    Tons of SWAM videos on “what” they can do. Really dig how you took time to show the “how” it does what it does. Appreciate the behind the curtain look at the settings. We’ll done!

    Awesome job! I use Camelot for iOS and saw an advertisement for SWAM, but wasn’t sure if it would work for what I’m doing. Your video gave me some new insights into how to use SWAM. You changed my perspective. Thanks!!

    I'm about to start using the SWAM Trumpet, Flugelhorn and Tenor Sax with my Warbl wind controller, when it arrives.

    What are you using to get the plunger to go in and out to get the Wawa sounds like we hear in the Count Basie band

    Hi there, thanks for posting this video. Really impressive sound from this app, and a great walkthrough from yourself, I’m curious, do you plan to do any more videos on the swam instruments?

    Hi , Dear Tic Toc. Thank you for your great video. But I still have a question which you didn't mention in your video. That is : how do you connect your iPad with wind instrument and external amplifier ? [My iPad only have a lightening port]

    • @tic2datocshorts
      @tic2datocshorts  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m using a wireless Bluetooth MIDI adapter by CME. That plugs into my wind controller and is picked up by the iPad via Bluetooth midi. The iPad is connected to an audio interface using a lightning to usb adapter.

    Great video! Did you connect your controller via USB to the iOS? Or were you connected via Bluetooth?

    Hello! What kind of expression pedal do you use and how do you plug it in you iPad? Congratulations and thanks for your answer.

    • @tic2datocshorts
      @tic2datocshorts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m using the Roland expression pedal plugged into my Roland keyboard. It’s connected via usb and also MIDI enabled in the app. Can’t remember why I did it this way because the EWI has assignable expression. It may be that I hadn’t fine tuned it yet.

    Great. One thing that no one does. I mean no one. They don’t show you how to hookup the EWI. I have a 4000s. I’ve looked for ever for how to hook it up.

    Have this articulation?

    • @tic2datocshorts
      @tic2datocshorts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      articulations are based on the breath expression. I would say staccato, legato, and variations would be supported. For strings plucks, stacc, leg, portamento can be achieved. Not sure that it goes any deeper than that for strings.

    I'm going to be using the SWAM instruments with my iPad, soon. But, what I'm interested in finding more info on is the breath controllers that will work with iPad. Obviously, EWI and Roland's Aerophones work fine, but they're a bit expensive, so I'm looking into using the WARBL, which is a penney whistle-like instrument that is made for iPad and is fully compatible with SWAM instruments. But, is there anything else out there that is iOS compatible?

    • @DrDaab
      @DrDaab 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I"m pretty sure any MIDI windcontroller should work. The cheap stuff is likely to be very disappointing because fine control is unlikely to be built the very cheap instruments. The EWI-Solo is probably the cheapest with really great capabilities for external MIDI virtual instruments. The built-in sounds are poor (the Aerophones have the best built in sounds for acoustic instruments). Alternatively, if you use a keyboard, then a TEC Breath controller will allow you very fine playing.

    Is the EWI hard to play?

    • @tic2datocshorts
      @tic2datocshorts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It does take some practice just like any other instrument, however less for getting a proper tone(because it's a synth) and more for fingering and moving between the octaves, in my opinion.
