When it comes to watching movies and shows, I really prefer a projector. However, I moved to a smaller apartment, and a regular projector just doesn't work here. So, this Paris Rhone ultra-short throw laser projector is perfect for my needs. First off, it's 4k/HDR10. Next, you only need to put it 5.8 to 18.8 inches away from the wall to get an 80-150" screen. So, there's no need to mount a projector 15' away.
Here's some other specs:
2000 ANSI Lumens
3000:1 contrast ratio
4k 60hz
HRD10
Dual 25W speakers
25,000 hour lamp

I like that you included sharing the personal dilemma of projector / moving / what you're currently watching / wall functionality. We need a japan vlog Logan!
honestly my favorite way to enjoy movies and TV shows these days is just on my 38inch nanoIPS ultrawide.
It's a fantastic display for film and anime in a super dark room.
Awesome projector!!! Will share.
Love that thing.
I said the exact same thing to my brother yesterday, we were watching a movie, and I was like you cant see the light coming from the UST, blows my mind.
Awesome video my friend. I have been using a projector to game for 3 years now. 1080p but it is more than enough for me, my XBOX Series S is doing phenomenally with games. My projector is just a cheap EPSON and is on the second lamp right now, already due for a replacement for the 3rd time. Prone to rainbow effect 3LCD tech is an one way street for me as far as projectors go. I am using the beast for 8+ hours every day sometimes 12+ when we have WOW sessions, after 3 years I have found out that eye strain is no more a thing for me. BTW I am 53 years old, ex-military and I am gaming from 1984, so old age comes with eye fatigue as a serious problem. Even if a projector is your ONLY display, you will never miss anything else. Greetings from Greece my friend!
I like your room alot. Awesome setup!
Awesome timely video Logan 🙏 we were just trying to figure out what we should go for in our living room and we didn't want a TV
props for the glorious ghost in te shell scene :D
I have a nice 1080p projector, but just like you and requires at least 15 feet of throw distance, I'm hoping for my future man cave to get a short throw, it looks super clean and also allows you to connect a projector right to a sound bar with a wire for no delay.
Love that GitS intro! I don't personally have a need for a projector but some of these short throw units seem like they'd be a great option for a home theater to get that classic theater feeling without running a ton of cables and needing to mount it somewhere. Very cool!
I want this projector so badly.
K-On! Rocks! Merci beaucoup Paris Rome.
How would you compare it to an LG OLED?
You wouldn't.
Same as how you'd compare an oven to an air fryer, different products for different needs. TVs for family rooms, projectors for man caves
Unfortunately nothing in the projector space really comes close to an OLED in terms of picture quality. There have recently been some projectors around the $1000 price point that have finally stepped it up for 240hz gaming, and there are projectors in the ~$5k range that can start to go toe-to-toe with OLED due to superior brightness and motion handling, although nothing on the market can do the 0 nits black that OLEDs can.
The real benefits of a projector are the raw immersion factor of the massive screen/coziness. I have a 77" OLED in my living room and a sony 4k laser projector with a 120" screen in my home theater, and find myself gravitating to the OLED when alone but the projector when friends are over for sure
I'd honestly rather always have a projector for movies and shows. The oled may have better blacks and be faster with the gtg etc. So if I did a lot of console gaming that required super fast movement, maybe the oled... But for my indie games and such, the projector was awesome
Great video. Another thing I can't afford right now lol. But Japan! I hope the is a video soon on the reason for the nice and your take in the area. You always have some interesting insights. Are you in the mountain area or big city?
No mention of price? I love the thourogh review, maybe I just missed that part. Very interested will check into later
How dark does the room need to be for this? I imagine that you would need blackout curtains for the day?
As he's said, the brightness is 2000 lumen. Right against the wall. On a bright sunny day, you'd still be able to tell shadows from empty space. I know because my long-throw 1000 lumen (also laser) projector is perfectly usable on a rainy day
With the lights on, it's still like a TV... On the brightest day with 4 windows, it looked a little faded, but just close the blinds and it's fine
I just bought an Oled... and now I see this.
me too.. do both
Whats really impressive for what it can do.
Gonna be a little sad to see you move out of this space, feels really cosy.
Never go camping without a projector log.
5:14 what game is that?
Ghost Song. It's literally Super Metroid + hollow knight with great art/atmosphere.
OK that is annoying. I just found a video from you JUST today and it was 8 years ago! So i checked your channel you have videos like every 2 week. That is VERY annoying!
