I really enjoyed this video. I’m 6m pregnant and currently in nesting mode and this was very relaxing to watch! I love the sensory bags for the older sibling so going to make those! Was so soothing watching you prep/cook, you should post more easy cooking meals! ♥️ thanks for sharing!
The sensory bins are very inspirational! Thanks for sharing. I just had my second (2.5 year old and 6 week old) and I'm excited to incorporate these into our crazy days 🤗
The Hakka is a low suction breast pump not a collection device. That’s why they have the lady bug. My lactation consultants advices to use the lady bug until your supply is regulated because the Hakka is mimicking another baby feeding vs just collecting.
I normally dont comment or like anything but this video is great! I love it when your not second guessing yourself & you get your sh’t done! Good job mama❤️😉
Hi Sweet mama. I just found out I’m pregnant with my second child. I have a 16 month old now… and let me tell you the water works started when you talked about mentally not prepared and the time away from our firsts. I’ve had the hardest time with that also.. but I feel like once that sweet baby is here our first baby will have love for little one and just understand! I truly believe they are way smarter than we give them credit for ❤️ the independence is good too. Good for the imagination. So be encouraged that there are GOOD things coming for our firsts as well! The heart will only expand not push away, rest in that mama. You’re doing dang amazing!
I felt that way when my second was about to arrive. You may not feel ready until she’s in your arms and that’s ok. Also…Make padcicles! A lot of them. I have 3 kids and I didn’t know they were a thing until my last birth. I did them for my 3rd. GAMECHANGER. You are beautiful and your home is lovely.
Thanks for sharing helpful tips to keep the toddlers entertained AND meal prep ideas! Props to you woman for doing as much as you do this far along in pregnancy ❤️
Lol probably the realest and most relatable postpartum prep! I’m pregnant with my second and even just the perri bottle was so true! I loved everything the hospital gave me more than anything!
I’m with you! I loved the hospital peri bottle. Thank you for making this video. This is so helpful for first time moms and mom‘s who need to remember what to do the next time around 🤣
Hopefully this time around your postpartum experience will go better!! Mine was night and day. I bled a ton less the second time and overall felt better physically and emotionally.
Brilliant ideas, the sensory bins i wish i had knew about these when i had my first two kids. You will find a balance when little baby arrives it does all fall into place just takes time and patience i understand your nervousness but i wish i had prepared myself like you have done with made up meals and postpartum stuff nearby. Your preparing for it even though mentally you feel like you aren’t. xxx 😘
I didn’t make padsicles because my hospital gave me extra pack ice packs, I loved them! These recipes looks so comforting and perfect for postpartum ❤️
i 100% agree that the hospital peri bottle is best! 😂 also i just used tucks pads PP and not padsicles! love the sensory bag ideas can’t wait to try them too! 💞 and lastly you’re a great momma no matter what and Rocky will not forget that once baby girl is here 💞
I love all your sensory bag ideas!! Definitely want to try some of those! My 2nd baby was just born 2 months ago and I related SO much to all the feelings you were talking about at the end... one thing I forgot is how much newborns sleep haha. That gave me more time than I thought I'd have with my older daughter right at the beginning! ;)
I don’t feel mentally prepared or prepared prepared, lol. I still have sooo much to do to prep my house that I haven’t had time to mentally prepare. I thought I was at least mentally prepared when we decided to TTC, but now that the due date is approaching & I’m becoming more aware of newborn days/the newborn stage, I’m a little apprehensive. You really do forget, & now that I know it’s in my future, I’ve been paying more attention to those posts (that come up in my mom groups on fb & TH-cam rec videos) & it’s bringing me back & giving me a reality check. But ya, we moved into our house 2 wks before my first was born & ever since then our house has been a work in progress. I finally have somewhat of a vision to how I want things to be organized (kind of) but garnering the stamina to accomplish it all has been tough. I am making progress, but it still feels like so much needs to be done. Also, something clicked recently & I’ve been getting better at decluttering! Im hoping I get better & better so that eventually even more will go. But for now, im comfortable with what im keeping & what goes. Anyways, I can totally relate to feeling nervous about having another LO. Im due in 2 months, but I know as I progress, the less I’ll want or be able to do…
yesss those target nursing bras are amazing - i still wear mine allllll the time and i haven't been nursing/pumping for over a year now. :D they are so comfy!!!
