It is so, so sad to see the interior of those homes now. The interior of these homes were lovely back in the 1950's to the late 60's when I left NL. I knew the families who lived in these houses. There is history behind these walls and also in the exterior... as they were built from excess brick from the building of Cabot Tower. Perhaps you should research the history of these places.... owned and lived in by the McFarlanes for years.
Also, many 3 storey homes in St. John's had the kitchens in the basement of the home... especially if there was a walk in to that basement from the back of the house where the kitchen would have been located in most instances .
If these places are structurally sound then simply, fix them up and let people live in them again. Don't change or modernize anything, simply, fix up what's there and let people live in them again, that's all. My Best. Out.
Super cool.but friggin expensive for the state of the place. And knowing what's went on there. Yuck. But , super cool history. Hope someone can do soemthing with the place.
@@shannongreene1623 far as I hear, there have been squatters living there. But I think that came to an end a few years ago. God only knows. I'd say rats for sure. And some sewer issues that I think have since been fixed? Apparently it's haunted too, but that doesnt bother me as much as other rumours.
cant help but be jealous for the lucky fuck who gets to live in it! its what itd do, we'll see if its turned into a business thanks for the short vid of history
Great to see the inside. Must have been glorious in its day. Thanks for the tour Tyler

Did this house ever get sold ????
I guess the kitchen is in the basement because that’s where the servants would have been maybe??
