It's harder for me to get IPA so i use 100% acetone for pcb and flux cleaning (with caution on labels and plastics) it cleans well and also easier and much cheaper to purchase, it does also a great job on hot glue (and various other glue's sticky residue) 👍
If you find it hard to get IPA some antiseptic rubs will contain IPA recommend at least 70% though. For example here in Australia isocol is 64% and it will do the job fine. But the romaining % is water so please keep this in mind when using on electronics. Recommend 99+% if you can get it.
To remove any hot glue from nonporous materials like plastic, metal, or glass, use alcohol or isopropyl alcohol. This helps loosen the glue from the surface of the material and therefore makes it easier for you to remove it.
You can use kitchen paper towel for hot glue when it is hot. The hot glue will be transferred to the paper like liquid . Do not burn your fingers, use tweezers to hold the paper towel small pieces and solder iron to transfer the glue on paper. This technique will produce very clean surfaces and glue free. Is two hand job. Keep doing the good job. :)
Well Sorin, it was probably an easy thing today, but you showed how to use the tweezers, you showed how to remove the glue, you showed the soldering to get the power supply working. For me, as complete beginner I value that.
As Abraham Maslow said, "I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail." When you reviewed the soldering iron, the PC turned out not to need soldering, so you soldered it anyway! This device is not intended for in-circuit measurements at all, it is a component tester/identifier for surface mount PCB assembly work. This is why it is in the form of tweezers. The L, C, R and Diode measuring functions are the intended usage and they only added the functions you were using 'because they could'! Having said that, the plug-in measuring head would lend itself to an alternative base with one probe and a flying lead for grounding.
Dont know how Sorin didn't realize to you can put charger and also multi-meter to work together on cable :) on one side you put power on another side multimeter it would be also much more ez to all see what you do with tweezers :)
I just looked up the DT71 on Amazon it's $64, the company stated it's not recommend for testing on board components that you might get a false reading. So I guess I'll stick with a regular multi-meter.
Great job again mr Sorin, you should consider live stream from your workshop. Honestly those twizzers useless 70 bucks and use this maybe once a year for me its ok but beginners better get standart multimiter,
UPDATE UPDATE As of 26 October 2020 Just clicked on the Aliexpress site and got this "Sorry, this item is no longer available!" 😢😢😢 so it's back to my digital multimeter. 😊😊
I'm surprised you didn't remove the charging port, clean up the area and reinstall it. The shield around the port should have been soldered down; that would keep it from moving.
For my Audio stuff, ARM devices and quartz watches the tweezers would be perfect. A big fault is the missing 5+ cm of reach. I already have a wire with a needle which I can solder in but they should have thought about that.
Im ur new subscriber sir. May i ask a question sir?whats wrong with my acer laptop if I plug in the ac charger it automatically turn on.but later on if i use to power on the switch of my laptop it wont turn on.i hope u notice me.Godbless.
I don't know if you check your comments on your previous videos like this one, but I was wondering why you don't do live streams over a TH-cam while you fixing stuff, it would be easier for us to interact with you and also to ask you questions.

i havnt even watched it yet, but ive liked already cos them tweezers are the Dogs Gonards. EEV ALREAY DID A VIDEO ON THEM, I LIKE ALOT '' lets use this meter to fix the laptop'' ha ha ha You looked like the Hanible Leckter of the electronics world...funny as hell
cool toy Sorin.. This is the problem responsible people have all the time... They get all the jobs that the folks that just want a paycheck don't want t o do.. They just didn't want to mess with the glue I am sure..
Not a bad toy, but for 60 bucks - slightly too much. Especially with a normal 10 bucks ANENG you can easily put the ground fixed and test way more easier... if on the other hand one doesn't have space at all - better than nothing. What I really don't like about multimeter is the way you choose what to measure... I guess I'm getting old.
Soirin? you could of zoomed in and showed us better. For example, listening to you shout out voltages is boring...sorry....you know i like and enjoy your stuff. Its like a greengrocer stood at his stall....''Apples.....bannanas.......plumbs.......'' you know what i mean? it has no meaning or bearing . You could of tested a cap, checked inductance, shown how tips can be removed, that its £61 fom Ali. And loads other stuff. Sort it out son........lol
The smile on Sorin's face really generates a positive vibe.. So, keep on smiling Sorin!
Use IPA on the hot glue it comes off easy as can be cold best tip ever!
I hope this comment will get most likes - he need to see that pro tip!
what stands for IPA?
oh, i think i got it; do you mean isopropyl alcohol?
@@leerzeichen1910 That's the one!

Nice tips
I was thinking the same, then scroll down to the comment and see yours. This is a good method, and i use it too.
thanks for the tip

Thank you ! your video lessons help many people. A hug from here in Brazil.
Nice multimeter. Happy new year.

I like the video than begin watching 👍👍👍👍 because before watching I know I will learn something new. thank you
I use two long wires for power sockets, the socket can move slightly without the connection breaking.