HIGHLY recommend silverette cups for nursing. im a nicu and postpartum nurse and found them to be the best product for nursing moms i cared for. i used them for about 4 months and my nipples became cracked and would bleed but i didn’t need any creams and it healed with the natural silver and some breastmilk. helped with soothing them as well. also had the elvie and haaka and loved and used them both. elvie i didnt get as much as the haaka but used it more when my baby got bigger
I know it’s super gross but I tried the midwives brew when I was 39 and a day with my first baby because I was being induced as well and I was only able to drink a little bit of it but it really did put me into labor, I was shocked!! If you try it though you’ve been warned, it’s so gross 😂 I’m so excited for you!! I’m sure your emotions will be all over the place which is normal but make sure to give yourself some grace, you and rocky will transition but with any type of change it takes time and patience, just try to stay positive and think about how the amount of love in your family is about to double, so exciting!! ❤️
Oh you are so close, congrats!!!! And I had loads of padsicles in my freezer, with aloe Vera and witch hazel, used it once - was reeeealy unpleasant and even burnt a little. What nurses in my hospital used and it helped a lot (I had 3rd degree tear and horrible swelling) is a normal pad with some arnica Essence (we can easily buy it here). It was cheap and I didn’t actually end up using anything else. Good luck, mama!
I’ll have to check my dollar store for the dentist kit!! I had seen another mom mention making marks on the teeth with dry erase marker to have your little “brush the teeth” I love the cotton ball idea too
Hi mom i like your video and don’t worry, dont give your self so much pressure. I feel you I have a son and soon to be mom to a second baby son so I know the feeling of being lost believe me but at the end of the day kids forget and your son will be also very excited when yr daughter will be born and might help you in daily routine and hugging her sister holding the bottle to feed her, etc… so don’t be stressed out just relax and have a good sleep it will all be good trust me
If you're able to, see a chiropractor. It'll help SO MUCH with labor. I saw a chiropractor the last month or 2 and it definitely helped with the pushing. I only pushed for an hour and had 1 tear 🙂
Honestly I think I would've signed up for like hello fresh or home chef to deliver the meals. It's probably a lot easier and maybe just as much $ without putting in all this work. I think I've done like 3 subscriptions where you get free meals and all I did was use a different card and email haha
I totally relate to the mental aspect of having a 2nd child. Im expecting my little one to arrive in July and I’ll have two under two so my minds legit everywhere! Your not alone 🤍
Hey girl! For the teeth, maybe try putting playdough on/in the teeth to be brushed off. Or even kinetic sand, might be a little easier to brush off than playdough 😆
For the dentist one play dough to get stuck in the teeth and brush it out and you could use shaving cream if he doesn’t put things in his mouth, if not use whipped up chickpea juice and whip it and put that on the teeth to brush them !
Omg you’re getting so close! I remember when I was pregnant last year with my first baby and I actually commented on one of your videos when I was 36/37 weeks pregnant asking for uplifting advice cause I was already so over it. Luckily my babygirl came on her on right at 38 weeks! Anyways I think the meal preparation is such a great idea! I saw a bunch of videos of moms doing this but I just didn’t have the energy and specially not knowing when I’d go into labor. All the stations were helpful to me for like the first week, then it became a mess! Lol.
I got Roids postpartum too and I was induced so I wonder if there is a correlation there! Prayers that you have a safe and successful labor and postpartum !
