Hello, I bought Pro Panel almost a year ago and it is my favorite tool to adjust Shadows and Highlights in difficult parts on a photo. Pro Panel has other features that I still need to learn, but I love Pro Panel. Thank you

Thanks, John, very helpful, The WHAT, behind a luminosity mask in PS, before the HOW your panel was used, was the best. To view in PS 1st, then explain/show what an L1 was, then to show the same thing in your panel was what I needed to see. Helped me to understand the whole concept better.

Exactly what I needed! Bought the pro panel extension a month ago but seldom use it because I'm overwhelmed with the tool. I'm new to photography and editing so Ps itself is a lot for me, one of the reasons why I bought this. Hope to see more tutorials in the future, John! Thanks 🙏

I've just bought the Pro Panel. Very well narrated. I imagine the user is only limited to what they can do with it - by their imagination.

Your explanation for first few minutes to create luminosity masks using Photoshop was clear with explanation of combo keyboard selection. However when you started to explain how to do similarly with pro panel you kinda went faster and didn’t explain which buttons on your pro panel are used. If you could redo this video but slow down by 50% and explain which buttons you are selecting and what they do in relation to Photoshop that would help us a lot. I’m a newbie at Photoshop but would like to use your pro panel more often.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes I agree I did go a bit fast. I have slowed down my teaching a bit since this was released and future videos will be a more modest pace. Btw it may help but in the settings in player you can select playback speed and even set it custom. At .85 speed it doesn't sound distorted and seems a bit better pace (maybe short term fix). -John

Can anyone help with my question about the panel? I have trouble wrapping my head around the difference between a luminosity mask and a luminosity selection.

The mask is created on the layer, from the selection. You make the selection for different brightness values, then this is used to make the precise adjustment or blend using the mask on the layer. Hope that helps

7 minutes before pro panel is discussed. Why?

For those of us that have not used a Luminosity mask before. I found it very helpful in understanding the why's. Then to move to the panel was wonderful...(John did say he was going to put a timestamp in the description, to skip ahead to just the panel...That I did not see)
