unrelated, the USB-C AirPods are a year newer and Apple made some minor tweaks to other stuff too besides just adding USB-C (as outlined in this video)
totally useless both sound exactly the same if u have 15 series go for type C but if u have orlder iphones then go for lightning plus lightning airpods are cheaper than type C air pods

I find that would be very hard to distinguish, and therefore, hard to believe value vs performance would make the justification of an extra $80 - $60. But if you have the disposable income (or Apple stock), go get the c.

Also.. a shame they made the type-c have a great IP rating while the lightning are exposed entirely, I paid like $280 direct from apple for these things. The sound though.. frustratingly great. ANC and Adaptive as well, work fantastic.

lol i mean it's a fact some publications claim the USB-C sound slightly better, and that's possible since the hardware is not 100% identical (not talking about the charging ports). whether those people are correct though is debatable.

They didnt test dust rating of lightning pods in the first place. Im pretty sure the lightning ones are also ip54 unofficially.
