Sugar Aloes has on of the sweetest voices in the calypso arenas and is a yearly performer at the Revue Tent (theater).

Sugar Aloes, a.k.a. Michael Anthony Osuana. Sugar Aloes, was crowned the winner of the Calypso Monarch 2008 Competition Michael Osowna known in the calypso world as Sugar Aloes a native of Trinidad and Tobago is a true ambassador of calypso and soca music.
Sugar Aloes is known for political satire, social commentary, love ballads and party songs. Smooth melodies, explicit renditions, very charismatic and handsome are just a few adjective to describe this versatile artist.
He is a ten times consecutive finalist of the “Calypso Monarch Competition” of Trinidad and Tobago, 1990 Young King, and has also received 1991 Sunshine Award for best political satire and social commentary.
Some of his hits include “ Whose in Charge, Soca is My Baby, Signs of the Time, Unity , Trinity Cross and One Caribbean”.

This was a true trini interview. A useful interview with serious points about how TUCO may be perceived by many calypsonians. and shares some interesting characteristics about the Calypsonian Mr. Michael O'Souna.
