Honestly, I really enjoy following and watching fans like this, including Thuy. I'm just really disappointed in MTV for misconstruing not only Thuy and the BTS fandom, but fandoms made up of predominately girls/women everywhere. The opening line "hoarders, I mean superfans" was so backhanded, like collecting merch or demonstrating a passion for an artist is not some psychological disease. Nor is it the only thing that makes up being a fan. This is such a gross, capitalist viewpoint to depict fans. At the core of every collector, and every fan at that, is love and genuineness for the work of the artist. Shame on you MTV.

She didn’t come on camera with everything and all the clothes piled on top of her screaming and it seems like you can genuinely have a conversation with her. She is happy! The big part about this video is that she also has her own personality. And she’s not hurting anyone or herself emotionally and mentally. These women are my past and present. I used to (and still) love ‘NSYNC and now i love BTS! As a teenager in the late ‘90s, my bedroom wall was filled with ‘NSYNC posters. They are my teenage dreams! Now, I’m into BTS for 4yrs now and i love them! I couldn’t spend money on ‘NSYNC then because I was still in high school and couldn’t really afford it. Now that I’m a career woman, I have spare money to indulge on BTS merch (and will see them for the first time at their PTD CONCERT in LA!) Its their music, passion, creative content and their love for their fans that made me love these boys! Good memories!

This is me, too! I was (still am) Lance-biased. IMO, he's the most handsome out of all of them and has aged well. Just like you, every inch of my bedroom walls was covered with posters and pictures from the teen magazines while I was in high school. I was very lucky to go to one of their first tours (with Britney Spears opening!) and the No Strings Attached tour; back then, you'd buy your tickets and then have to wait upwards of 9 months before the actual concert took place, which was excruciating. I'm also seeing BTS in LA-12/1 and 12/2. What date(s) are you going to?

This is where I’m heading lmao my collection has grown so much and it keeps growing still hoping I can collect the wings concept book, all their concert dvds, and I really want to start collecting sign albums to but that has to wait lol. but collecting has become one of my hobbies and I find a lot of comfort in bts merch specially DVD just looking back at memories with them is something beautiful. I just wanted to say the amount of merch or BTS items one has doesn’t make anyone less of an ARMY. I feel we shouldn’t measure how much we love them by what we buy. BTS has taught us to love ourselves, to go for our dreams, work hard, put our needs first, etc. Also BTS understands that not all of us have money to spend on them and they understand not having money to get everything that we want. I think as long as we make sure that we are truly happy is what BTS truly want for us. If that mean listening to their music and try and support them the best way can, I think this is how we can honor them…Learn to truly love ourselves so we can love others fully. Also by having these BTS merch, etc. doesn’t devalue someone’s effort to buy their stuff. I am glad someone(s) are able to buy their stuff…
