It really was a solid days worth of food! It was all regular fare. I think another few months and the crackers would have been completely stale though.

I also prefer tuna packed in oil, but it's always way more expensive, so I've devised a workaround. I buy tuna in water, drain it, and stir in 2 tbsp of oil. Then I let it sit in the fridge overnight, and the oil soaks right into the tuna. HUGE improvement!
That is a really great idea. Then you also have control of which oil is added. Not only for taste preference, but for healthy eating.

The rubber is to prevent dirt from going down the barrel of your rifle to prevent barrel blocks if you drop your gun in the mud
I am not sure that I agree. I know that is a use for them. But my explanation is certainly funnier and more likely. I think the condom would be issued with kit and not with the meal if it were for barrel obstruction. But I am not 100% sure either way to be honest.

Great video review. Was wondering why a lot of the writing was similar to spanish (derived from latin) and i was todays years old when i found out main language in Mozambique is Portuguese.
I thought the same thing. Google had to set me straight! It is crazy how much cross pollination of culture goes on around the world.

This looked really tasty. I would have expected something odd from such a varied culture, but the food you did receive looked really yummy. I suppose my first thought on viewing this is why do the police need a 24-hour ration? But, whatever. I wish I knew where to get ahold of one of those. Looks great and a very good video review, complete with coffee and shirt-staining. Don't fret, I spill on myself all the time. Can't be helped when you are enjoying good food.
I really was expecting something odd. But it was all normal food. And it was edible too! I have a lot of unanswered questions about the necessity of a 24 hour ration for police! I always drop food on myself in a review. So I am used to it!

TY Ration Nerd. Rare ration I never saw before. Condom makes good sense as a generation of folks died of AIDS before they knew what that is. (slim they called it , and witch doctors could not cure you ) Chow looks great , yes I would eat any of it . ;)
It was an excellent ration! I am not making light of the aids epidemic in Africa. Though it was shocking and funny to get a jimmy hat in a ration, I applaud their effort to do whatever they can to keep their people safe. But it is a little sketchy to be giving out a condom to your cops. Aren't they supposed to be doing cop stuff....LOL. I guess everyone gets a lunch break!
I know the condom was laughed off, but that has some pretty sinister overtones imho.

Or, they just really don't want their cops catching a case of STD. I am not sure the actual purpose of course. Since I do not know for sure I will speculate on the side of humor.

I wanna say I have seen an African ration before, but I don't remember who's channel or what type it was. It definitely wasn't this one. If I'm not mistaken and it was an African one I saw, then it was only one.
I searched all over TH-cam for an African ration and could not find one. But like I said, what do I know. LOL
