I love Elijah Craig. All offerings. The Barrel Proofs are outstanding, and as you mentioned with this, NOT everyday sippers. The 94 I have a glass very often. It's my go-to in winter when the temperature begins to drop.
Your knowledge of whiskey is great to listen to! First time I bought this whiskey I was surprised at how good it was for the price. I can get it for 20 dollars here in wisconsin
As I was reading your comment I'd swallow a sip about half a minute ago and yes, you're right.. in fact it reminded me of drinking mint tea in Marrakech! Lovely
I recently started going back to my favorite bourbons after playing with mostly different kinds of scotch, thanks to this channel, and I am very glad that I decided to pick up Elijah Craig. It's sweet at first, but as it sits and you sip, the intense wood oak flavors come out. This one is really good.
I was really excited when I read your comment. Then checked Northern European prices... Four Roses sb 25 euro (around 27 dollar) and Elijah Craig sb 37 euro (40 dollar). I guess Four Roses has better distribution out here.
@@CountryRock2k1 you're probably right, but Ben explains it himself on this video th-cam.com/video/rFdGpgtvdLU/w-d-xo.html I quote "It is an individual hand crafted designed by Horst Luening." Here is the glass www.whisky.com/forum/uploads/editor/Untitled_YFF2PB132X.jpg
For the price this is amazing. A blend of 8 to 12 year barrels... It's definitely my bargain daily drinker.
you sound like an alcoholic

I just want to say that you have a very soothing voice.
I've had a couple of sips and then just let it sit. the lingering aftertaste is sweet tea.

Thanks for the review, this stuff remains as one of my favorite American Whiskeys.
My go to bourbon.
very good bourbon one of my favorite the other is noble oak bourbon nice whiskey for a great price
What do you prefer? This one or Four Roses single barrel?
This is great in cocktails as well.
I had an old fashion made with this and it was A1.
It’s good with cocktails but by itself it’s somewhat generic. Still decent and hits the spot if longing for a whiskey taste
The barrel proof 12 year is supposed to be the jam... still looking
also my go to , a great sipper. $23.00 at my local grocer.
$52.49 here in New Brunswick Canada as of today when I was in the Liquor Store.
Wish I talked like this dude
Hello from Kentucky.
🤘🤘🤘
I’ve got my eye on this
Thanks Ben, still tell your old man Bourbon is better than that other stuff.. hahaa. Have yall reviewed many Texas Bourbons yet?
Is it Sold in Michigan?
For me hard to find a whisky better in this price range. Also like Eagle rare a lot.
Compared to Four Roses small batch , Elijah Craig small batch is better and within the same price range.

@@Kevin-ps5wq They both(small batch) cost about $35-$40 in my area.
Why do whisky reviewers talk with a certain flair. Like horst?
I’ve try it last weekend and I like it ! But all bourbons are so similar... scotch is the truth 😉
What kind of glasses are those??
Copita glass.
I think they are especially crafted. The copita glasses don't open up like these. Check them out.
@@benjaminsitaud9743 there's a lot of different kinds of copita glasses out there.
