What I can say is I’m 20 n I do have bumps all over my face Retinols n tretinion can be used once your near 30 cause I believe if your skin is not in the need of a strong ingredient or active one should not mess the skin up Use niacinamide or lactic acid n a very light moisturiser trust me your skin will be smooth as your to young as well

Tretinoin being available otc is both a boon and a curse. For ppl who are aware of the side effects and retinization process but can't visit a dermatologist, they can get it and use it with caution. But for others without prior knowledge there is a definite possibility that they might end up with irritated skin.

Studies n data says don’t use vitamin c or niacinamdie together Use niacinamide in night n vitamin c in the day along with the sunscreen N you can top it up with a moisturiser or a squalane oil
Hi Rubina Totally unrelated request Dr Shah and Dr Sam Bunting say that tinted sunscreen with iron oxide give more Sun protection for people with pigmentation can you please look into it I m unable to find decent tinted Sunscreen which matches my skin tone and will pairing my sunscreen with compact containing iron oxide work. I had few specific questions for you... My mother is in her late 50s.. I have gotten her started on Retin A 0.05% following your videos on retinol series.. She had never quite used sunscreen & there are stubborn pigmentation in her face.. 1. She uses oriflame night cream (loaded with aqua, aloe, glycol etc) followed by Retin A thrice a week from the 1st week, since she never faced any irritation.. Its been 3 weeks now.. Can she start applying it every night? 2. Morning post using Himalayan Neem face wash she uses Rose water, aloe gel & Jovees 50 spf sunscreen (she feels bit burning sensation post applying sunscreen). Could you please suggest if this regime is OK or would you suggest a different regime? 3. Could you please also suggest a good cream / moisture /or anything else that can accelerate her fight against pigmentation. I saw your video on Cetaphil spf 15 cream.. Will that be good. She has not been into skin care at all & just getting started... So a simplified routine will be helpful. She had consulted a dermatologist in my hometown for pigmentation and was told that these spots will not fade.. Was suggested some ointment too but it didn't help at all. 1- stop that and move to biosilk moissturiser- its better for her skin type and ceramides will do a world of good 2- try lacto sunscreen...any irritation is best avoided. if the stinging settles down in under a minute then you dont need to worry 3 cetaphil is great for monring routine. if she has sun damage then depending on severity it might be difficult to fade yes...but I am sure in about 4-5 years she will benefit immensely. its a long term plan...since sun damage takes years to show up when it first does.... I am not in bangalore :) hugs to you and her...

I used minimalist Ha,c,alpha and Retinoid bit nothing worked on my pigmentation or melasma in more than three months. Now I met the dermatologist but since two weeks no actives only her given creams, eye cream but nothing is changing. Don't know....will it even work or not... 😭
Use products that have more than one active. Like Glow drops serum from Earth Rythm. Or use more potent forms of actives. Like instead of 3-Ethyl Ascorbic acid , use L-ascorbic acid. Never forget spf 50 in the morning. Use thick moisturizer at night to create a healing environment for skin. Take your vitamins and minerals and Exercise.
I had same issue as I had every product of minimalist and nothing worked but recently I gave my skin a break and started with simple routine ditching all serum and kept it simple and focusing more on skin barrier and I could see good result and healing
hey Rachna, it takes time...just stay patient and stay with the routine that the dermatologist has suggested. I am so glad you are taking advise from a derm ❣❣ time lagtaa hai...I would say give it at least a year in the minimum :) hugs
Thank you for such an informative video.🥰 Even I have done a lot of research on the same over the internet, watched over 40-50 videos and websites and finally decided to incorporate tretnion in my skin care. I started it slow with 0.05% in Aug 2021, I did not get any purging or peeling 🤞 Now I am using it every alternate night, my skin is perfectly fine with no reactions as such. But at the same time I am not seeing any effect except a very negligible smoothness in skin. Should I graduate 0.1% from 0.05%. Causes looks like it is not working for me. plz suggest. ( Just wanted to add here I suffer from hereditary malesma,😔 wil it help in that? )

slightly yes but severe ones require medical intervention. also obsessive use of sunscreen..sun damage is one direct cause of festoons.

please meet a doctor to understand why you have pigmentation and acne...generally at your age the reason is hormonal and you get very good results with the right medicine and care.