Another great video sorin, 73s M3 MXB
During measuring with this tweezers multi meter I still looking on screen one :D

Hello Dr. Sorin :) Perhaps you can do a review of a decent hot tweezers set :)
Tweezer specs says can only test capacitance to 400uF. True? Most PC boards use 1000uF and higher.
Nice tweezers and repair thou quite easy one! Or is there an easy tasks in real world?👍
Sorin I love that motorised screwdriver much better that the multimeter - very sexy and makes a great noise. Where did you get that from?
more laptop repair... thank you sorin
Hi, I tried to get one of those Battery checker/ rejuvenation system you once showed us but the company never got back to me. Thank you
hey buddie, much appreciated for the videos. can you please do one on ssd hard drive repair. thnx
11:02 to remove hot glue use isopropyl alcohol. it will easly go off :) I accidently discovered it.

very nice tool.its automatic for all componets
Use IPA on hot glue, wait like 10 sec. and then lift it - job done :)
Always nice video sir great job
pretty cool review :)

Some crocodile clip could work
Even though it was just a charger port it was still fun. Peace!
Sorin make every video fun, he could not fix my dead hamster though so he not so good
Im ur new subscriber sir.
May i ask a question sir?whats wrong with my acer laptop if I plug in the ac charger it automatically turn on.but later on if i use to power on the switch of my laptop it wont turn on.i hope u notice me.Godbless.
maybe shorted power on switch ? so its still on
I dont know how to check it if it shorted.is there a video tutorial for it?
What kind of liquid do you spray to check shorts
He uses lighter fluid, and you can also use isopropyl alcohol which is what I use.
Well good to know
But you don't test like resistance and capacitance and indicator on this board, we need to see if it worth to buy it

Hi mister Sorin! I would like to know the shop address if it’s possible? Thank you!
Nice item
How is the solar system doing?
great job
Where does he work/name of his shop? I need to contact them to fix my phone...
Hello Sir, can u gave a book to read on mobile repairing pls
Hi, what mini screwdriver are you using? Thanks!
I think he is using Xiaomi Wowstick, I have the same screwdriver.

They Super Cool Tweezers..
i havnt even watched it yet, but ive liked already cos them tweezers are the Dogs Gonards. EEV ALREAY DID A VIDEO ON THEM, I LIKE ALOT
'' lets use this meter to fix the laptop'' ha ha ha You looked like the Hanible Leckter of the electronics world...funny as hell
Nice sir 🙏
That computershop probably saw that blob of hot glue. That made them think this would be a great job for you, Sorin.
To remove hot glue use isopropyl alcohol.
What soldiering iron can i use to desoldier componints off mother boards cause my gun cant melt the soldier on the mother boards yup yup yup?
Is a nice one, please sir how can I get chips like ITE
cool toy Sorin.. This is the problem responsible people have all the time... They get all the jobs that the folks that just want a paycheck don't want t o do.. They just didn't want to mess with the glue I am sure..
I love your video

nice tool...where to buy this one? ok...i find on aliexpress...not low cost :) 78$
nice sir ❤️❤️❤️
Tweezer multimeter seems a bit impracticable imo
Good sir
68€ for this tool is little bit too much..
not for all things it does
It is not usefull, very hard to see screen reading, you can’t check continuity like with regular one, for me waste of time and money
I think so.... another thing that we never see again on sorin table...
Laboratorio Assembler Computer hahah, i agree :)
And difficult to switch around
Using one hand to check for voltage, faults is mad insane in my opinion as any slips can short more components and make things worse 👎
I wish you were my Uncle.....I would never leave....lol.
Make a video of died dell Inspiron 15 3000
2:26 - His shirt wants get attention.
useless , i need a long wire for ground if i will use it . also its 70$
same, like my TS100 that I rarely use and have a bad thermal conductivity
depends where u live tbh. this guy lives in England. like me lol, about £40-50
too expensive. 80 dollar tweezer. I use 5 dollar multi meter and its easier to work with. At least i wont cry if i burn it haha
Sorin my mate vince another TH-camr needs your help , check his latest video he did a dodgy one and blew up laptop part 😩
Another My Mate Vince viewer here! I think its not a problem with that chip. Problem is shorted southbrigde.
❤️
This looks like nice little tool but for this kind of job its not very good. You need normal multimeter .
nice 100 pound tweezers
I wouldn't want to get the heat gun anywhere near those tweezers.
Use regular multimeter, throw in garbage this toy :)
$78.99... lol
first come to besiktas sorin
Everything is good as longest you get it for free☺ its dosent matter how uncomfortable it is.😂
funny how all chinese ads come to youtube channels at the same time :)
halow 😁
This is hot glue - its bad solution to usage
The tweezer is too expensive and not very handy.
Can’t watch it all.
Iam hookt by warezone multiplayer
Will be back after a little time

Charging port ? We saw it allready 1000 times... Tweezer toy ? Too expensive and battery empty if you need it... Bye
