mike Stewart is the man!
He definitely knows his knives 🔪. Knife whisperer
Thanks for sharing 👍👍⚓⚓🇺🇲🇺🇲
My pleasure. This was fun researching and I wish I could hear more firsthand accounts in its use.

That is probably the only reason I’d go to Florida since I’m not a Disney fan. Thank you for watching

My prayers and well wishes go out to him.
That cat loves you😂
He does, I’m a foster cat parent. I spend more time with him than his owners.

It is great adding a practical historic blade to your kit

just out of curiosity, what did you pay for it if you don’t mind that telling. I just bought one and I wanna see if I overpaid or around the ballpark

Okay...beautiful knife but that handle looks gimpy the way it is.
You turned the comments off, for your not MRE video :)
give it a try now.
