Oh yes the tre musketers is always on my shelf . Each of them is more or less equaly good even though very different in profile. Depends of the mood of the day wich one to reach for.
    Splendid rewiev and topic. 😊

Nice quick review/battle. Three great drams with great value in both smell and taste. The price here in Sweden, in todays currency is as follows: Deanston 12 sek562(£41), Bunnahabhain 12yo sek639(£46) and Glenallachie 12yo sek679(£49). These are fixed prices, never any special offer prices here......but it would have been nice if there were...but like Aerosmith sang once uppon a time "Dream on" Cheers

Three absolutely delicious whiskies! Not a wrong answer here but I think my choice would be from first to last Deanston - Bunnahabhain - Glen Allachie! Cheers Alan!

Alan, have not had the Deanston 12 but enjoy 3 other offerings from Deanston. Of the other 2, gotta go with Bunnahabhain 12. More flavors and a bit oily.

Great selection of competitors …all 3 worth the $65-75 usd
The Deanston 12 batches sitting on shelves in the US are 2-3 shades lighter…still more darker straw in color. Look forward to seeing the latest batches arrive 👍🏼

Hi Alan. Yep, these three 12 year olds have been in the past and still are sitting on my shelves, out of the three I still prefer the Bunnha 12 though. All solid 12 year olds. Slàinte Alan.

These are brilliant options, especially the Bunnah! I've personally always recommended Jura 10 year for that kind of price range (in the states, so $50 or under) just for the smoothness and approachability. Also, it's a great wee dram to introduce Bourbon drinkers to Scotch.

Got all 3, I would go glenallachie, deanston then the bunna. All good choices though

This is a great match-up, with three quality entry level whiskies ... but there's something about the winner that sets it apart. Agree with your pick.

Hi Alan, all three are outstanding, maybe the Bunna is the best. But pricewise at least in Germany the Bunna is around 80 € while the Deanston is around 37€, and Glenallachie around 40 to 50€ . So all in all I would choose the Glenallachie

All of these are fantastic Alan and for the price, they're all a no-brainer permashelfers. I really couldnt pick a winner, as I would probably choose a different winner each time depending on mood etc. I just killed off my Deanston 12 over the weekend, so I'll definitely have to re-stock as soon as possible. Tobermory 12 is another fantastic one at around £40.

GlenAllachie 12 has gotten stupid expensive in the US, or at least in the Chicago are. $80 by me, now. The only bottle i bought a few years ago was $45. Out of the three bottles here, I'd definitely go with the Bunnahabhain 12 and then the Deanston.

All personal preference, and for me, I would buy the Deanston. Arran 10 and Ledaig 10 could be in there for me too. Cheers Alan

All three are fantastic bottles, and all three are on my shelf right now. I've found myself grabbing for the Glenallachie the most often lately. Had a bit of a sweet tooth I suppose.

Never had Deansyon yet but love full matured in bourbon single malts like Glencadam 10 or 15. Love the other two but I’m crazy for Bunna 12. It’s very unique, very coastal like salted caramel.

My brother is coming over this week, i think it is also time for a battle, the GlenAllachie 12 vs Glendronach 12.

For me; one day it's the Deanston, another day it's the Bunnahabhain. Both excellent and co-favorites for 12 year olds; enjoy them more than a couple of 18 year olds I have tried.

  • @bradl2636
    @bradl2636 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    ALL. OF. THEM. 😂😂😂
If you force me to pick just one… the Bunnahabhain by a whisker. Deanston close behind. The Glen coming in a very respectable gentleman’s third. Not much in it TBH… if the prevailing winds were from the opposite direction they could finish in reverse order.

I was able to find the Buna12 and Deanston12, but I have not yet seen the GA12, I did however get my hands on the GA15 which is a bit pricier and only comes in 700ml bottle but that is my favorite for sure, then the Buna then the Dean. All are great though and you can't go wrong with any of them.

The Glenallachie just pips it IMHO, closely followed by the Bunnahabhain. The Deanston is good but didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Maybe I need to try it again because I really like some of their other expressions
