Peter Parker's relaxing European vacation takes an unexpected turn when Nick Fury shows up in his hotel room to recruit him for a mission. The world is in danger as four massive elemental creatures -- each representing Earth, air, water and fire -- emerge from a hole torn in the universe. Parker soon finds himself donning the Spider-Man suit to help Fury and fellow superhero Mysterio stop the evil entities from wreaking havoc across the continent.

What I love about this movie is that even though we all obviously know that Mysterio is the bad guy, there are moments where we can actually suspend our disbelief for a minute. Like a magician before you figure out their trick.

The thing about Superman is that he doesn't just put on glasses, he holds himself differently, acts more meek, and changes his posture - he changes his entire persona when he becomes Clark Kent.

Because I wasn't a comic geek, I LOVED Mysterio's big reveal, one of the best ones I've seen in a long time
Even the comic geeks got fooled big time with his reveal. Like yeah we all knew that he was a bad guy but when the entire film just kept showing him as good at some point you just kinda dropped the whole notion of his past.
Then the tech glasses scene. Oh how I love how the camera just stays on him for longer than usual and get that reveal.

@@ancientnames1275 I don't know, the comics tried to explain how he can stick to surfaces by saying he can manipulate electrostatic forces between himself and other objects, even through thinner materials like clothes and even shoes. And I agree about how his momentum just seems to stop, there's no evidence as to where all the energy goes -- is it transferred to dust? Do the roof tiles crack a little? Peter doesn't even jump or hop a bit to balance out the opposing force of his jump on the roof. Newton's Third Law is probably crying somewhere

I just want to imagine how other experienced Avengers would be able to easily solve this crisis. Iron man may have been super smart enough to check for radar/radio communication in the area and just eliminate all the drones but bursting a single EMP. Thor just needs one big lightning blast to fry all the drones. No amount of drones can take down a raging Hulk. I think Cap may have a hard time alone fighting but may be able to see through Mysterio's facade in an instant. Same goes for Black widow and Hawkeye and REAL Nick Fury being experienced war veterens.
My only real comment is how stupid peter was to trust a guy he just met, stark earned his trust and was an established hero already.

And plus, you can see with how Mysterio was almost like his "mentor" in the scenes before Peter found out that Mysterio was actually a fraud. His previous mentor just died and he was trusting anybody at that point. And plus, "Nick Fury" trusted him so it's pretty natural that Peter would trust him too, I mean, hell, he's Nick Fury.

The thing is he handed over a satellite coordinated drone weapon systems to someone he just met, I honestly doubt that you would hand over a weapon just like that, I know I definitely would not just hand over something like that.
Basically that scene is the equivalent of a fresh solider who is a drone pilot handing over the controls to someone he just met
Oh captain America, black widow, hawkaye wouldn't have done even a bit against these mechanised drones. Only Thor and Ironman would have been able to do something . Hulk would cause more destruction than drones itself.

When he came in and saved the city i got goosebumps we all knew that mysterio would be the villain but they made him so likeable that we hoped that he was a good guy plus him shooting laserbeams out of floating triangles is pretty badass

They based his origin on the Elementals from Marvel, and only used the name too sell toys and such

Notice how Spiderman was soaked with water when Hydroman punches him. You think he got affected by any of the other elementals? No. Because they were ILLUSIONS. When Hydroman is defeated, he doesn’t even explode or make a defeated sound, he just falls back into a water drain. I’m pretty sure that’s the REAL Hydroman.
