It is not about “managing children’s behaviors” but about slowing down, attuning, validating feeling-felt, feeling-heard and being respectful.

Great and very educational video. A lot of tips for teachers and parents......it's no only about kids behaviors but adults. Great job

    Very helpful.
Couldn't hear the questions from the audience though, subtitles for the questions would be helpful.

Great Video! Excuse me for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you heard about - Trentvorty Kids Science Theorem (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a smashing one off product for becoming an excellent parent minus the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my cooworker at last got amazing results with it.

Liked everything in this except the short discussion on cultural norms. Schools and educators are the ones who need to work on appreciating different cultures, not the other way around. I'm not comfortable with schools overly pushing cultural conformity. Other than that -- very informative!

replace the behavior with something the child can understand.

Gee, Pray tell! How do you teach blinking and breathing or heart to beat? You cannot teach the child to shift physiological state regulation on command!' It is NOT declarative semantic lingusitic memorization vis a vis reinforced behavioral strategies. All behaviors are emergent properties of the child's and our autonomic state, which shifts according to whether or not the child (or us) feel safe, sympathetics adapted for fight/flight or worse parasympathetic withdrawal/shut down or dissociation. You do not unfortuntely have ANY EDUCATION on this! All behaviors are adaptive and "appropriate responses", that is, in accordance to our ventral vagus/autonomic social-emotional nervous system or dorsal vagus (older).