I usually use AHA BHA serum from be minimalist and top up with niacinamide. I use tretinoin just once a week now taking care of all the instructions by you. My question is if it's okay to continue using my other serums on the other nights... (AHA BHA and Niacinamide).

Dr Shah and Dr Sam Bunting say that tinted sunscreen with iron oxide give more Sun protection for people with pigmentation can you please look into it I m unable to find decent tinted Sunscreen which matches my skin tone and will pairing my sunscreen with compact containing iron oxide work.

Been using Tretinoin microsphere gel 0.04% for the past couple of months .....it has given me no irritation at all...I even use it near my nose and mouth area...Wanted to know if it's as effective as the other tretinoin...if tretinoin is not used near the eye area,how does it take care of the fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes?

Hi Rubina... I recently came across your channel & oh boy! Am I hooked... I really appreciate the amount of effort and research you put in building your content.. I had few specific questions for you... My mother is in her late 50s.. I have gotten her started on Retin A 0.05% following your videos on retinol series.. She had never quite used sunscreen & there are stubborn pigmentation in her face..
1. She uses oriflame night cream (loaded with aqua, aloe, glycol etc) followed by Retin A thrice a week from the 1st week, since she never faced any irritation.. Its been 3 weeks now.. Can she start applying it every night?
2. Morning post using Himalayan Neem face wash she uses Rose water, aloe gel & Jovees 50 spf sunscreen (she feels bit burning sensation post applying sunscreen). Could you please suggest if this regime is OK or would you suggest a different regime?
3. Could you please also suggest a good cream / moisture /or anything else that can accelerate her fight against pigmentation. I saw your video on Cetaphil spf 15 cream.. Will that be good. She has not been into skin care at all & just getting started... So a simplified routine will be helpful.
She had consulted a dermatologist in my hometown for pigmentation and was told that these spots will not fade.. Was suggested some ointment too but it didn't help at all.

1- stop that and move to biosilk moissturiser- its better for her skin type and ceramides will do a world of good
2- try lacto sunscreen...any irritation is best avoided. if the stinging settles down in under a minute then you dont need to worry
3 cetaphil is great for monring routine.
if she has sun damage then depending on severity it might be difficult to fade yes...but I am sure in about 4-5 years she will benefit immensely. its a long term plan...since sun damage takes years to show up when it first does....

I used minimalist Ha,c,alpha and Retinoid bit nothing worked on my pigmentation or melasma in more than three months. Now I met the dermatologist but since two weeks no actives only her given creams, eye cream but nothing is changing. Don't know....will it even work or not... 😭
Use products that have more than one active. Like Glow drops serum from Earth Rythm.
Or use more potent forms of actives. Like instead of 3-Ethyl Ascorbic acid , use L-ascorbic acid.
Never forget spf 50 in the morning.
Use thick moisturizer at night to create a healing environment for skin.
Take your vitamins and minerals and Exercise.
Also consider taking a collagen supplement
I had same issue as I had every product of minimalist and nothing worked but recently I gave my skin a break and started with simple routine ditching all serum and kept it simple and focusing more on skin barrier and I could see good result and healing

Even I have done a lot of research on the same over the internet, watched over 40-50 videos and websites and finally decided to incorporate tretnion in my skin care. I started it slow with 0.05% in Aug 2021, I did not get any purging or peeling 🤞 Now I am using it every alternate night, my skin is perfectly fine with no reactions as such. But at the same time I am not seeing any effect except a very negligible smoothness in skin. Should I graduate 0.1% from 0.05%. Causes looks like it is not working for me. plz suggest. ( Just wanted to add here I suffer from hereditary malesma,😔 wil it help in that? )
