Just recently got my Beretta 1301 Comp Pro....wonderful shotgun..... love the way the lifter goes down & stays out of the way AND that the the end of the lifter is flat.... compared to my Benelli M2 that from the factory comes with a "fork" typ of lifter that needs to be swapped for a flat one by TTI ....unless you want to experience "Benelli thumb". Great job Beretta !!!

I've looked at a few vids covering the 1301... if similar to other 1301's, the cross-bolt safety should be reversible. It was a concern of mine, as well.
I finally got my M2 set up and it wasn’t cheap. This gun will shoot softer and very only a tiny bit more likely to malfunction for $1,000 less then my build and only about 2hrs worth of filing to open up that gate to where I like it.
This Beretta 1301 Comp Pro is the best shotgun I’ve ever owned. In fact, it’s now the ONLY one I own, because why keep inferior 12 gauge shotguns that I enjoy shooting less?
I thought this was going to be a high end Stoeger copy (they do blue too) until I saw the loading port. That's a neat feature. The thought of a 3.5" shell receiver on a 3" gun is interesting too. It's probably more fair to compare it to the Mossberg 930 JM Pro than to the M3K. At the price talked about why not look at a Benelli? Funny enough, Beretta owns both Stoeger and Benelli. I feel like they are crowding their own market.
Some shooters are snobs and want Gucci labels and other just want functionality, (Stoeger). I went M2 because I wanted to fit wood stocks for sexiness and a more traditional look, (Montefeltro stocks) because how your gun looks does affect how you feel and thus also how you shoot. A Stoeger covered in skateboarding tape, a threaded silver dollar bolt drop, JB welded safety bulge and hacked open loading gate with a giant extended choke/brake may do the job just as good or perhaps better on paper but you gotta “feel” good too. (I have one of those and I have beat guys with $5,000 built guns for $800 of ugly Stoeger).
Benelli M4's retractable stock is made from metal. Making it heavy. Beretta relies heavily on polymer for weight reduction. Beretta is meant to be a high end sport shotgun that's fast and OP as fuck. where as Benelli is making a tank shotgun that can can just keep going. They do different things.
@1 A B It has some other modifications such as an enlarged loading gate, modified lifter and enlarged ejection port. Also the mag tube extension to 10 rounds and tube bracket is a great addition from factory Looks like a perfect gun for IPSC / practical shotgun courses. But the blue receiver it is a bit off putting in my opinion.. I find that bright colours on guns ruin their visual appeal.. unless it's a very iconic gun & paint scheme like a gold desert eagle for example. Quite a shame actually as i'm in the market for a competition shotgun and i'm a massive fan of the 1301 and it's gas powered operation, it's very good a cycling a wide range of low or high power shells reliably and with a fast cyclic rate. I haven't seen the new 1301 comp pro in person yet but when I do and If I really like it I might be able to bring myself to overlook the blue colour.
Y’all are excited about what exactly? Rubber furniture and a Red follower? For $2,000? Remington 1200’s were $975 and up for real wood and fantastic gas gun
Did Ricardo mention if the shotgun comes with a plastic trigger group? Looks like my A400 Xcel, which came with a plastic trigger group. That was very disappointing to pay over a grand and get a cheap plastic trigger group. It chipped when I was reinserting the retaining pins. Beretta needs to step up their game if they expect repeat customers.
If memory serves, it cannot be imported with an extension, but it can be installed upon arrival. If that's correct, they probably didn't bother shipping over one extension for a show gun. EDIT: Memory does serve correctly. The "sporting purpose" rule for imports doesn't allow bore size of over .50 unless it has some "proven" hunting/target shooting use (and 3-gun or "action shooting" do not count). In order to get any shotgun as large or larger than 36 gauge into the country, it must have less than or equal to a 5 round capacity for it to be accepted by precedent (otherwise it would go though essentially the same process as new items sent to the ATF).
i hate that you said that it was going to be on shelves around august. but we will never see this gun in the usa becouse of an import regulation via beretta

I wish it had a reversible safety, or at the very least a Mossberg like safety, would be helpful for us lefties.

1975.00 hell I have a Stoeger that I paid 450.00 put in another 250-300 in upgrades and I'm sure it will shoot just as well as that Beretta.