Loved this vlog Kilean! Instead of making padsicles you can buy postpartum pads on Amazon that you snap & they go icy cold - really effective for any swelling & for pain relief in those first 24 hours, and mess free as there’s no water involved. I also got haemorrhoids from pushing and was induced with my last pregnancy, also preparing myself for it happening again 🙈 xx
I love the sensory bags, I never would have thought of this. I only have one bubba but I worry about all that you worry about too, hence why I haven’t started trying yet.. but there are some great podcasts out there that might pump you up, I’m sure there are books but if you’re anything like me you need a good month to get through a book 😅😅 Beyond the bump podcast have covered going from 1 to 2 babies I swear ❤️ they always seem to bring me back and help out x Also I didn’t use the peri pads, I used the little frozen blocks from the hospital and body ice peri gel packs and boobie packs they were wonderful 👏🏼
Mom guilt is REAL. I’m starting to feel it too. I’m worried that I’m so distracted by preparing the new baby that I’m not allowing myself to allow it to fully sink in & then when baby comes all the floodgates will open.
I really loved this video! I’m due in 7 weeks and I’ve been obsessed with your videos! Ekko is so adorable congrats 💗 Can you link the small burp clothes and the ribbed pajamas you grabbed for your basket in your room?
I'm pregnant with my third and I felt so guilty with my second too because my daughter and i were attached at the hip still she is my little besties and we planned the second pregnancy and everything but I felt a tinge of regret and guilt for my first. But now 37+2 with my third and my first and second are still my little besties we are so excited but here i am feeling guilty again so I think it is totally normal to grieve the relationships you have right now before baby because they are about to change forever but not in a bad way at all.
I’m glad i found a fellow TH-camr mama who is so similar!! My son is 20 months, and i am due with baby #2, a baby girl, on 4/12. 🥰 As far as padsicles, my nurses told me that they only help in the first 24 hours. After that maybe it is personal preference?
Ok might be weird but what if you smeared food (ones that’s safe for rocky to eat if he does) all over the teeth and mouth and have him brush it off? lol just an idea!
Great video Kilean! Thank you and soooo excited for you and your Family!! 🥰😊 Btw, with Gestational Diabetes, how did induction not be a requirement at 38 weeks is it? I thought that they always have to induce if you go over 38 weeks or something? I am just curious, because if I ever get G.D. again, I wouldn't want to be induced again either. Any info. is helpful. Thank You!! ❤💕
Hi! My drs have never said anything like that. With my son they didn’t want me to go over 40 weeks (I didn’t get insuced til 40+2) and this time they don’t want me to go over 39. Not sure why it’s different, but I haven’t ever been on insulin and have always controlled it through diet, not sure if that was the case for you too :) it’s so hard to know what will be okay for you and your baby but I just remember that doctors don’t know all every time, they are typically just following protocols :)
@@KileanRodriguez Hi! Thank you so much! That's very useful information. I believe that 100% about doctors and protocols. I was induced at 38 weeks, but I also had a 7lb. 1 oz. Healthy baby. 🥰😊 Thank you!! I know your baby Girl is going to be BEAUTIFUL! Can't wait to see her! YAY!!! 😘💗💕
I had GD with baby number 2 and needed insulin twice a day since my fasting numbers would not budge. I was told I couldn’t go past 40 but I ended up getting induced the day before 39weeks for super low fluid.
Just try to soak up all your time with Rocky before she comes. Quality> quantity! Once she comes you will find a routine that works for you. When your husband is home and can help give him the opportunity to spend time with baby so you can have one on one time with Rocky. Also take him on little dates even if it’s just to run to Target or to grab a drink or treat from somewhere fast. Yes, you won’t be able to give him your undivided attention and as much one on one time but you are giving him such a gift and opportunity to grow with his sister. My kids are 2 years and 3 weeks apart and also boy then girl. When she was tiny he was completely obsessed with her. And she slept so much that it was easy to get time in just with him. It’s harder now that she’s older and they are on the same nap schedule. He is currently 3.5 and she’s 1.5 and they are little besties. It’s going to be great you just have to get there! 😘

I had the upside down peri bottle and I liked the hospital one better 😅
I use cut tissue paper and pom poms for sensory bin filler and kids love it! Can be reused and don’t take up a lot of storage space.
