Wow, loved the vid. Hope I'm still riding and working on my bandit when I get to your age. You're inspirational pal and yep, torches on phones really are cool. Keep the vids coming.
Great tutorial mate, wish i had a lift like that to make things easy. just a small tip on what i always do when i do oil change. i always fill the oil filter with oil, just a tip if you interested . ride safe mate.
HI IT WAS ONLY A SMALL TIP I GOT OFF A CAR MECHANIC WHO SAID YOU WOULD HAVE OIL IN THE THE OIL PUMP STRAIGHT FROM THE FIRST START UP AFTER OIL CHANGE. RIDE SAFE MATE.

Nev have you ever taken the front wheel off your bike. Just wondering do you need to take the speed sensor of the right hand side to remove the wheel ?. It has two 8mm bolts I believe .
@@banditnev I have a 2015 model and assume all bikes with ABS have this sensor, and needs to be disconnected so you can completely remove the front wheel from the bike. Thanks for the reply.

WOW this non-stop barkling dog in the background is turning me crazy..how can you actually support that ? I would definitely shot it down ! anyways thanks for the video, instructive :-)
Back then I think it was on eBay from a UK seller, now I just see what is the cheapest on eBay for K&N filters if not I buy them from the shop I frequent.
Thanks for the tip nev just found ya channel love the maintenance tips please have more
Thanks jim, was hoping it not to be that long but as you know things take longer than you think. Cheers Nev.

Just did a Oil change on the bandit a couple of days ago ready for the summer. Well I'm 60 now and still have a few years to go I hope :)
Hey thanks for that. My best friend is a bike mechanic how lucky am I. But I have been doing simple maintenance since the 70's.
Lovely to see you Kev and a great tutorial I wish I had a lift like that. Bit sneaky with that on your back. That will take some beating.

We do that at the "Broken Kneecap". (Well ... 2/3's full anyway) Plus rubbing a dab of new oil on the seal.
The lift does make life easier.

RIDE SAFE MATE.
It's really cheaper to source the K&N in the UK than in Aus? Bloody 'ell, and we're always talking of 'Rip Off Britain'. Nice vid, Nev, enjoyed it.
Ty very much for the great video. Very informative!!! Can u plz give out a link to buy the K&N oil filters. Again Ty very much!!
K&N 138 is the filter to use and eBay is the place to buy them.
Hey thanks man.
Yep cheaper to get them from UK of eBay, it did so I don't forget how to do a oil change lol!

Well I had to do a 6 monthly oil change so I though I would do the woamuk1 thing for a joke. Cheers Nev.
No worries bigkev.
Nev have you ever taken the front wheel off your bike. Just wondering do you need to take the speed sensor of the right hand side to remove the wheel ?. It has two 8mm bolts I believe .
It's not the ABS sensor your talking about? But yes I would have as I do for my latest bike anyway as it is no trouble.
@@banditnev I have a 2015 model and assume all bikes with ABS have this sensor, and needs to be disconnected so you can completely remove the front wheel from the bike. Thanks for the reply.
@@AustinPetDetective It is very easy to remove as I did it only 2 days ago to deglaze the front brake pads.
K&N oil filters have a higher flow rate and less pressure drop ? Thats why you use them over the stock ones . How much did the motorcycle lift cost ?
The lift cost I think around the $500 to $600 from memory. K&N are easier to remove as well.
@@banditnev Sorry should have asked where did you get the lift from as well ?
@@AustinPetDetective I actually got it from Melbourne but can't remember what seller. I will try to work it out and let you know ASAP.

@@banditnev Great thank you for following this up for me.
Great video! What seat do you have on it?
Was the original but bought a sargent seat for it which I now use on my newer Bandit 1250 😀
@@banditnev I see, is that a custom cover?
@@rckhalsa Yes the cover is a wool cover made for the bandit here in Australia.

I suppose you get used to the noises around you and it doesn't even register!
What site do you buy your oil filters from Nev
