Just back from Italy and had the 1.6 diesel wagon as a rental for 2 weeks, very impressed, quiet motorway cruiser with
excellent economy and strong acceleration, considering the price point I reckon an excellent choice.

I drove this car today. I would agree with the verdict of "comfortable cruiser." It would be great for carting my student and all his belongings to university and back, including the double bass.

Why does Britain only get the tiny screen ? 7" touchscreen is a common option in other countries

They could have called it the tempra, that was essentially a tipo saloon and estate version back in the 90's.

Great Review and I think It looks great but I wish Fiat had thought about adding a bigger Touch Screen and even the Option of Leather Seats

Interesting, other European Tipo get a larger screen option.

There is Mercedes-like tablet in Lounge version, available in Poland. Leather? Yes there is also but it's only eco-shit leather.

Good car for the money. No one offers such good and powerful engine in that class and that sets Tipo apart from Kia and Ford and for less money..

Ford offers 1.0 ecoboost w 92 kW while having sligtly lesser torque. Not sure about prices, but in my country tipo is fairly expensive for a budget car, it costs almost as much as focus.

Who need diesel he needs it for open road and highway driving. 1.0 turbo engines cant compare for that kind of driving.. Little torque is almost double.. 320Nm vs 170Nm..

What you been smoking? You can get a 1.4 turbo engine in the astra, leon golf and octavia, with 150bhp

There is not a single second look on a dashboard and i am not sure, but the tiny moment i saw it, it looked a bit different than in sedan or hatch?!

They should be the same. The only difference between this and the hatch we drove is the size of the touchscreen.

Thank you, good review. The latest iteration of this wagon has a 7" touch screen (non retractable) tablet style mount on the dash ala' Mercedes-Benz. Much more attractive than what is presented here. If I am not mistaken, this wagon, along with its hatch back and sedan cousins, is a Turkish design by Tofas Manufacturing in Bursa, Turkey - a joint venture between Tofas and Fiat. All three are 100% manufactured in Turkey... facts that in my view, should have been mentioned here.

Thank you. The 7 inch display is not available in the UK. We tested the hatchback in Italy and that did have the larger display. Personally I don't think that this car being manufactured in Turkey has any great influence over it being built anywhere else. It is a car that is trying to compete on price and so manufacturing in another country makes sense.

Very nice looking car, but has an very cheap looking interior, and the engines seem underpowered aswel
