The AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C do not have a noticeable difference in sound quality compared to the Lightning version. Both models feature the same internal drivers, noise-cancellation technology, and overall audio tuning. While the USB-C version has additional durability features (like improved dust resistance), these do not affect sound quality. Therefore, the listening experience is essentially the same between the two. This is information from GPT and also many reviews.
I’m kinda bummed they are just acting like the lightning ones never existed.. cause mine have serious issues. Also.. a shame they made the type-c have a great IP rating while the lightning are exposed entirely, I paid like $280 direct from apple for these things. The sound though.. frustratingly great. ANC and Adaptive as well, work fantastic.
@@Caches I was specifically talking about the case for IP rating, I should have mentioned that. You’re right the buds themselves are IP rated on the lightning though.
unrelated, the USB-C AirPods are a year newer and Apple made some minor tweaks to other stuff too besides just adding USB-C (as outlined in this video)
@@techtips According to most reviews, the sound quality between the AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C and the Lightning version is essentially the same, with no significant difference in audio quality
I’m pretty sure it’s literally just a difference in the case and the actual AirPods themselves have no real difference. It’s just so people could choose which charging port they want. But the actual buds aren’t any different
I find that would be very hard to distinguish, and therefore, hard to believe value vs performance would make the justification of an extra $80 - $60. But if you have the disposable income (or Apple stock), go get the c.
Hi, I purchased AirPods Pro 2. Mine are assembled in Vietnam, they are the new AirPods Pro 2 in USB C. Do you think the quality is the same as in China? They are official

@@BollyToHollysome fake Airpods have real serial/model numbers that actually pop up in the apple website, I prefer you just save up for brand new ones because most out in the market place are fakes
totally useless both sound exactly the same if u have 15 series go for type C but if u have orlder iphones then go for lightning plus lightning airpods are cheaper than type C air pods
yeah going forward Apple is switching everything to USB-C, but does suck needing to pay more for the Lightning version. I'm guessing because it's discontinued the seller is charging more.
lol i mean it's a fact some publications claim the USB-C sound slightly better, and that's possible since the hardware is not 100% identical (not talking about the charging ports). whether those people are correct though is debatable.
Many claim that it sounds better because their old AirPods have a lot of earwax and stuff and the new ones are clean
True i m both using usb typ c is better sound quality and gaming latency also
5 ghz provides better sound quality i think
dksh ❤gmrjd
I saved $60 over the USB C and paid $189. Much better deal.
a better deal for you. i’m assuming you don’t have a phone with usb-c.

They didnt test dust rating of lightning pods in the first place. Im pretty sure the lightning ones are also ip54 unofficially.

Usb c is a way of charging the case… how can it be a factor in sound quality 😅

They just meant the USB-C version of the Airpods sound better

I concur usb c sounds better
some difference in the box?
Should I buy the one with USB type C or lightning cable. Are there any major differences? Or I can still buy the lightning cable ones?
By the USB type C ones they are much more durable and resistant to water
Buy
Tremendous innovation. type-C
yeah like, apple was crazy trying to enforce a decade old cable with an outdated usb standard.
thanks EU
If i already have the lightning can i buy the usb c case separately and it work with my airpods
yes
A real number 5 change is the charger in the box.
I have lightning and ma bro the type C, is the same thing 😅
I pay 4900 MX

Yes, some people say the China version has better details about assembly. but I don't see it, I have them both.
I like the video, hope you go viral
So just a new charging port, got it
Many claims USB sounds better really?
yes, it's subjective.
I just got mine yesterday and its the usb c version 😊
C is better because its modified and latest edition
I have the USB C version
5. just placebo 😅😂
i mean i got the lighting for $140
I have the lightning charging case version. It still works great

4 isn’t true at all. Both will be supported on Apple Vision and they both do lossless audio 🤷🏾♂️
