Your question: “Did he sing every song like this???”
    Answer: “Yes, and then some.”
Freddie poured his heart and soul into every single performance. He wanted the people in the audience to get good value for the price of the ticket; he wanted the concert experience to be somewhat different than listening to their recordings. But I think it was more than that-Freddie was a true artist and always performed each song by expressing the particular emotion behind each song as he sang. It sounds like something obvious and easy and her few performers actually do it. Probably cuz it’s exhausting and hard to conjure that emotion the 1000th time you have sung that song. But Freddie always brought it. I, for one, am very thankful that I was alive at a time to have witnessed his genius! Thanks for doing this reaction!

I love that you did this. When I first heard this I was struck by Freddie’s voice how pure and true it was. The song has such an atmosphere about it like it’s some kind of medieval tale of Knights and their ladies.
To think this is live is astounding. This is better than the recording. Imagine sitting in that audience and having this performance going on. The music is mystical. It’s like it weaves a spell. You don’t want it to end. Thank you for doing this.

This performance is one of my favorites and really showcases how pure Freddie’s voice is! One reason why I am such a Queen fan is that they were the same or even better live. Freddie wrote this, I believe, it really does showcase his range. In the middle of the song, it kind of goes down and gets an instrumental, but it’s absolutely incredible and then he brings the ending out strong. This is one of my favorites of all the songs. He absolutely takes us to church on this one!! I always tear up on the instrumental portion of it in the middle, It’s just so brilliantly done

The first time I saw them live, I was in the front row and I remember closing my eyes and it felt like I was listening to their recording. Frigging amazing! He totally controlled the entire crowd. Magical, powerful, compelling, passionate, apparition-like song. So glad you reviewed "White Queen", because I'm not sure I've heard anyone touch this beautiful ballad. So many of Queen's songs are underrated, and this certainly is one of them. In 1975, Freddie's voice was crystal clear, with the ability to traverse octaves easily, and hold notes endlessly. As he sings "White Queen," Freddie draws you into a mystical realm with his amorous and erotic voice. Unfortunately, he started smoking cigarettes, and he developed the dreaded vocal nodes. As time progressed, Freddie developed his signature "growl", which is also quite appealing. In this song, let's not forget about Freddie's ardent and intense piano playing that is absolutely mesmerizing. Freddie easily could have been a concert pianist. Thank you, Salvo, for reviewing this song.

Thank you for another Queen reaction! Any time someone tries to tell me Queen is over-hyped and over-rated I think of this song. The instrumental section is just as emotional as the vocal and that's really saying something. This band had the vocals, the songwriting, and the musicianship. Their passion and hard work make them timeless.

This song never got the attention it deserved. One thing I want to make clear. These were four wonderful musicians. One who I don't want forgotten is John Deacon, one of the greatest bass players in our ttime. I do not want him to be ignored in the way George Harrison. Listen for his bass in all tthe Queen cuts. He is fantastic as all four of the Queen team are.

I hear you,Sal. Freddie had utter control of his voice…and such nimbleness and his pitch placement was perfect. This is very complex melodically and he handles it was ease, confidence and aplomb. A master at work.
Saying Freddie is “good” is a huge understatement. He is, perhaps, the best pop rock voice ever. Certainly many consider him so. Not hard rock….but that wasn’t Queen’s genre anyway

It was written by Brian for his previous band “Smile” in 1968, several years before the band “Queen” would be created in 1970.
Queen's catalog of music is wide and varied. It includes soft rock, hard rock, progressive rock, thrash rock, area rock, rockabilly, R&B, blues, gospel, disco, jazz, folk, ragtime, opera, ballads, British music hall tunes, etc, and songs combining any number of these genders (i.e "T.he March of the Black Queen" - th-cam.com/video/SoBMhx_ap_g/w-d-xo.html which is too complex to ever perform live)
One of my favorite of Queen's early songs is called "Liar" - th-cam.com/video/FK9YSri2xNQ/w-d-xo.html.
Also, I love this medley of 3 songs "In The Lap of The Gods - Revisited", "Seven Seas of Rhye", and "Tear It Up" - th-cam.com/video/sb-uUzLu3Wc/w-d-xo.html

I so LOVE this song, it highlights not only Freddie's vocals, but also his insane piano skills, and with Brian enhancing the 'conversation' between guitar and piano, it becomes so hauntingly mesmerizing and beautiful... one of my all-time favorites. Roger and John round out the song so expertly, keeping the tempo flowing so smoothly and effortlessly... yes, TOTALLY underrated!!
Another totally underrated song would be "The Prophet's Song", since BoRhap out-shined it on the Night at the Opera album... or "In the Lap of the Gods", the first one, not the 'revisited' one, that's a totally different song... blessings to you, my dear friend...

It’s easy to forget this is a live performance until the applause kicks in. Perfection. Originally did not have a piano line.
This album was one side white, Brian, and the opposite side black was Freddie. Kinda like their nail polish. Lol
“Did he always sing like this live?”
    Why yes, yes he did.

Great reaction...Brian May wrote “White Queen” about a girl in his university ...he really liked her but didn’t have the courage to approach her..believe it or not ”Black Queen” is featured in the game “Final Fantasy” V111...Queen is everywhere🤩

Mystical magical Queen - Brian penned this beauty about a girl he had a crush on in his college Biology class! Always get a Tolkien vibe from this performance! The blending of piano & guitar is so wonderful.🧝🏻‍♀️🍃

Yes White Queen is one of my favs- Freddie puts all his emotions into his singing- this is tearing your soul out of your body!! Play ‘March of the Black Queen”. Body Language is also a different type of Queen@ rather sexual but then it’s rock! Just for fun and watching Freddie with his friends at his 39th birthday party- Freddie pulls out all the stops- fabulous and cheeky !, called Living on my Own@ please check through the videos offered up because some are abstract and poor quality but you can find the clear one@-- cheeky Freddie!💛🍑

I saw Queen several times beginning in 1975 and it was always perfection. There will never be another Freddie, my angel. Fred gave 100% to every so g.

What we can say is that Freddie was feeling music with is body and was able to translate it with his voice, yes very underrated song and there are many more : check out Somebody to love in Montreal 1981 or Love of my life, or Another one by the dust, or Bohemian Rhapsody, same concert… Queen is often better live

Freddie’s gift was that he could sing incredibly and you felt he was singing straight to you. He with Brian May masterfully on the guitar, John Deacon genius on bass and Roger Taylor backing Freddie with his powerful drumming and killer scratchy voice. They are geniuses. 16 albums so plenty more for you to check out!

I don't care for the studio version of the song from Queen II but I love this version. This is my favorite live songs by Queen.

You have no idea how much I enjoyed this reaction. Watching & listening as you're complimenting and in awe of Freddie's live vocals here, we knew, we knew what was coming up next! The piano notes hit and Brian's guitar takes off into the stratosphere. A piano/guitar dance begins. It's plum pretty, ain't it?
